  1. @BenG very true. That’s a solid way to look at it. Yes, deconstructing science doesn’t mean the end to the materialistic paradigm.. but try to tell a loyal scientist that lol. Hell, even people who champion themselves as a spiritual are in denial how important the materialist way of living life is to critical to their survival. They’ll even deny that they have survival needs whilst engaging in survival.
  2. Well…perceptual filters are infinite. There’s no way to transcend perceptions. All perceptual filters, at their essence/core, are the same…which is the imaginations of God. The scientific/materialistic filter is structured in a way where it prevents you from seeing reality from any other filter because it claims it’s the only filter there is (similar to religious dogma). Science itself doesn’t do this, but the human ego does because it provides protection. Science cuts favors for humans, and humans cut favors for science in helping one another to survive. It’s almost like a codependent relationship.
  3. Does mass legalization and use of psychedelics need to happen to speed this process up? I feel like this is a foundational aspect to Leo’s work at this point. We have to consider how dense and inflexible the mind is for most materialist if we’re looking at this from a systems view.
  4. Not sure if I agree wholeheartedly with this. Science is what tells us we are humans in the first place. Im not doing that at all. Science is critical to human survival, but taking it as the absolute truth is where it gets sticky. Science = a perceptual filter.
  5. Wanting to bully a materialist is already bad. This is taking the teachings and turning it into dogma.
  6. You can also contemplate life sober, tends to be more scarier...which is why we seek drugs in the first place to soften the blow.
  7. @Leo Gura How is the Patreon branch of Actualized.org going? I'm an advocate of your channel, and thought signing up would be a great way to pay it forward for all the juicy insights, and to keep your momentum going. Has Actualized.org found any real benefit from Patreon subscribers?
  8. You should do whatever is best for your life situation. For some folks, handling finances/career prior to enlightenment is best...sometimes vice versa. Sometimes you are able to work on both at the same time, even infuse them together so they work synergistically (my path). This is not a nuanced perspective...one shoe size doesn't fit everyone. Be careful about giving simple minded advice.
  9. If you have some spare cash, the Actualized.org Life Purpose course is well worth purchasing. It helped me out a lot when I had similar questions. Now I am very clear on what my purpose is after taking the course.
  10. @Thought Art That’s awesome! I was a hardcore stoner for some time, as I got deeper into spirituality, I found no need to blaze 6-7 days out of the week. I thought pot and spirituality went hand in hand, and it does in a sense where it opens your mind…but it can turn into an addiction, and ultimately a blocker to personal and spiritual development.
  11. Love the digital art you shared. I respect your honesty. Fear is a natural result of dissolving the ego. Learn to label it as such, and know that it is illusory.
  12. God realization includes liberation from ego...specifically.
  13. Why are you expecting change in the behavior of humans with awakening? Sounds like Zen devilry. You should not be looking for humans to change, you should be looking at your judgements of them to change.
  14. Lol this entire moment is also imaginary.
  15. Contemplating this. Since I am God, I am here to serve myself. It sounds selfish, but once the ego is dissolved - serving the lower self transforms into serving the Higher Self. What does it mean to serve the Higher self? For me, it means making good use of one's life. The term "good" is relative of course, but you can think of it as your unique life purpose that's grounded in living a fulfilling life for you personally, but also being of service to entire cosmos and it's inhabitants (in your own special way). Since God is Existence, and you are God.. Serving God = serving Yourself = serving Existence
  16. Lol i am happy for you, this work allows you to be more authentic about your wants in life. As far as the question of God being bisexual, since God is formless..it can't be subjected to any language used to describe sexual preference or any other human attribute. Bi-sexuality is merely one expression of God, out of infinite expressions. God loves bisexuality, as well as every other sexual preference. It also is all expressions of sexuality, it is also You
  17. I sense some resentment in this question. When you awaken, you realize that no one is responsible for pain other than you. Even further, you learn to love pain just as much as anything else. Demonizing pain is not God-like.
  18. Gods love for you is synonymous to your love for yourself. Nothing is separate from you, looking for love outside of yourself will lead to suffering.
  19. Not necessarily. The ego can be satisfied, but it is finite satisfaction that usually has an expiration date to it. Awakening is allows finite satisfaction to turn into infinite satisfaction. Be appreciative of dualism, but also be able to tap into something higher through your spiritual work.
  20. Gossiping is definitely a low consciousness behavior. Sometimes it's unavoidable depending on who you are socializing with. The fact that you are skeptical of gossip is already a good thing, continue to follow your intuition.
  21. In other words, what does it mean to be God? For me, it’s being in this world..but not of this world. It’s the relief that comes with knowing that I am not body, my thoughts or my story. Being an empty void means I am immortal, nothing can harm me in this universe. It is also the painful, yet humorous and joyful, realization that the only reason I suffer in life is because I have taken personally, yet the person who takes life personally is not who I am. Being an empty void means you have purified your mind of illness caused by a misguided ego. Being an empty void is the ultimate freedom. It also leads to the highest understanding of reality, everything makes perfect sense from this place, the Kingdom of Heaven has but only one occupant..that occupant is Love, that occupant is “I”
  22. Lol..priceless Growing up comes before waking up, so focus on meeting your survival needs in a healthy way prior to pursuing awakening (if you can). Check out Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to see where you are and where you need to go.
  23. An example would be money and career achievements qualifying as success for one person, whereas being a devout Christian or Muslim would be an example of another persons definition of success. Be careful not put any one pursuit over another. We have to respect the diversity of reality and consciousness.
