  1. Hello all, I am halfway through the book Psycho cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz and I have started applying the "mental movie" visualization he prescribed at the end of chapter 3. He recommends using 10 days to "massage" the movie followed by 11 days of the repetition of the movie in mind without any change. The theme of my movie is independence/self-reliance and during the movie I visualize myself in different but related situations where I am living on my own and by myself somewhere in the countryside. I have a few questions on this and I hope someone would be able to provide me with insight: 1. What am I supposed to do after 21 days? Should I continue with the same movie until it or something similar materializes or can I start "directing" a new movie with a new theme? 2. This is not the first time I gave visualization a try. I remember wasting 2-3 hours visualizing during my teenage years but none of the situations I imagined did ever materialize. How is the mental movie recommended by Maltz any different from fantasies if both incorporate visualization and why is it that most of the time the latter does not take shape? 3. If ever I become independent like in the movie I would also like to be mentally strong and free from anxiety so that I can adapt in the new situation. In case I am supposed to continue the same movie until the goal is realized before moving to another movie, can I apply other techniques like affirmation to gain confidence, become mentally strong and free from anxiety or do you recommend that I incorporate all that in my current movie? Thanks in advance
