He’s actually in a good place to obtain spiritual liberation. All the material temptations have been removed from him. They only serve as distractions. He has plenty of time to meditate. Many prisoners do Vipassana meditation. He also has to learn acceptance of the cockroaches. I talked to a Thai monk who said that learning to meditate with the mosquitos are an important part of liberation. When I was in the Amazon, I had to accept bugs crawling over me and trying to eat me 24/7. He is also probably getting cold showers. When Shinzen Young was in the Japanese monetary, he had to pour cold water over himself everyday for 6 months (in the winter). Romania is cold this time of year. In the last picture taken of him, he was holding a Koran. I wish him luck in his spiritual retreat. https://na.prison.dhamma.org/en/ -
I have had journeys on cannabis that are as deep and psychedelic as ayahausca or muhrooms. If you approach the plant medicines with serious intention, respect, and humility, they will connect with you. If you use them as “dope” or “weed’ then you are better off watching Netflix.

You can measure a spiritual master by what he can he take from life. Like the Tibetan masters who still have compassion for the Chinese who destroyed their country and murdered millions. Their level of mastery is unreal.

Alan Watts was a scholar but it is uncertain whether he had any spiritual practice. He did Zen for a while but then quit. https://tricycle.org/magazine/alan-watts-reconsidered/

It makes sense to call them “medicine” in the holistic sense in which they are used in shamanism, but I have no faith in reductionist science and their obsessive focus on depression, as if it is a thing that can be cured.

Tate hasn’t been good for men. The ignorant corporate media loves the Tate story because he creates a simplistic message, which is the only thing they are capable of reporting. Men’s legitimate complaints will now be invalidated by pointing to Tate. Both men and women are manipulated and controlled by the wider economic system. This is what they won’t let you know. -
He was a Taoist monk and is a psychotherapist. He does a good job of integrating Taoism with inner child work.

I will post here music played at Ayahuasca ceremonies in Latin America. The music is soulful, nature centered, and has a powerful healing energy. “Agua de Estrellas” is a Peruvian medicine song inspired by the ritual of water from the Andes. In your eyes of infinite water bathe the little stars, momma In your eyes of infinite water bathe the little stars, momma Water of light, water of stars Pachamama you come from the sky Water of light, water of stars Pachamama you come from the sky Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse the heart, brilliant water Heal, heal, heal the heart, blessed water Calm, calm, calm the heart with water from the sky, momma Pachamama Mother Earth Spanish lyrics: Agua de Estellas https://www.google.com/search?q=agua+de+estrellas+letra&oq=agua+de+estrellas+letra&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i61.7802j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

The materialistic philosophers, based on the assumption that conscousness is generated by the brain, then say that consciousness is an epiphenomenon. That means a secondary by-product, and that your consciousness actually doesn’t exist. Think about that. The materialistic assumption is that what is most real to you – your experience – doesn’t actually exist. You are just an imagination somehow generated by a piece of meat. Contemplate that. Does that explanation satisfy you? -

Andrew Tate isn’t that interesting. What is interesting is the question of why he has so many fans and what was the message he crafted? What made Tate successful was also the seeds of his downfall: - extreme aggressiveness combined with a lack of morality and ethics. Tate was successful because his competitiveness, manipulativeness, and lack of concern for others is rewarded in our capitalistic system. Trump was able to gather great wealth using the same tactics. He is popular because dissatisfied men who don’t feel they are winning know that what he is teaching works in America. When you look at the big picture, Tate is harmless compared to the market fundamentalist economists that teach fraudulent theories in every business school in America, which throw millions into poverty and destroy the environment. It is easy to dismiss his fans as immature, but are they just trying to figure out how to prosper in a dysfunctional system? Are they not getting a double message? If a man isn’t like Tate, he ends up living a life alone without any companionship, but Tate gets thrown in jail for fully embracing the values of the prevailing system. -

I remember years ago I took a tour of Alcatraz, and the tour guide was a guard there when Al Capone was serving time. He said Capone was fairly quiet and didn’t cause problems. He also knew the Birdman. When the authorities finally move in these thugs get their wings clipped and then the boys decide it is better not to be a thug after all. Al got the dolls too but he never thought of singing the “matrix” tune after getting caught. -

Criminals do it all the time. He was getting away with it, and instead of shutting up, he had to brag so everyone could see what a doll he was. Pride goeth before the fall. -

I know a lady from Mexico who loves snakes. She had a pet python but got rid of it when she had a child. I personally don't like snakes and ran away from a big one in the jungle when he moved up to within stricking distance. I know my fear of snakes comes from Judeo-Christian conditioning and would like to overcome it.

The nasal quality is part of being in the head. It's like a head that just happens to have a body attached. -

From what I have read, I don’t believe Terence McKenna has ever had a spiritual experience on psychedelics or anywhere else. He keeps talking about his elves which is just a creation of his own imagination. He then goes on to speculate that the elves in his imagination may actually be real, thus projecting his private experience onto reality. He is a very “in the head” person and always stays in the head even under an altered state. In my own experience, I have found that people react radically differently to psychedelics, which are neutral tools that reveal something about one’s own mind. -
I haven’t seen any Iboga ceremonies. I don’t know if they exist. In Mexico, they have Iboga clinics. But they are like hospitals and have doctors on staff. The Iboga is used to treat drug addicts. The patient has to commit to at least a week at the clinic.

Dealing with the police in America is a piece of cake. You don’t know how lucky you are. If you are just acting normal they aren’t going to bother you. Look at the crazies they have to deal with. In Mexico, its more tricky. The police will stop and search you because they feel like it or looking for a bribe. Any you never know if a corrupt cop is also working for criminal gangs. It always pays to be polite. -

The yoga asanas build strength and flexibility. To get the spiritual benefit, just focus your attention on the body sensations and movement, using it as an object of meditation. Yoga is moving meditation. -

I highly recommend the book “The Systems View of Life: A Unifying Vision” by Frijof Capra. He identifies the problem as a capitalistic system that puts profit above every other concern along with an outdated mechanistic reductionist science that doesn’t recognize the interconnection of all beings in the support of life. He advocates changing the motivation of design from designing for profits and market share to designing for life. In the second half of the book he discusses concrete solutions for climate change, poverty, energy, health care, and food supply and provides a list of websites of organizations researching and advocating these changes. Solutions exist, but the main challenge is changing the political environment. There is hope but we are running out of time.
