People always go to the worst case scenarios. It’s a component of that human side which I call the inner child, many call it the ego here, subconscious mind, etc. it goes straight to worst case situations and makes oneself miserable but have you noticed it never owns up to this when it turns out to be wrong? Why aren’t we talking about the best case scenarios and all the good that could come from a reordering in the world? It looks so minor in hindsight but people were freaking out this much in 2016. They were saying Trump would contest the elections which he did in 2020 and they said he would try a half assed coup, which he did and failed and we got a dem president that faced a lot of gridlock, but Trump is facing that as well. USA democracy by design is very hard for one guy to take over. You will see lots of unprecedented in democratic things happening and I wouldn’t be surprised if this leads to some big changes, maybe a revolution and all the scary stuff constantly brought up here, it’s a possibility but also a lot of other things are possibilities as well. We survived Trump 1 and this country will survive Trump 2 and I would bet my money there will be elections held in 2028 and a very strong democratic resistance and opposition built up to face whatever republicans conjure up next elections. We will need to vote for people who will get wealth back to the middle class and reign in the corruption.

I want to become a life couch and spiritual healer. I believe I am developed enough for this but I need to actually do the leg work.

My life has been affected by the shifting sands of politics. I can’t just blame it all on one person even though that would be convenient. Things are more expensive where I want to live in the USA and there are housing shortages, also changes in job markets which is somewhat due to politics. It’s not all a Republican thing, the entire political system included even decisions made by other countries has affected me. I think the main reasons to get out of the USA is how expensive it has gotten, you don’t get the same bang for your buck there. Also socially many people have become weird and reclusive, gun violence as well. It’s difficult to make friends in the USA compared to other places. It’s also incredibly competitive to date as a straight man. Weird culture shifts as well as economics have changed dynamics there in a way which makes it hard to date for men and in addition there is simply a lack of feminine and beautiful women as well there. So it’s better to go somewhere where it’s safe, affordable and lots of beautiful women. And I say that not as an excuse to be a creep and go somewhere to corrupt yourself with chasing foreign women. Go somewhere that’s amazing for culture, stability and beauty and where you can build a family.

It’s personal. I do love Brazil too but I also see there are massive problems here. I wouldn’t say it’s heaven for many people especially if you live in the favelas and earn reis. But there’s a ton of amazing culture here and it’s a good place to get inspired by nature, lots of adventures to be had here too. I find it much more inspiring than the USA but also I miss the safety and how clean much of the USA is, also service is much better and work situation is better. I wouldn’t move back though.

Where in Brazil are you? What state? What city? I’m in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro and I do agree this country has problems. It has a lot of crime, it’s dirty and there is a lack of education, but you also take for granted some amazing things about this place which the USA doesn’t have.

The pendulum will swing back left, even if it’s as an opposition party to a dictator. Keep in mind 15 million more people voted for Biden than Harris. She just wasn’t a good candidate, her campaign wasn’t good. Trump ran a very strong fear based campaign. Dems need a hero.

Upon reflection Musk is such a petty fool. Brainwashed himself badly. He could have stayed above all of this and actually did something good but he just couldn’t stand being mocked on the internet and had to go down the pipeline. I would not categorize Zuck or Bezos along with Trump or Musk. Of course the epistemic problems of corruption, capitalism and our collective society still have the shadow of Zuck and Bezos in them, I would consider them to value knowledge and innovation. Musk was somewhat in this camp until he made himself a celebrity through social media and rotted his brain. Trump was never an innovator or particularly smart. He had a large inheritance and grew his wealth through loans and real estate and also burned a ton of his wealth and went bankrupt many times as well. That’s not really comparable to basically creating social media or creating online shopping.

I don’t think Zuckerberg is entirely corrupted. Don’t get me wrong there’s many things I think he did were dishonest and he was quite immature when Facebook came out and he has been consistently irresponsible with how he handles his platform but he doesn’t strike me as entirely corrupted, he greatly values knowledgeable and education. Trump is in an entirely different class than the tech oligarchs.

One comment is right. Leo’s just saying what’s been said in the Tao Te Ching. In fact many of the things he has said on reality is said there poetically and with far more brevity but most people won’t ever read this text and if they do they usually won’t understand it much unless they set the intention to understand it. Only one comment seems to understand what’s being said.

Why is Trump even keeping Elon around? Just seems really unprecedented to have a really rich donor who hasn’t even been assigned to the cabinet sticking around the president constantly. Just bizarre.

Can someone screenshot the comments??? I don’t have a twitter and don’t wanna make one to read the comments.

Idk what people expect 🤷♂️ people make mistakes. They put these people on pedestals. Everyone has made some mistakes. I looked through what he did and it really doesn’t sound like some massive thing assuming the truth is somewhere in the middle between what he’s accused of and what he says happened. I’m all for canceling careers if they did something heinous but some domestic disputes, ok?

I trust Leo wouldn’t let being platformed by Joe corrupt him. I can only imagine how Joe will focus on the metaphysical woo woo stuff that’s interesting to ponder while entirely ignominy the practical epistemic implications for it in our lives and how we feed into lies and division.

This section and forum in general swings a bit to extremes. I mean I do think people saying protesters will start getting shot is a bit over exaggerated. I’m not saying we shouldn’t ignore things. Can really backslide here. And if we were more mature as a society we would recognize this can get ugly, but I also think dems would connect with people more if they kept it a bit practical and really went after Trump where it matters, healthcare, housing, cost of living. Bernie has got really solid messaging but little backing.

All possibilities. At the same time there are some checks like our constitution and elections. There’s plenty to fight back with. Not trying to downplay the situation but I also don’t want to be so fear based. Got to find some balance in the face of adversity.

Keep in mind we had a Trump presidency before and he was defeated. I know the pure lie the right likes to live by about the election being stolen. But he was beaten in an election in 2020 and people were really sick of his shenanigans especially form his mishandling of COVID and all the racial tension. It can and will build up if he ends up tanking the stock market.

I don’t believe in spiritual advancement. There is just spirit and then whatever label or hierarchy model you impose on it. You can be some Hindu or Amazonian Shaman with all sorts of mystical experiences, walking the path and then drink cow piss to clear your chakras or sacrifice a human baby for the sun god. You can believe all sorts of superstitious beliefs and had all sorts of mystical experiences and still want to kill your neighbor. -

interesting read, I agree with much of what you wrote. -
Space in a woman’s life (or rather her body) is quite competitive. It’s like one of those decent online jobs. For every opening (pun partially intended) there are hundreds of applicants. Women will screen pretty heavily for a guy they believe is perfect for them (status, smart, strong). It’s not uncommon to see mating not take place out in the open either. Picking up women is so random and out of your control sometimes. Just seeing the effort itself is a major turn off for women and it really needs to just flow and be natural for her and/or you need to strike gold and be seen as a prize from your first impression. You gotta be upgrading your life in every single way as well as actively socializing and going on dates and most importantly dissolving every belief keeping you unaligned with your higher power.

I think you would be creating “suffering” just as much if not more if you didn’t align with truth. We can never know what wasn’t. Truth is freedom. I don’t see how denying truth somehow leads to one creating less suffering, maybe through choosing to live unconsciously or sheer denial can one avert their attention from their misalignments, Perhaps for some time but the weight eventually gives way. I also think the word suffering is a lofty word which really just means painful emotions. And since painful emotions always reasonably come from the beliefs one holds, it’s basically a choice to create this suffering or not, this is a bit of an oversimplification if one hasn’t done some of the leg work needed to become aware of one’s beliefs and how they are 100% in one’s will, and I say this compassionately if one here isn’t yet conscious of this and creating suffering for themselves. But I try to write here in plain and understandable English. So basically suffering is just a reminder to come back to oneness and live in the mystery and beauty. -
Brain rot like Graham Hancock's theories opens up the doors to all these weirdos hopping on board and shoveling more shit onto the deck. Because that space of intellectual ambiguity isn't really based in anything and especially doesn't prioritize integrity, and uses all sorts of twisty turny fallacies to fend off arguments against it, it makes for fertile ground for corrupted information and belief systems to plant their seed adjacent to it. This is why you see nazis like this flock to fringe stuff. They wouldn't even be able to gain a foothold in anything closer towards traditional academia or an editorial because of the cross referencing and self reflection that is common practice in these circles in order to be platformed. But these guys have social media now, which if you know how to hook people with any old piece of shit, you can have them consider your viewpoint even if it culminates in racial cleansing or stealing.

“Musk Donates to G.O.P. Members of Congress Who Support Impeaching Judges” NYTimes article Musk really trying to buy the federal government and shape it in his image.

We have plenty of solutions that feasibly would work. It’s not the problem. The problem is corruption, selfishness and lack of oneness awareness .

Most people want to have a justification for what they are doing and look for some reason to explain why what they are doing is valuable and important, so they focus in on the painful emotions they are creating for themselves and dress it up in lofty ways by calling it suffering. -
That’s precisely what our voting system does due to its current design. The core design of it needs to be rearranged to something more democratic but that would mean some people giving up power.
