Because you've got a crazy drunk monkey in your mind that won't shut up and let you realize this. -
Someone here replied to Schahin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Schahin look.. No one knows this stuff you are asking. The idea of hell came from religions and it's actually a metaphor to represent the state of being ignorant of your true nature. NOTICE hell is just an idea in your mind.. If you explore it there is no such thing as hell.. It was always an idea about hell. This infinity argument is bullshit. It's not mathematical infinity. Because I can say "yeah God will experience infinite heaven forever that won't end and is bigger than absolute infinity".. Go ahead now solve this with the coexistence of infinite hell as well.. Can't you see it has nothing to do with mathematics and probabilities?? It becomes a contradiction and logic collapses and nothing can be said with certainty. Stop thinking about it logically. Look at your hand. That's real. Think about "hell" "infinity"...that's NOT REAL. -

This is the truth. The only reason you can't see it is because it's fucking everywhere. Same reason why people are searching for mystical experiences and can't realize the mystical experience that's happening right fucking now. -

The problem is everything you think is "worth it" turns out to be not worth it at the end. So maybe try something that seems like not worth it. the whole idea of "worth it".. "what can I get out of this" is the opposite essence of meditation. It's completely pointless.. You basically sit down and do absolutely nothing...it's not worth it and that's exactly why you need to do it.. Stop trying to go somewhere or to get something.. There is nowhere to go and nothing to get. -

I mean you're not wrong lol But then also... -
Someone here replied to Knowledge's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Isn't that itself something that you are imagining? "the forest exists when I'm not aware of it" = imagination and concepts... "the forest does not exist if I'm not aware of it" =also concepts and imagination. In actuality there is no actuality to both statements.. Right? So both of them are relative.. Partial.. And don't contain the whole truth???.? -
Someone here replied to BipolarGrowth's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I agree with all that. Except maybe the last statement. I remain skeptical about death because I simply have no idea what happens after death.. The very idea that I'm gonna die someday is just a belief lol.... So to connect back to sleep and consciousness.. I'm consciousness.. That is my identity.. That is what I am.. Because I'm not any object of experience.. You could say I'm experience itself.. All that is fine.. Now this body gets tired.. It goes to bed.. Eyes closed.. Then something happens.. Phrase it however you want.. But what happens is all the content that I know of reality simply disappears.. All without exception.. Untill nothing is left.. these are not beliefs.. I'm describing sleep that we all experience for a period of time equals half of our lifetime!,!! Now that we agree I'm consciousness.. In deep sleep there is no consciousness. And there is no me as a carrier of consciousness or as consciousness itself.... If that's not true please explain to me how is that not true without using "deep sleep is a concept" or "you can't experience no experience"... I understand these two arguments and they are not quite convincing because what happens every night Is I simply disappear along with everything else. Thanks. -

Name one thing that makes sense! Also try to make a very sharp distinction between what is actual and what is concepts from your mind... The raw data is actual.. "others are aware" is a concept... But notice.. "only me is aware and others are just my hallucination" is also a concept.. Actuality doesn't tell you anything about it. Stick with the raw data and get out of your head and the whole question will disappear. -

Only proplem is you Can't possibly know that. -

@Nahm where do beliefs come from? For example if you ask 99% of people do you believe you go to sleep and wake up they will tell you yes. If you ask 99 % of people do you believe the sun exists they will tell you yes. If you ask 99% of people do you believe Zeus exist they will tell you NO. What's the difference? A belief is a statement about reality. It could be false or true. Depending on how much accurate it is describing the world. No statement is 100% accurate ofcourse but some are more accurate than others. If you are denying all beliefs.. All language all logic.. Then what are you talking about even lol?? How can we communicate? What makes anything true or false? I don't want to die btw -

Go into details. Describe the process. How does resting happen? How do you know when you are having insomnia? What are you begging for when you haven't slept last night and have to wake up early? That's a problem for language and not for reality itself. Reality doesn't care about the errors in our mind's pathetic software "oh non existence does not exist because it's linguistically a contradiction". We all have an idea what deep sleep is.. Ofcourse the idea itself is not the actuality of but we all been asleep before.. So the question is not present. If you are a normal human being who goes to sleep every night and not some weird caffeine alien you shouldn't have a single doubt about this question. But as I said.. The mind likes to over-complicate stuff. -

I mean anyone says there is no deep sleep or that there is no loss of awareness during sleep.. Please from now on don't go to bed anymore even when you are about to go nuts from being excessively conscious. @Javfly33 do you go to bed at night? May I ask you why? What's your intention behind this activity? -
Someone here replied to BipolarGrowth's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Nahm you could say there is something prior to sleep and awake that is witnessing the two.. I have no problem with that and maybe that's what spiritual folks mean by "consciousness". To be clear and save the confusion.. If what is meant by "consciousness" is sight. sound.. Smell.. Taste. Touch.. Thought.... The answer is big NO.. These things do not exist in deep sleep. What is left is a very special state.. Feel free to call it "pure consciousness" but we both know the same thing that we are referring to and how it feels (not feels) like. -
Someone here replied to BipolarGrowth's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The answer is so clear. The mind likes to over-complicate a Lot of things when they are so simple... In deep sleep there is no such thing as anything.. None.. Zero..all is gone.. No consciousness no self no other no existence no non-existence no nothingness no deep sleep even. It's so clear. You can mentally masturbate your way around this.. But I choose to go with obvious shit. -

@Dino D two questions.. Think about this.. 1 - are night-time dreams real or unreal? 2- if it turns out your whole life as you know was literally just a dream..does that mean your life NOW is unreal? .. Or is it still real? -

@zeroISinfinityt Tough times man.. But that's the natural consequence of hanging out too much with that guy ? -
What's the problem with discipline?? Short answer.. Because there is no one who can be disciplined or not disciplined. That's the root cause for all our failures to be disciplined in life. Who is being disciplined or lazy?? No one. If there is a center of your being "ego" who is the creator or source of thoughts and actions.. You won't have a single problem with being disciplined in life.. Why would you? If you are the source of everything you do and think.. There is no possibility of failing at losing weight or kicking any bad habit. But since it's not "you" who is creating your thoughts and actions.. The results are always random as random as these thoughts and actions.

How is that any different from any other religious story? Any actuality to any of that????? -
Someone here replied to actualizing25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It doesn't make sense. If an experience of pain is intensified to infinite degrees it will be no longer "pain". It will collapse and you won't feel anything. Just like when you get used to something you stop feeling it's presence after a while. That's why the idea of hell never made sense to me.. There is actually a "threshold of pain" in your brain. If the sensation is less or bigger than a certain range of electrical power.. You simply won't feel it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threshold_of_pain Also I don't buy the reasoning "because God is infinity he must experience everything".. But God is not a dumb mechanical deterministic mathematical formula. Think about it if you are all powerful would you use your power to torture yourself forever? That means you are all-dumb as well.. But as far as I know God is all-intelligent! -
I never was religious lol. I knew from the very beginning that all religions are different paths to inner wisdom and universal consciousness and the moment you take it as a dogma or a belief system you fundamentally misunderstand it.. Which is exactly what 99% of religious people are doing ?

This is actually a brilliant analogy P.S drop the cigs and the alcohol.. They are horrible for your health.. You can get such insights while sober as well. -
