My reputation here has always been that I'm neither a materialist nor idealist .I oscillate back and forth between the two. I keep changing my metaphysical worldview every other day like changing pair of clothes. I'm a metaphysical chameleon. Consciousness is fundamental but without a brain inside your skull you go wasted so let's not get absolutely insane here. At the same time this very thought is consciousness. Conscious of brain or brain of consciousness? That's the question.

How do you know ?

I have lots of proplems with my career and college .i think I will join the military soon after graduation before even getting a job or getting married. I need some tough time to make me stronger as a man.thats just what i believe. The military is not bad for us (men)..i think every man should join it..it will make us more masculine and tough and more able to stand for ourselves in this tough world. No wonder why guys nowadays are losers. ofcourse this is not nessciarly our faults as individuals but the whole luxurious society when a guy sits on his ass all day eating doretos and drinking fanta and jerking off to porn like a little bitch in his mom's basement ..this kind of guy can't deal with tough reality when shit hits the fan..can't take responsibility for himself..let alone taking responsibility for a family(wife and kids). I feel like I need to join the military to get the necessary shock of struggle so i can become more of mature and strong man . But at the same time I'm kinda pussying about it because I want to live freely not doing any restrict tough daily routine . So I'm not sure what's the right decision here .

OK I see . My point once again I can't conceive of the end of suffering as long as forms and limitations and lack and need exist In this world . If death is pure fucking eternal sleep then unfortunately that's the only way to escape suffering permanently. And unfortunately death is just like sleeping you take a pause to refresh and then start all over again =reincarnation. But buddhism actually teaches Nirvana or permanent nothingness if you conquer desire .

@Sugarcoat so what ? I stopped caring. I experience excruciating pain in my chest and lungs because of smoking intensely for 9 years . I Haven't done a check-up but im 100% certain that I have a cancer tumor. Yet ..I stil smoke everyday like a mofo .

@Sugarcoat I read recently that the number one reason for why intellectual atheists deny the existence of God is because of the problem of evil or the existence of suffering in other words .if God exists and God is a loving..kind ..Good.. and merciful being and he is capable of creating a heaven for everything and everyone then why do we exist in this hell hole called this world?! And I think it's a fair question. Leo says God is Good but goodness is not what suits your egos needs but goodness is pure fucking indifference. Idk .. Requires some cosmic awakening.

What most people don't understand about Buddha is he wasn't seeking enlightenment as in seeking truth .he was seeking freedom from suffering. As the story says he saw a dead man and an old man and a disabled man and it shocked him to his bones that these things are inevitable .so he went to the woods seeking salvation in meditation. Do you think he has achieved it ? No . He cowardly teached detachment and abandoning desire because he thought desire is the cause of suffering. But where is Buddha right now ? He is dead and there is not a single bone left from him . The all mighty GOAT of spirituality couldn't end suffering. You think you can or these people can?

Why is it even important what it's called ? I'm saying it has no name but that does not mean anything goes and you can call it cheesecake and that will be as truthful and accurate and representative as calling it reality . What is happening right now has no name. This is obvious as shit . However the word" consciousness "is more accurate than "a big hairy dick ". That's the beauty of it . Surrender or not doesn't matter..your so called soul will leave your so called body .when so called death comes and you feel the so called pain you are going to curse so called God and the day of your so called birth.

There ain't transcending pain as long as you live in this body made of bones and flesh which gets super hungry and thirsty and sleepy every 12 hours . When you die and (probably) play chess with God in his house called nothingness then there will be no pain. Buddhists call this nirvana . But you have to stop the reincarnation cycle by not giving a dam about anything under the sun aka detachment.

Consciousness is simply everything and anything. This is Consciousness. That is consciousness. You are consciousness. The brain is consciousness. Anything you think or possibly doubt in a million years that isn't consciousness IS fucking consciousness... Tada! And it can't be "defined" because there is nothing which is not consciousness to define consciousness in terms of it. That's why it's a mystery.
