I am the awareness, but who is taking action? Who is writing right now? There is no I because it is conceptual, but there is only doing. An activity, but who is doing that?

Thanks to @VeganAwake who sent me a video on "True Self vs Ego" it is a bit clearer to me what the difference is, however, doesn't true self imply that there is a self? With my self inquiry and a long conversation with @Leo Gura about the brain I came to the realization and direct experience that the true I is actually...nothing...pure awareness. Therefore, how can something without characteristics and features have desires? How can pure awareness have peace, love, passion, desires when it is just aware of those? Or am I holding myself back from just "being" which naturally comes with peace, love, passion, joy, desires (it just simply happens and you will know it with intuition) by asking too many questions?

So, me as god, I can have desires to create the dream that I want. But who's the I when the true I is just pure awareness? Thoughts aren't me, but sometimes I need thoughts to schedule my days if I wanted to, so therefore, the awareness is working with the true self?

Yes, I have and I have come to the conclusion that I am the awareness. That is the reason why I'm asking how emptiness can have any desires? who's writing right now? the true self or the ego? It can't be the awareness can it since it's just there and observing.

It makes totally sense because there is only now and the ego is just an illusion, it's a story, a concept and that is the the real me. The real me is the awareness and that's what confuses me. If I am just the awareness how can nothing have any desires? who's writing right now? the true self? I'm aware of the action, but who's doing the action? The awareness can't do any actions since it's just simply there...so then who is it? the ego? the true self? both?

So, it is nothing and everything at the same time, which then leads to your true self?

So, I should work WITH Winny? When we are talking about Winny, we are not talking about the ego right? but Winny as in the true self?

Thanks to Leo, I was able to get a glimpse of the real I. I'm still at the very beginning of the journey and so I was wondering if you should somehow find a balance between the real I and the ego? Since at the end, the ego is calling the final moves (still wondering who is controlling the ego...) The real I is just pure awareness, no attributes, it's just merely there, do you at some point merch the real I and the ego together so they can work together? Is that what non duality is implying? Thank you.

so, we need to be able to distinguish between the ego's desire and the real I desires to have a fulfilling life?

lol, it's amazing to start getting glimpses into the real I I have another question though. Since the real I is just pure awareness and doesn't have any features, this means that you are actually free to choose whatever life you want because you have always been whole. But can pure awareness make choices? If not then who is making the decisions?

Hey there guys, I'm a newbie and so I still need questions answered. Some days I'm convinced that I'm not me, but the pure awareness, which is nothing, but then there are other days like today, where I just think to myself yes, I'm the awareness, but I'm also my brain that processes every information that comes to me, like the 5 senses and thoughts as well. If I had no brain, I wouldn't be able to function and there would be no "I". Couldn't I be the combination of both? Both the awarness and the brain that governs everything I do? Thank you for taking your time to answer this

One day I grasp it and another day I don't. I can not say that I have a brain because it isn't in my direct experience, but on the other hand, if not a brain then what? Some people here said consciousness...I have no idea.
