You should probably ask people who started a family and have a long and rewarding marriage. I'm getting married, and to be honest you have to be really honest with yourself. Marriage isn't a means to an end. Half of all marriages end in divorce. As a spiritual person, it's about being honest and balancing the love and wonder of life with wisdom and inner stillness. My marriage could end in divorce one day, it could technically. We live in the unknown and anything can happen. Starting a family isn't going to somehow make you safe nor an accomplished / valuable person. You are valuable as you are no matter what. I think marriage should be about being the most authentic person you can be and spending time with a person who wants to be authentic and live life to the fullest. Marriage isn't about defining you or earning some sort of status, but many people make it about this and sacrifice something. There are also logistical benefits for it and having a girlfriend in general is nice for companionship and relating, if you enjoy relating. So what that means is you have to be doing all this with yourself before any relationship with anyone begins. How is your relationship with yourself? Do you believe you are valuable as you are? Are you playing games and steeped in judgement? Are you walking a path that is authentic for you?

This is what I'm thinking may happen, the entire party (Republicans) are going to try to cancel elections for president.

It's not really a mystery why. It's well understood and to be honest I think we have passed the "trying to be understanding" phase. That was in 2016 when Trump won and everybody was surprised, and books like Hillbilly Elegy came out written but the current Veeptard. The country is going in the direction every academic has said and it's going to likely continue to go in the direction they are saying which is further erosion of government, corruption, wealth inequality, political instability and a lessening of human rights / liberties. We are in a sort of hybrid civil war now. It's a matter of fighting back now. -

Read the book “nonviolent communication.” Or check out the YouTube channel “Wu Wei Wisodm.” Both are very helpful spiritual based resources for living through challenges. Remember that all of Trump’s actions basically culminate in his own belief system about being inadequate in the eyes of his father and family. And with that belief he can tap into other’s fears because they hold similar beliefs of inadequacy and being in danger. This play by the super rich is their belief system of being afraid of being in danger or overthrown or losing some sort of power. That’s why they go after leftist mayor candidates in NYC like they want to kill it in the crib. Equality is deeply threatening to them because they believe they need power and control to be safe. -

I see things in the same way often. I think you have to keep a bigger perspective. What you said is accurate, at the same time see the bigger picture and don’t disconnect from within. This too shall pass. I think things won’t get much better until consequences are felt from electing these people. The entire population has to wisen up and mature and that can indeed happen but it takes time after learning some hard lessons. Elections have consequences. We may have to sit with this for many years to come. -
So why don’t we rename this thread to include the big beautiful bill discussion because that is pretty awful news and it seems no one has mustered the will to make a thread on it yet

Just keep in mind whenever these worst case scenarios don’t happen you never own up to it and say how you were wrong and they didn’t come to pass. I don’t see any benefit in ever taking a viewpoint where you focus in on the challenges in life, see life as inadequate because of then and black pill yourself. This is not truthful and not nurturing your connection to the bigger perspective. The expanded perspective of god. Do not forget this. This is a spiritual forum. Our ancestors went through some tough times and so will we. We will try our best and deal with whatever unfolds. Being safe was always a fallacy and there isn’t some utopia of humanity that exists, where there is some end goal or standard to pass for humanity where now it’s “all fine.” Some of us will face challenges worse than others but let it unfold and trust you will navigate it the best you can. There will l always be challenges, change and transformation. This is where liberals disconnect themselves. They think their ideals and aspirations should be reality (they aren’t) and they disconnect themselves from what is by fixating on ideas that aren’t reality. Liberals do not live in reality when they do this. Don’t think because you want something or believe things should be a certain alway that therefore somehow means that want is now reality, it isn’t.

I had family that died in nazi concentration camps… I believe I’ll cope and survive this. Not saying it will be easy but I’ll try to accept what is the best I can.

This is the guy who claimed to be natural and some people bought it. The guy literally looks like a WWE wrestler or cgi marvel character.

I think life is just what it is. Who am I to say what it needs? Now I have my preferences and my thoughts, I think we should move towards governments that are less corrupt, more honest, prioritize values such as fairness, equality and transparency. But who knows if that will come to pass? The world just is and we can do the best we can moment to moment, for our own personal lives. Keep in mind we are still really blessed to have democracies where the average person at least has some say, for better or worse. We can engage in politics at least once every couple years or so. Let’s just be open to how it unfolds. It may get better, or may get worse.

Queue all the people comfortable living under a fascist government and trading their democracy because they are angry these people aren’t in a closet anymore

That’s the spiritual lesson in politics I think. We have to come to terms with what is real and how things are in the present moment. I’m not saying don’t dream big, go for it. Strive for it. Set world changing intentions. Do everything you can to the best you can, but be careful if you don’t meet your own expectations. Largely speaking left wing political ideals are just aspirations. Holding onto an aspiration, how you wish reality to be, shouldn’t be confused with reality itself. The left sees that their expectations and aspirations aren’t reality and they use that as an excuse to create bitterness and not accept reality. That’s fine, not like that’s a “sin” or anything. But when you don’t accept reality, deny reality, you are not being honest with what is and therefore not living in truth. It’s a subtle line because some people claim their aspirations are what drives change.

Israel has killed easily 1-200,000 Palestinians in Gaza since this war started in 2023. 90% of Gaza is ruble and there is starvation now. This is definitely a genocide. USA is definitely guilty as well for supporting this. I see both countries paying for this over time karma wise with them decaying themselves slowly and their citizens facing authoritarian regimes.

World War 1 and 2 were fought by alliances formed by many countries where there were multiple theaters of war spread across large land masses with hundreds of thousands of troops. We are unlikely to ever see that again. Technology, supply chains and just the way the world works now is very unlikely to produce what we saw in WW1 and 2 where you had these combined arms battles in the land, sea and air with hundreds of thousands of troops. Conflicts today will be these stalemates where some airplanes, drones and rockets will be doing most of the work and key geographic interests and end goals for the wars will be much more nuanced and specific rather than just toppling a country / state. They say that will happen in Taiwan but I just don’t think it will. Look up the geography of Taiwan and how it’s basically a fortress. It would plunge China into a similar situation Russia is in. China has more checks as well on stuff like that compared to Russia. It could happen but I don’t see it unfolding in a predictable way. I think we ar living through an aged of renewed military conflict and Cold War but I don’t see some giant world war breaking out thank god. But what we have now is still very difficult and will lead to huge drop in standard of living and life if it continues. A country getting careless with its missles and nukes could happen though. That is probably the most scary thing that could happen, something like a nuke being used. Exactly what people feared during the Cold War, like I said, we are definitely in a brand new Cold War without a doubt, but I think the first one was much more dangerous and on a razors edge if you read into the history about it.

This is how I see it. I don’t see a world war. Clashes between nuclear powers? Unlikely, maybe India and Pakistan? Nato / Russia? I mean maybe? But how? Russia doing a full scale invasion of Europe? Seriously doubt it. Who knows?

This. It’s the #1 trap and progressives keep falling into it. Do not engage with debating close minded people and definitely do not try to argue why this is better vs capitalism. People are far too stupid and uneducated to ever think this through and realize much of their problems stem from rigid gridlock and unchecked / unregulated capitalism. What we have to do is create a vibe and create a narrative. Bernie gets it. His vibe is creating class divide, it’s stirring up emotions over unfairness and it’s championing values for universal healthcare and human rights. This is where we make a difference and make a miracle. Do not get bogged down trying to engage with liars and bad faith world actors and world views. It’s all fear based garbage and it’s all there to muddy the playing field. It has to be all about the vibes, repeating, campaigning, marketing. Americans need to be drowned in progressive values that they relate to like jobs, healthcare and really rally against the unfairnesses, expose the deceptions of the right by simply pointing towards what is right. Democrats do not do this. They are awful at campaigning. They try to be centrists and play by the rules and never make a statement. -
Really cool stuff man. Congrats on all the hard work. I’m still honing in on my life purpose. I love to make videos and I would say my life purpose is to live a creative life, inspiring people to travel and telling interesting stories about different cultures and growing through traveling.

Trump is mad about his cease fire. Israel dropped some more bombs then Trump dropped the f-bomb on camera…

You can’t protect yourself from this because there is nothing to be safe from. People will always criticize you and withhold their approval. Same happens to me, same happens to everyone. To seek safety is itself a misnomer because it’s like trying to plug one of those boats up that is sinking, you plug one hole but water just finds its way in through another. This does not mean you have to be a push over or participate in relationships you believe do not help you or are not rewarding. This you can control. You can tell people off in a balanced way how you don’t want to see them or don’t want to relate to them if they throw criticism towards you. You can discuss things with them if they are open to it and they may or may not change. But you can’t control them and in a sense their words can’t touch you. You want to be safe from emotions you generate yourself based of perspectives that aren’t even yours. It doesn’t make sense when you inquire on it. There’s nothing to protect. You’re valuable as you are and their words don’t change this one bit. You are unique and special as you are. You have the right to be you. What they think of you is none of your concern because it’s something that you can’t control nor is worth putting energy into. The larger life lesson here is realizing you can’t control other people and that there are other people out there who will talk shit. You can’t be safe from this because there is nothing to protect or be safe from and it’s not something you can control, it’s just their bullshit perspective that isn’t even true. Do you value truth? It’s just their thoughts which can’t hurt you and you are free to not put energy into relationships with these people. When you no longer put energy into the haters, and value yourself, the law of attraction will bring into your life people who are more aligned and situations that are more aligned with you.

Pimpin hoes ain’t easy. It requires a certain amount of energy and time from the day. Some people would prefer to meditate than maintain relationships. From a certain perspective it’s fine. You don’t need a relationship to complete you. At the same time, if you are being responsible for what you value, I’d imagine that would include some sex and relationships since those are nice things which are a part of life. So honor that. It doesn’t make you less spiritual and trying to imitate people you label as sages and mystics comes with its own problems as well. If it’s authentic for you to have sex, have it. Do so consciously. That’s all. -
I think Iran will still get a nuke somehow, probably through their own technology.

This is why asking Ukraine for make a deal is bullshit. Russia will keep going in until the cost of it outweighs the benefit, which is only done by arming Ukraine so it’s not worth it for Russia to go in.
