  1. Charles seems to be pushing a more and more Green-centric agenda lately. I feel as if his writings and essays have become somewhat radicalized since COVID. I was at his Esalen retreat the week before shutdowns started last March, and it was clear he was going through a lot in his personal life. It seems to have darkened his worldview, and that is clearly reflected in his latest work. To me it feels he’s lost a bit of his integral meta perspective in favor of a more radical Green agenda. It’s a subtle change, but since I follow his work closely I’ve noticed the shift in nuance. Wondering if you’ve noticed the same, @aurum ? He just announced he’s taking a step back from his essay work to focus on some personal life stuff as well as to write a screenplay about “the more beautiful world” he’s envisioning...excited to see what he comes up with!
  2. @Space I feel similarly about Charles Eisenstein. He's a bit more of a Green/Yellow thinker, so he often writes and speaks more from the heart, but I often wonder/ponder what his reality would be like with a few more blasts of mystical awakenings under his belt. Perhaps both him and Daniel, and others like them, will get there in the coming years. Can't wait to see how they evolve, and how (hopefully) humanity and myself evolves with them
  3. I've gone deep down the Daniel rabbit hole at times, and I agree with many of the comments above: he's an intellectual genius for sure, but it's so painfully clear how this worldview is also limited and often times can feel empty and lacking. It's equivalent to someone in Stage Orange making a billion dollars and realizing, "Oh shit, I'm still not happy." Listening to Daniel is like the Yellow equivalent, "Oh wow, I understand maps and concepts better than 99% of people, but I still feel empty." At least that's how I've felt at times listening to these guys, including Rebel Wisdom and The Stoa (both of which are great for what they are btw). In comparison listening to a Turquoise thinker like Osho or the Dalai Lama, there's a depth and energy being transmitted both in the words but also in the silence, which Yellow thinkers like Daniel haven't yet mastered. They're two different frequencies - one is mainly activating my mind and the other is striking a deeper, more heart-centered place. Ultimately I flow between the two, as I find both super stimulating and nourishing in their own ways.
  4. I would ask God what the one question is I should ask God.
  5. https://integrallife.com has a community forum type of thing. https://futurethinkers.org/ has a Mighty Networks page that's small but strong. Game B Facebook group
  6. Alcoholics Anonymous and the 12 Step Program is a great example of a healthy Stage Blue program that has helped millions. Not all people in AA (or other 12 Step programs) are centered at Stage Blue, but the program itself has a very healthy Blue structure.
  7. @Natasha That’s great to hear! Sorry for assuming otherwise. Perhaps I read into your initial comments more than I should have. It seems your actual approach was more holistic than your original posts might have implied m. Regardless, glad that whatever you did worked!
  8. @Calmness @Natasha Natasha, my experience of your perspective is that you're holding onto a Green grudge which is rejecting Orange to a dogmatic level (what Calmness claims is Blue shadow). An integral approach would transcend AND include Orange, incorporating the best of both worlds while recognizing the limitations of both. When one advocates solely and fervently for just holistic or just conventional, it raises major red flags in me. Another flag is the underlying tone that the mainstream medical system and schooling is the way it is because of rampant corruption and economic interests, almost to a conspiratorial level. Sure, that case can be made, but the deeper more fundamental reason is because the people operating these schools and hospitals are at stage Orange so of course what they teach and practice will also be at stage Orange. As more and more people move into Green, the Orange systems will begin to adapt and evolve. This evolution will happen both by people like yourself bucking the system and creating a new paradigm as well as people like my friend Mary who are taking Green practices and incorporating them into her Orange medical training. Both fighting the system and working within the system are equally important and valid, IMO. Thank you for exploring new ways of approaching health and congratulations on being cancer-free!!
  9. @outlandish Look forward to watching. Would you consider his work stage Yellow thinking?
  10. Ask yourself what advice or wisdom you’d give yourself if you were 90 years old and on your death bed. What would you want your current self to do/be in X situation? This technique helps bypass the logical thinking mind and taps into our higher self or soul.
  11. That looks fucking incredible. What a masterpiece of art and performance. The lighting is next level.
  12. Good interview with Zeynep Tufekci about viewing the pandemic from a systems thinking perspective. I’m also an Ezra Klein fan - I feel he’s one of the sharpest minds in media. I’d peg him at 25% Orange, 50% Green, 25% Yellow. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-ezra-klein-show/id1548604447?i=1000507425657
  13. Watch the Netflix documentary “I am not your guru” and decide for yourself. I think he’s an incredible force, and I know many people who have had their lives changed via his work. There will always be critics...
  14. Wow! Great ones. Haven't watched Mr. Robot but looks like a good show. Was reminded of this Eddie Vedder song from Into The Wild:
  15. Green perspective on Corona virus from Tamera Peace Project. https://www.tamera.org/article-corona-crisis-statement/#
  16. @Nivsch I see. Seems like the Green folks I know are definitely highly skeptical of the vaccine, often to the point of irrationality. That said, I'm in no rush to get the vaccine myself, but I presume I will have to at some point in order to travel, go to concerts, etc, at which point I'll likely comply presuming there's no widespread cases of adverse reactions.
  17. @DocWatts Which book did he mention Bernie Sanders in?
  18. @Nivsch To clarify, are you saying that supporting the vaccine means you're not an integral thinker? Confused by your last point.
  19. This is not a thread to spread conspiracy theories! This is about how we make meaning of the insights we get during psychedelic experiences. I don't know how to respond to my friend who just had an ayahuasca ceremony where the medicine apparently told her that both Ebola and COVID were "inside jobs." She worked on the front lines of Ebola in Sierra Leon and is a very intelligent person studying to be a doctor. She is not into conspiracy theories (nor am I), and she was shocked that this was one of the messages she received during the ceremony. Now she feels like she has this "knowing" that she can't let go of. Hearing her experience made me question everything I've ever learned during a psychedelic experience. How do we know when we're receiving a download of Truth vs our subconscious mind feeding us information that feeds into conspiracy theories? Perhaps Ebola and COVID were insides jobs, who the hell knows, but regardless how does one process this information in a healthy, mature and rational way while also respecting the psychedelic insights which might be beyond our rational understanding?
  20. Has anyone read “The Righteous Mind” by Jonathan Haidt? Was recommended to me recently. TedTalk is good - some overlaps with SD and integral theory.
  21. @Nivsch That's an interesting thesis. I've noticed myself giving deference to "mainstream" (Orange) society despite personally resonating more with Green/Yellow values as I fear the implications of societal collapse should conspiracy theory-esq narratives overtake the population. Qanon and the storming of the Capital in the U.S. was an example of the delicacy of the house of cards that we call society. Does this mean that I've "regressed" to Orange or just that I'm seeing the utility that Orange values have in an Orange society during times of societal unrest? How does one measure whether this is regression or simply seeing the meta chess pieces at play and choosing the next move wisely, erring on conservatism in the spirit of preserving sanity?
  22. @Thought Art Let me know what you think of it. I'm going to start by reading this book first: https://www.amazon.com/WEIRDest-People-World-Psychologically-Particularly/dp/0374173222
  23. @Matt23 Yeah good stuff. I remember listening to this back when it came out. Was helpful to refresh. Thanks!
  24. @wwhy Why so triggered by this? It's just stage Green vocabulary to break free of the Orange paranoia around psychedelics being classified as illegal "drugs." Re-incorporating indigenous stage Purple values like ancestral connections to "plant medicine" and embracing the "sacred feminine" are basic textbook examples of stage Green. While it's not generally how I talk about psychedelics, I do see the value in these terms and how they can serve those looking to break free of Orange and see the world from a new perspective.
  25. @aurum @Freakyboo Thanks! Great advice.
