  1. @CARDOZZO i feel that. same with India. A lot of people think it's just poverty
  2. @Danioover9000 I'd love to see a healthy, nuanced example of a conservative saying that tbh. I've not seen that type of critique yet. Ben Shapiro, classic popular conservative, for example has a lot of bigoted takes mixed in. I'm not sure how far you can get with that ideology https://glaad.org/gap/ben-shapiro/
  3. I agree with that post but not this part, that it's the pov of the conservative. Ur like critiquing progressives from above but Many conservatives are against the movement as a whole, they'll point to one part of the movement as evidence of the movement being negative as a whole. Basically throwing the baby out with the bath water, lacking nuance, like OPs posts. It's like a blue vs yellow critique I guess
  4. @Boethius ? sheesh good post On top of that, gave me a great idea on how to turn theory into practice ?
  5. Ah i see I think a lot progress was made i do think a lot of progress can be made. I don't think cultural acceptance is here yet Gallup poll 2022 says that 30% of people don't support gay marriage in America. Now that's crazyy https://news.gallup.com/poll/1651/gay-lesbian-rights.aspx And acceptance just started very recently, maybe in the last 10 years. Things like internalized homophobia, that takes a long while for everyone to be on board. It doesn't heal so quick
  6. Honestly this is a great journalling question You can probably just journal, how do I love myself and come up with answers For me, it comes up as being easy on myself and giving myself patience and grace Just saying I love you to myself works great too, and also talking to yourself kindly as you mentioned Another thing that might be worth mentioning is leo said in a video that you can literally fall in love with yourself. Thought that was pretty cool at least for me bc that's a potential healing goal we can have But great question, much needed for my contemplation session
  7. What is that you dislike about LGTBQ? I'm just going off your comments of not liking pride month, not wanting it talked about it schools, not wanting there to be gay sex etc. Genuine question nothing srs
  8. What do you guys think are the most important principles when you want to attain mastery? No wrong answers
  9. Have some integrity with your sources and arguments dude , this isn't a thing
  10. I'm no expert on drag queen culture, but - don't let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch Let's say you run into a few over-the-top feminists, that shouldn't make you go all anti-women's rights. Or if you see a couple of people breaking windows, it doesn't mean the whole fight for black rights is wrong. Same goes for the LGBTQ+ movement. If something sketchy pops up, don't turn your back on the whole community. These groups have had it rough, with society and even laws pushing them down. It's important to remember that and understand the challenges they're facing. That's why we have these movements Just remember, no movement is picture-perfect. Idk if youre american but if you've ever read about the civil rights movement in the 60s, you'll know it was a real mess. Violence, rioting, crazy ideas, hate groups. But the core of the movement was important to understand in that black people were heavily discriminated on and that needed severe systemic change So yeah there's the core need for the movement and then there are parts of the movement that you can not agree with. But it gets weeded out in the long run I think
  11. @StarStruck Another thing; Tbh I bet they're projecting; Christians have been indoctrinating children for thousands of years lolll in hundreds of ways, some extremely abusive Some fun facts on how christians indoctrinated [in relation to school systems]: In 1925, there was a Scopes "Monkey" Trial, John T. Scopes, a high school teacher, faced legal consequences for teaching evolution, a practice that was against Tennessee law (teaching Christian world view over science) Until 1962 supreme court case Engel v. Vitale, Christians put Bible teaching first thing in the morning until it was declared unconstitutional (for trying to mix church and school/state) Christians have had a serious role in not teaching proper sex education for hundreds of years Dozens more A conscious stance is still pro lgbt in schools. But not the bad parts. But the stance is rooted first in pro. Just to teach it in healthy ways And what's funny is that the pro lgbt crowd comes from undoing indoctrination from Christians Also this is not true "teach them how to twerk and perform sexual acts"
  12. Best hm. There are a couple great ones I honestly think Success principles - jack Canfield is great. It's just very comprehensive and almost all of the principles are high quality And I also love, creative visualization Think and grow rich is also a staple
  13. thats toxic boy not bad boy ? As if just insulting the women will get u her ???? Bad boys i think are conventional masculinity which is diff. It's like male beauty standards (just a hypothesis)
  14. Well his question is about trauma healing. While going out and doing pua, and getting a gf has their unique value I think things like trauma focused-CBT, mindfulness meditation, IFS, inner child work is whats applicable here
  15. you assess what you want and find girls that give you it Like leo said , some girls can be very flaky, non interested etc. Don't waste your time on them. For you own sanity tbh I'd say 95% of girls aren't worth ur time
  16. @Leo Gura just curious, what are your thoughts on strict gender dynamics and does it influence your game?
  17. Just a small note, tho not to ur main point, I think success is a branch of self help but not self help itself
  18. Also quality of time spent is important
  19. Lol this thread Leo needs to add the book non violent communication to his booklist, this forum could use a dose of that ?
  20. Guys don't read so much 90% of the work is in action
  21. @CARDOZZO now that's nuts 60 to 200 is not a small jump
  22. you can still cut people out and stay away from them while not judging them, there's no contradiction
