Because Sufis are actually considered heretics and atheists by most of the Islamic scholars..islamic sects ..and even Muslim people. Mainstream Islam says the Quran is the final literal word of the exclusive one and only creator of this universe. there is no dancing around this core theological belief in Mainstream Islam. If you change a single word in that statement and replace it with Sufi fluff you are immediately an apostate and you gonna be killed in countries like Afghanistan for example ...not to mention eternal fire in the after life . Likewise for accepting all the moral commands in the quran like cutting the hands of theivs..stoning a woman to death if she had sex without marriage. Dude wake up .

I agree with this . I'm personally so sick of my family members being so lost in ego games and taking themselves and their story in life so seriously and turning it into drama and such a pain in the ass ..identical to drama they watch on TV series or Netflix shows and all that. I have the feeling that watching too much of that stuff made them think that life itself is like a movie or a series and that they ought to act like those characters. I love Turkish drama .just wow so dope man..as if you are watching one of Dostoevsky's novels Actualized. But the problem Is watching drama and movies make you relate to your own life as if its a movie and you will subconsciously try to imitate the actors. And so thats what most of my family members do .the opposite of what I'm doing . I tried at the past to move them out of fantasy into the "real world " but they are a lost case. I'm at the point nah let them live their fantasies. I'm good .

I'm not sure if the whole "intelligent vs dumb " thing is a human projection. What I know is it does appear intelligently designed. Like look at animals ..or even your body ..eyes see like a camera ..ears hear ..a digestive system etc. Or how planets orbit around the sun. Just the very fact that there are physical laws at all governing the universe and are knowable to us as humans and can be described with mathematics and allow us to predict the movements of planets and stars . Etc. Fascinating.

I understand your point better now. I see no problem with creating a purpose for one's life . What I disagree with is "You can't not create purpose " . That's not true . Do you realize that that's basically the whole point of meditation and enlightenment? To just sit there and free yourself and your mind from thoughts about future (and past as well)and detach yourself from this and just achieve a state of pure being ? Of just being present in the moment without feeling lack and without needing any carrot to run after ?

@saif2 There is no purpose. The question of purpose occurs after you're done with your day and fullfiling your needs and desires. After you eat and drink and marry and have children and entertain yourself and maybe learn about the universe and maybe achieving wealth or success or fame ....then what ? Nothing. You just go back to baseline. That's why people get addicted to heroin .and ironically that's why heroin addicts are some of the most miserable people in the world ..because they are like "then what ?". Old people look depressed and grumpy and low tempered for the same reason because they've seen it all and went through all the diverse range of experiences in this life and now it's time to say goodbye but again .."then what ?". Children don't have a purpose. They just play and enjoy the moment completely. And when They get tired they rest their heads on the pillow and fall asleep witin few minutes . Animals don't even know what the fuck you are talking about 😂 . Observe cats..what do cats do ? They just look for food ..reproduce and just sit there doing nothing. Do you think a cat asks itself what is the purpose of my life ? I think enlightened people are like children and cats regarding this .

@Oppositionless It has to do with the law of attraction .its a valid law. Its a fundamental law that runs this world we live in . You can notice it in your life.you literally tend to attract and manifest and actualize and materialise things that you think about the most . If you obsess over a particular thing you tend to really get it sooner or later . I was taking a walk earlier today and puzzled by some questions regarding spiritual topics and I kid you not this youtube channel just popped into my youtube main page and it had three videos which were exactly about the questions I was thinking about..it had me shocked: deep wisdom in these videos btw

I don't know who you are but obviously you still identify as a Muslim..I'm not saying this is a good or bad thing ..but why bother at all clarifying the widespread misunderstanding and demonisation of Islam if you've broken out of identification with a religion? I agree with everything you said btw. All religious scriptures are metaphorical because they talk to the mind .they use language and concepts so they can only speak metaphorically. There is this "prison planet " dude on youtube I've been following who's saying the common factor between all religions is to get out of this physical existence because that's the symbolism of hell vs heaven in islam ..and Samsara vs Nirvana in Buddhism. And alike in the Hindu religion moksha and Christian religion the paradise as well. He sounds like a kid who's having problems getting laid or something and he's now projecting this onto the world calling this life in this world a "prison planet ".

One of the reasons Suffering exists to nodge you to seek truth and inqure about deep things in life . If life was always easy and a road of roses you'd never seek anything deep.
