  1. It that a riddle. Obviously the map is not the territory. Except for in this case it is...and not...and neither. Got me disturbed as you. Hehe
  2. Ok, point taken. Not sure if my thread was even non-duality or not. When it comes to certain things, I don't categorize. Referring to one's true nature to me is not non-duality; but you did say you weren't referring to any particular post.
  3. Yes, I was brainwashed all these years to believe I am something that I'm not. So is mostly everyone else. I have come to realize that what I am I cannot perceive or know. I can only be.
  4. Wow, I can't believe it either. I'm not listening to the naysayers. It's the only thing I'm sure of.
  5. Understanding the whole can get to sustainable and effective doings on the part. If one doesn't understand from where they are taking action how can the results be of any lasting effects. If the goal is to set a stable and grounded foundation then that foundation and grounds has to come from something stable and grounded. I'm not sure if you're referring to my thread or not, I'm just assuming you are. One thing that's for sure, there are lots of depressed, anxious, suicidal, miserable, unhappy etcetc people around. I WONDER WHY?? We will blame it on this and that thing external but are those the real causes.
  6. Ok. I'm sorry but I'm not coming from a place of parroting. It's obvious I'm not the body, or better yet, not just the body. It doesn't matter what you say about yt and all that. It doesn't rock my boat. Yes I do have a body, so do you. The body goes through changes. I don't. Sorry, if I'm self realized/recognized. It won't change anything you say. This has to be recognized not taught. One can teach the process but it has to be directly recognized on one's own, so it's ok all you're saying, doesn't change a thing on my part.
  7. Ok, the form of separation that the mind conjured up. It's either separate or its not. That simple.
  8. No one is speaking about wrong or right. I'm saying there's no separation. You are not your experiences nor any object that appears. You are the one perceiving experiences and objects. That's what existence is. Please understand the you in this statement is referring to the real you, not the human you, not the body either. The changeless imperceivable you. Thats who you truly are. It's obvious.
  9. Who the hell will think the mother and the unborn baby is separate. There are no riddles to my statements. Saying something is different doesn't implies separation. Is the rotten part of the apple that's different from the nice part separate from the apple.
  10. Because I quoted you from the quote you quoted me on without you making a comment.
  11. You are a tongue. Does that sound about right. Probably not. Are you separate from your tongue.
  12. "The unborn child and the mother aren't separate". Those were my exact words verbatim. Read it again.
  13. These are word semantics. God is a consept. I'm speaking about who/what I truly am. Call it God if you like, I like the word God too. But it's not the real pointer. There is no source. It's all just appearing. Call it source if you like. There is no separation. There is no me to be separate from anything. It's all the same; being perceived by the one perceiver.
  14. Beingness is not the part of you that observes. Beingness is you, it is who you are. There is no part of you that observes. This pronoun "you", is the tricky part. You = beingness. The "you" (person, human) is who you think you are. Being perceives. You are not sensing anything and you are not perceiving anything, it only appears that way,
  15. There is nothing said in my post that will bring about any changes in what's appearing, will appear or will ever appear. The difference is the ultimate identification of what you believe yourself to be. If you truly understand this and recognize this, and embody this as a played character the changes within the character and the experiences the character experiences will change automatically on their own within the appearance of existence. You are only experiencing what you're experiencing because of what you identify as. Within the dream/illusion where things are ever changing, the way you experience the changeful existence will be different. It doesn't matter what appears, the experience of it varies from character to character. What I'm ultimately saying is the character is not who you are. Who you are is what's perceiving the character. They are not separate but it's still not who you are. Picture a pregnant mother. The unborn child and the mother aren't separate. Without the mother the fetus wouldn't exist, they are still one, but the mother is still not the unborn child. Without you experience would not exist, You exist prior to experience even the experience of a body/mind.
  16. I get that. What I'm pointing to is that who you truly are is none of that. Saying "the core of who we are", then believing you are something else is like saying the apple is different from it's core. You're saying the exact same thing I'm saying in my post, it just seems you're identifying with the experiences and the changing thinking they are also you.
  17. Agreed. Never said otherwise.
  18. Depends on what you consider to be "you". If you think you are the human body, then there's no difference. If you are the awareness of the body, the one that is aware of the body, then the difference is the changeless and the changeful.
  19. You said it right here. Experience. Experiences comes and goes, doesn't it. Are all experiences the same, no. What I'm saying is all experiences are on borrowed time, they cannot exist without you, like you said but they are forever changing. ARE YOU??????
  20. It's not a doing, it's a being. The body is doing, you are being.
  21. These debates can go on forever. When it comes to survival, we all have different motives and agendas. What we identify as becomes something one is surviving. A male turned female in appearance will try to survive the male identity and vice versa. It's not about what we think is needed but what are we surviving as. There are also some who identify as neither and still has to keep that "no identity" identity alive. So, to answer the OP's question, no, gender isn't needed because it's already the case; the survival of what we identify as is what's needed for that entity to stay alive or it dies. Who wants death. We are not surviving a body, but every single identity we ascribe to ourselves. The body survives and dies on it's own. Identities depends on you to live.
