Princess Arabia replied to kray's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God I've seen this before. Not sure if it's from the same article but something similar. I really don't have any strong opinions on it either way. I like to observe before forming strong opinions on stuff. However, I've heard on this forum where people have asked about their panic attacks during or after meditation. I've seen where people have had adverse effects from it. Saying I've seen where it has benefits, would be like saying water is good for you and has benefits but neglect to say that too much can also be harmful. So just giving the benefits of meditation is not really addressing the issue at hand. Saying to not meditate because it has shown to have negative effects, is also like saying don't drink water. So, approaching it from the mindset of "proceed with caution" and to inquire into the different types, why you're doing it and maybe how much you're doing is probably the best approach. Maybe the bad effects are there because, one is using thought to silence thought. If we really investigate what we really are in the sense that the egoic structure is just a thought anyway, it would be like suffocating yourself but not on the biological or physical sense, but on the mental level. It's all mental anyway so I could see how this could be possible. Observing the breath is not the same as just breathing. It's like the natural process of the body interfering with another process. Breathing is a natural process and the appearance of thoughts another. What are we using to observe the breath, thoughts. So, it's like thoughts trying to control thoughts. Sounds like a battle to me. You would have to really sink deep with this one because it's not obvious. If the body naturally goes into a meditative state on it's own then that's not the same as putting it there. It's the same as trying to Jumpstart a car. The car was dead and needed to be shocked back into it's normal state. Also, trying to shock someone that's dying back to life using those medical devices. So, meditation falls into this category by shocking the normal functions of the body that's already alive and kicking by stopping the natural process and attacking itself. Thoughts produce feelings and feelings produce emotions. If we're trying to force a feeling(serenity, peace etc) by observing thoughts, then that's like saying to the body I want you to feel this way but without the thought process which allows for that feeling. Observing thoughts in this respect, is like one thought battling the other for it's territory. That's my take and I'm not advocating for one to not meditate but to proceed with caution and to also choose the type of meditation that's more suited for the systems of the body/mind coherence. Afterall Sadhguru did suffer a brain aneurism. Just saying.

What you've described is what you're seeing on the outside. It's alive and is an activity. Hence my latest post. You are seeing the contents of your mind. Including yourself. Everything you're aware of NOW. There's no mind inside of you. The outside is mind in form.

Princess Arabia posted a topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God When I say you, i mean the individual person you think you are. Yeah, yeah. I know. Hear me out. Reality is Mind. Mind is something Consciousness is doing. Just as if you were dancing or walking. Consciousness is MINDING. All of Reality is an activity. It is NOT an activity of Mind; Mind is the activity itself - just as dancing is the activity itself. Dancing, as an activity, cannot do anything; it is being done. In this case, MIND, as an activity, cannot do anything, it is being done - by Consciousness which is a current in motion that is self aware. We call this energy. You, as the human, is being imagined by consciousness within this activity called Mind. Imagine you doing a dance and moving around and forming different moves. This is what form is. Imagine one of those moves being called the "human move" and this move, which is consciousness, is imagining that move to be a real person with thoughts, emotions, perceptions, feelings etcetc. This is all within the dance moves and all a part of this activity called Mind. They are all a part of the one dance, but within the dance, comes this move called the I. That's the illusion. There is no I standing alone. It is only one movement of activity which the I is a part of. This "I" isn't really doing anything, it is still just the activity called mind that consciousness is doing. It's like a dance move that thinks it's separate from the dance. That I is analogous to a dance move within the dance. That I is mind the activity being done by consciousness and within that activity, consciousness is imagining a person with it's own identity. It is all within the one activity and all one movement. Nothing else is happening and no mind is doing anything. What you see in Reality is an activity called Mind. All of it. Nothing excluded. All the same activity being done by consciousness and this activity is all form and everything else including you. This is not the mind of consciousness, It is an act of Consciousness called Mind. This is real, what you see is the activity happening, but the I is the illusion and is being imagined by consciousness to be an actual person that Is doing things on it's own. It's impossible for there to be a person doing anything. Why? How? You are consciousness, everything is consciousness. How can an activity separate itself and do something different than what it is. How can walking or a dancing become skiing or boating. A walk is a walk, and a dance is a dance. Same with Mind. Mind is the activity itself and cannot be separated. Where is this person at doing anything. It's all one activity called Mind, just as a walk is a walk and a run is a run. The person didn't turn itself illusory, it isn't being misled into thinking it's a person. No. There's nothing there to say "oops, I'm acting as a person when I'm not, so let me not act this way". Nooooo. It is a part of the activity called mind. The difference is that within this activity consciousness is imagining the person. The person isn't imagining itself. There's nothing that can be done about it, until the whole activity ends....in death....however that comes. That will be consciousness that stops doing that activity and mind no long is. Consciousness will always remain as it is eternal. Reality is really happening, what you see is all happening. It is an activity called Mind-ing. One activity. The illusion is the I that consciousness is imagining but it doesn't know it's not real, it thinks it's separate from the activity and got lost in it's imagination. Inspired by @A Fellow Lighter

Princess Arabia replied to Javfly33's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God The mind always comparing notes. Tcht, shame on you, don't you know we're all in our own world's and paying attention to someone's stats is like you peeping at the neighbors and gossiping to the other neighbors. Look, he's got more posts than you. No way, I'll have to work on my game. Hehe...just messing around.

Princess Arabia replied to Austin Actualizing's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events This sounds like a statement directed personally at someone. I didn't say you were attacking my character, but you were addressing me personally.

Princess Arabia replied to Austin Actualizing's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events This is why I don't get into political debates, along with the fact that I don't know enough of the inside workings to. Nothing in my comment mentioned anything about legitimacy or the lack thereof. All this stuff is a matter of subjectivity, and no one has the right to tell another that their grievances aren't legitimate. I said nothing of the sort and any implications that that's the case in solely coming from your ideas and analysis of what was said and not what was actually said.

Princess Arabia replied to Austin Actualizing's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events I personally know a few Trump supporters. They're all white men with issues and think the illegals are taking away from them. They're all personally struggling in their lives in every aspect and believe it's others that caused them to be in the position they're in. So it seems they're voting for him to solve their problems of which Trump couldn't care less about. They all say too, to excuse his devilry, that he's human and they don't necessarily agree with who he is personally, but they love his policies. They all seem angry at the world and are easily agitated. They're the average blue collar worker that thinks life is unfair and they should be doing better because this is America and they are white. That part is just me saying. I just listen and ignore. From my comment, you can see what the devil can cater to and what it uses to sell.

A general problem of mankind was covid, the flu, cancer, drunk driving, drug overdose and drug problems, fear, anxiety, depression, murder rape, genocide,,,,,,,,,,,,not anticipation of a loved one's betrayal. That falls under the anxiety category. There are plenty of people who never have to face that issue and never have. That's an anticipation problem, not a betrayal of trust problem. This can never be known and has to be dealt with when it occurs. No one can anticipate if and when they will be betrayed.

@Genius100xThis comment. I don't talk out my ass. It's experience after experience and studying the mind's behavior and becoming more aware and blah blah, where I speak from. I'm also aware that I created this debunking, and rebutting and your constant negutting. just because I expected it. That's what it means to be consciousness and that everyone is you pushed out and there's only one Universal mind. I was simply trying to suggest to you how you're doing the same. The consequences of me creating this scenario is minimal compared to you ending up in a relationship that betrays your trust. I'm out.
-
Sorry, I will leave you be if you can't differentiate between a generalized statement and an assumption about you, which you yourself said that you do. This conversation has proved my initial point. I will quote it to make myself clear before I exit.

Both cannot live in the same place. It's either you're excited about your future and creating it now, or you're stuck in the past and creating the future from that. Both are potential creations. If your mindset is we have to prepare for the worst, then you are creating the worst. This is not about positive thinking. The mind is also making that distinction. It's about how your beliefs are influencing what you experience. Preparing for the worst is a sure way of experiencing the worst because thats where your focus is, the worst.
-
So what. I've seen where people never betray their trust. Are you living your life based on what you've seen or are you excited about what's to come.
-
This is the only thing in your comment to me that is of any importance. The rest is just speculation of the mind and endless irrelevant bickering.
-
Go through your post word for word and see how many words are in the past tense. DO IT!! quote this comment with the answer.

You're not in dilemma, the mind that only sees past and future is. It created a problem that isn't there and now it wants a solution for the problem it created. It is a never-ending cycle that leads to suffering on different levels. If somebody leaves a comment on how to solve this invisible problem, it will debunk, rebut, and tell them how they're not making any sense. That's what it does. The problem of mistrust has been created before the relationship has even started based on past and probable future. I'm just trying to show and make you aware of how problems get created out of thin air. What does someone else's relationship past has to do with your present circumstances. Nothing. You are anticipating the future and also creating the future NOW. You have, with this inquiry, created mistrust in your coming relationships without even realizing it.
-
The solution is to recognize the mind's ability to create problems out of thin air and to not get sucked into it's status quo....unless you want to continue to suffer it's demise that is.
-
The mind is always trying to find something to do. These moments are a distraction from that. Instead of counting the wasted moments and adding them up to say how much time is wasted during tasks doing nothing, maybe say how much time is wasted doing things that distracted me from recognizing the self. Those tasks are more pointless than those precious moments.
