In principle, the solution to this conflict is easy. Treat the palestinians like equal human beings, respect their rights, and stop stealing their land. You could even have a one state solution, which would be majority palestinian. There would be no war and everyone could work together for a prosperous future. They are doing it in South Africa. But, the reality is you have corrupt politicians and elites who will cling to their power, even if it destroys the world. Netanyahu was charged with fraud, breach of trust, and bribery. You also have the corrupt Western elites determined to cling to power as they see the rise of the global south.

Why is dropping a bomb considered a solution to anything? My car doesn’t work. But I have a solution. I’m going to drop a bomb on it. That will make it work. It perpetuates the cycle of violence and produces more recruits for Hamas. There is the illusion of “wiping them out”, when at that very moment they are being born. It doesn’t work for anyone in that region, but it is good for the military industrial complex, which is why Republican congressman support it. There is also the immediate issue of escalation. How to stop this from turning into a regional war, which eventually draws in the US and Russia. America is already sending 2000 soldiers. This is how the US got sucked into the Vietnam war. This doesn’t just involve the Middle East. It’s about the safety of everyone here.

This was actually a progressive rule of moderation at a time when revenge would result in disproportionate destruction. It is ironic that the same people who claim the Bible as evidence of land ownership ignore its rule of moderation. I think Ron Paul was correct. The United States should stop giving unequal support and arms to Israel and treat them like any other country, and let them solve their own problems. That would actually be the best thing for Israel and that region. Sensible people would take over the government and they would make a peace deal with their neighbors rather than having their policies driven by extremists immigrating from America. Sorry, but if you are living in the United States you are never going to figure it out no matter how much you study it. The people there are the ones who have to solve the problem.

The Western corporate media will only publish one side of the issue. Whenever you get a good guy/bad guy narrative, and the solution is to defeat the bad guy, you know you are listening to propaganda. Joining anything should be taken seriously. This is your life. Ask them probing question on what will be your duties and responsibilities. I believe that in the Mormon church you are expected to give a portion of your income. Loneliness is a big problem in our modern world, and these groups offer an opportunity for community. But part of being in a community is you are expected to sacrifice something. Those young men are carrying out duties expected of them, which is the reason they are talking to you. Don’t rush into anything. Ask a lot of questions and also ask your intuition. If you join, form connections, and then decide it is not right for you, those connections will then be broken, and the departure could be traumatic.

Taking one of the combatant's word for it isn't evidence. Right now, there is alot of false information and intentional propaganda on both sides. We need to be skeptical. Especially, when it is meant to emotionally inflame to encourage the cycle of violence.
