  1. There is a sense of self but there is no self. That's how you can even reference to "it" and deny it's existence.. If it was completely absent we wouldn't need a 7000 years nondual tradtions to teach us such obvious fact.
  2. There is actually such a reference point which is ME. That might be true objectively or from the point of view of the universe itself but not true from the point of view of a sense of self.
  3. So just being aware of the pain it's gonna disappear??? Sorry no it doesn't work like that. Not at all.
  4. @Nahm alright I will listen to your advice. Maybe I'm being too argumentative. But I just honestly didn't see a satisfying answer that actually makes sense. So that's why I'm disagreeing.. Because I'm actually disagreeing. So far everyone are just trying to make suffering just a misperception.. Something that my mind is doing.. And I'm clearly seeing that's not the case. It's just not. Your question "what is suffering"? "what it is"? . I'm not sure why should that be a tricky question... It is just a feeling!, a feeling that is being perceived directly and is unpleasant regardless of the thoughts attached to it.. In fact it is the feeling that triggers the thoughts. Anyways didn't expect getting satisfying answers. Appreciate all the feedback tho.
  5. Afraid? I never said I'm afraid of anything lol. I just stated a fact.. You said there's nothing but happiness and suffering doesn't exist. Anyone with half a brain can see the absurdity of this statement. Alright how exactly is that supposed to feed a starving kid? Oh you are a human "too"? So what else you thought you were? Talking about what is available to you via direct experience.
  6. The illusion of the self is the reality. There is a sense of self that's vague and upon closer Investigation it is revealed to be a mirage... But as soon as the inquiry ends the illusion comes back and becomes the reality again. If you say as long as there is a sense of self there will be suffering? Let it be then.. There will always be suffering because you can't get rid of the identification with the separate mind - body self completely and somehow remain alive and functional.
  7. False. 100% false and fantasies. 100% goes against direct experience and the actual reality of the world. P.S coming from someone who complains about his job and his relationships all the time.. Seems like hypocrisy.
  8. Exactly lol. I actually tried what Leo suggested and man.. It failed miserably. All I did was just touching a freshly made boiled egg with my hand.. I just hold it for few seconds and holy shit this is sooo painful.. I tried to pretend that the sensation is neutral and there is nothing "bad" about it .. But no way.. It didn't work.. Not even 1%.
  9. @traveler so nothing is happening? Pain is not real? you feel as it what then? @zeroISinfinity
  10. OK. I bet if I asked you about the global warming problem or your opinion about Donald trump or the Corona virus or who is your favorite pornstar.. You gonna say the same kinda nondual mantras
  11. Yeah but that's the exception not the rule. Those monks if they are even for real are like what? 1% of the human race? These abilities are certainly not available for the vast majority of people. So you can't build your soultion based on the rare exception( assuming that these paranormal abilities are actually legit).
  12. The problem is not all suffering is mental (emotional or psychological). There is physical suffering and that's more fundamental and it is what triggers psychological suffering. If I'm having an extreme stomach ache for example.. What does doing anything regarding "thoughts.. Mind.. Ego.. Identification" gonna help In this case?
  13. Nothing.. It just sucks. Yeah I guess there is a lot of Cases like this.. And do you know why those people are even more peaceful than healthy people? Because it's so out of their control that they just surrender because there is no other alternative. This doesn't mean that they actually deep down "enjoy" their suffering or they want it to persist.. That would be naive to say.. They just accepted their suffering because they see there is no point in fighting anyways.
  14. Go touch a fire flame with your hands and just "decide" that that's not painful.. And see how that goes.....
  15. This is far away from being actualized in our lifetime.
  16. Painful sensations in the body.. Isn't that obvious? I'm not sure what do you mean by "does it need". I know I want it to end and I assume everyone else want that as well. Yes me. And I assume all other sentient creatures don't like it as well. Not necessarily. It just makes the world a shitty place depending on how much suffering you experience regularly. nothing happens. If I stop caring about suffering I'm gonna still experience it!
  17. I swear by all the gods in the world.. There is no one identified or misidentified with anything.
  18. Not true. Because there is already no one here to suffer but still there is suffering.
  19. @Nahm Suffering has nothing to do with ego or identity or thoughts. Suffering (pain precisely) is a feeling not a thought. And I know you will say "no it's a thought".. Yes because as I told you before.. Feelings are thoughts and thoughts are feelings.
  20. Don't worry lol... I'm not gonna get contact with the fire directly. Maybe I will touch something hot with my fingertip to feel a little painful sensation and try to actually accept it as It is without spraying concepts and judgments on top of it and will see how does that make the experience different.
  21. Will do it lol. Maybe I will burn my finger or something and try to focus on the sensation as just being.. Or meaningless perception and will see.. Maybe I'm about to discover something huge.
  22. It says HERE through ME. Tada! Lol Actually yeah.. I have a theory.. Since everything Is relative.. The only absolute is whatever I am experiencing at the moment. Which is the relative. Because the relative IS the absolute and the rest of the story ya know lol.. It is a way to intellectualize your way out of the suffering.. But I wonder if it's REALLY gonna work!
  23. Have you actually done this process and no longer are affected by external unpleasant data?
