  1. Hmm...I would say one's thoughts on Leo's delivery is subjective. You may think he's confrontative, others (like me) may find it authentic. Agreed, but it's really easy to confuse what you call blind faith with true open-mindedness. The ego can trick us in this way, especially if it's deep in materialism.
  2. @Frenk I agree. Curt was able to maintain an open ear whilst being triggered, and I am sure that was difficult. Not to say we shouldn’t sympathize, but it’s amazing how irritable the truth can be to human psyches.
  3. You’re also imagining your physical body as well, look in your mirror and contemplate that deeply…imagination applies to all things in your direct experience.
  4. As I get deeper into working my life purpose, I’m starting to see just how damn hard it will be to buy my freedom from corporate/wage slavery. If any of you have escaped, I would like to hear your success stories and what you did to stay motivated. Also if you’re trying to break out, share your motivation techniques. At this point..it’s a long game for me (10-20 years…hopefully)
  5. Where does your desire to read more books come from? Do you have some insecurities regarding your level of intellect? The ego is tricky in this way.
  6. ? this is hilarious lol. Jesus was pretty gangster if your think about it. Who else would have to the balls to die on the cross for everyone’s sins??
  7. You contradict yourself here, if you were really non reactive, it wouldn’t ruin your day. It obviously bothers you, but to diffuse arguments, at least one person has to have a cool head about things. As a man, you must be able to control your emotions…to soften her emotions. When she’s pissed, just ask her questions and try to get an understanding. Nine times out of ten..she just wants you listen so she can feel heard and understood. You can’t do this when you are caught up in your emotions and in a reactive state.
  8. All majors if you ask me…but that’s only if you have some kind of higher purpose to you pursuing that field of study. If you’re just declaring a major blindly with no strategy of how it fits into the bigger picture of your goals, then you automatically move in the opposite direction of personal development. Real question is what kind of work are you passionate about and will college or university help you get there. If so, how? No one can provide an answer to this but you.
  9. Alcohol is too mainstream for folks to be honest about it. It's a billion dollar industry, and is intimately tied with the social culture amongst humans. I've struggled with alcoholism, and it no laughing matter. We normalize the consumption of alcohol because our identities are tied to it. Alcohol kills so many people, and we still refuse to look at it for what it is...a toxin, a poison. But who am I to tell anyone how to live their life. I hope the best for all of you!
  10. Millions of people have caught COVID, and even more have died. It never ceases to amaze me how we react to these celebrity stories. There are bigger problems in the world than Rogan catching COVID 19, we have folks in third world countries dying in masses...from not only COVID, but other stuff.
  11. My sense of self is dissolving gradually, what’s realized is how all of the reality is defined in relation to the self. Once the self is dissolved, reality literally dissolves with it. There is nothing/nobody here. I have no opposite, there is only my consciousness (as God). Loneliness never felt so blissful, it also feels scary. Guess I’ll have to get used to it. I also recognize that I have been looking for spiritual validation from this forum. I now see that this is a farce, truth can come from no one and nothing but direct consciousness, as everything in existence is just a manifestation of it.
  12. Thanks for sharing. And kudos for you taking that leap right out of university. I went straight into the workforce and have been in it for 10 years or so. Agree on startups connected to high consciousness. Thanks for sharing, helps to know what the minimum is to feel secure instead running ourselves dry by chasing profit 24/7.
  13. Simply put, look at any aspect of your present reality - and recognize that it is a creation of your own mind. Do this day after day after day..and you'll eventually become formless
  14. Thanks! Appreciate you tying skill building into all of this and the need to not feel bad about starting small. One hurdle for me is gradually getting away from the comfort that my 9-5 provides (another trick of wage slave owners). Awesome feedback Yes - your life purpose course did wonders regarding this. For me it’s not freedom for freedoms sake, it’s leaving the world s better place by not wasting my existence and capabilities as a human with unique talents Agree. I make a six figure income from being a wage slave which isn’t bad, but it’s not my life purpose. I need to somehow be able to survive with funds from a life purpose. It’s in the works.
  15. There is nothing separate from consciousness. This includes ego death.
  16. Who/what has caused you this suffering? You cannot begin to heal until getting very concrete about its source.
  17. It’s alright if you start out through the Egos motivation to manipulate reality to fulfill its selfish needs. After all, it would be a hard sell if the Ego really knew the truth..that obtaining awakening will lead to its demise . Therefore, it helps to trick it a bit.
  18. Does the human have free will? No. But remember, you are not human
  19. Here are some for me: Did you vote for Trump? (Lol...I'm bias) Thoughts on God? What's in your future? Do you like kids? What's the last book you read? Thoughts on infidelity? What are your parents like? What does a good day look like for you?
  20. Seems like you care a little too much what people think. To hell with what other peoples opinion are of you, no one is perfect. Fear is an illusion.
  21. Meditation - started out as a chore almost, but now I enjoy it. Sitting in nature is always a good thing.
  22. Jaded much? Lol Wise advice. I find myself going in and out of contextual variations of Infinite Love. God has the power to frame Truth in an infinite number of ways, may as well choose the highest.
  23. Agree with @Flowerfaeiry The pandemic was a blessing in disguise for me, in terms of being able to work from home, and meditate incrementally from the comfort of my apartment without dealing with a commute or bothersome co-workers. Now with the economy opening back up, wage slaves are expected to go back to…well, slaving. I’m also having to figure out how to juggle spirituality with a 9 to 5. Some things are just to good to turn your back on, spirituality is one of them. Good luck
  24. The sad thing is that there is no recipe. We all have unique ego structures. But if I had to guess, start by asking yourself what you fear the most (can be specific or abstract). Then deeply explore it….like really deeply. It’s like finding a gold nugget in a dirt pile…the process sucks, but the result is unmatched.
