Osaid replied to actualizing25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@actualizing25 Only the affects of the neurons and psychedelics will exist, but not the neurons themselves because you cannot see or feel them in that moment. The affects of the neurons are the only thing you are aware of, so in that moment only the affect of the neurons is what is real. Everything exists exactly as you are aware of it. -

Osaid replied to WHO IS's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@WHO IS Survival purposes. Vomit, feces and corpses warn of bacteria and death. What you find attractive is usually based on whoever looks the most fit for reproduction. Selective beauty in the end is just ego helping you survive. -

@Someone here Well, how do you separate consciousness? What does it even mean to separate consciousness? There is only the illusion of duality but in the end God cannot truly separate itself from itself. It all comes back to one consciousness. Think of it as a dream. When you see a chair in a dream, you can extrapolate and say "oh the chair is made of wood that was cut down", but in reality you know that you simply imagined the chair out of nothing and that the only thing there is the appearance of the chair. That appearance of the chair is the only thing that exists in the dream. Sure, thinking of these ideas helps you to survive and predict what is happening in reality, but it is not the case that they exist in that moment. They only exist as you become aware of them. -

@Someone here There are other finite minds but they are ultimately you. There is only 1 consciousness through which different experiences are viewed. You are looking through the eyes of every creature right now but you cannot access that or else you wouldn't be you and the creature you are accessing wouldn't be itself, it would become a mix of the two experiences. -
I just remember that they are me, so why would I be mean to them. Be forgiving to the other versions of yourself and try to reduce suffering by being kind to them. Ignorant people can't help being ignorant. It's like expecting a fish to do algebra. All their experiences led them to be that way, they weren't lucky enough to find truth and they are suffering for it. In the end, they're just trying to Love the best they can. They make fun of your looks so that they can love their looks They hate a politician because they love their country etc. It also helps to look at things holistically. If ignorance didn't exist, ego wouldn't exist, and so we wouldn't exist since ego helps us survive. Everything has a radical domino affect if you try to remove it. Ignorance has its place in reality and needs to be appreciated as well.

@montecristo @Someone here Anything you become aware of exists exactly as how you are aware of it. Simple as that. If an asteroid hits you on the head and your eyes are closed, the asteroid exists as a loud and deadly force that hits you on the head, but it has no appearance that you can see because your eyes are closed. If you open your eyes, the asteroid now exists as an appearance you can see. It's like when a video game renders to fit what you can experience. You can tell yourself that there is an asteroid coming at you, but it only exists as a loud noise and deadly momentum until you actually look at it, then it will generate an appearance. That explanation is just a story you tell yourself to help you survive and predict situations in reality. Everything is exactly how you perceive it, but your labels and thoughts are clouding the truth. -
@Junin Just keep it to 1 cup a day and take it early. You can go for a coffee fast if you think you're getting addicted or something. You don't have to take it religiously.

@outlandish Interesting, I didn't know caffeine by itself could be healthy. All in moderation I guess.

@Danioover9000 Yeah my body actually seems to mistake thoughts for real food and responds accordingly lol. Our sense of smell is actually very closely linked to memory, that's why when you smell something it can remind you of something you forgot about. The mind is a crazy thing. -

Do not be too attached because not everything is permanent. Love and appreciate the value impermanence provides to your life. -

@Danioover9000 It's like seeing without eyes. It's just there in my head. It's like looking at a dream but from an outside perspective. I've always been able to do it, it's not that hard for me. Apparently some people can barely produce images, which surprised me because I assumed everyone could do it since it was the norm for me. A test they do is they ask you to imagine an apple, and see where you land on this chart. 5 being the least accurate obviously. Apparently some people cant visualize at all. -
Osaid replied to Verdesbird's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Verdesbird You're making the assumption that consciousness is a human trait. That ghost alien spirit thing that came out of you was within consciousness. Anything you experience is within consciousness. -
Osaid replied to Verdesbird's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Verdesbird Consciousness is not something humans create. -
Osaid replied to Verdesbird's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You have never experienced anything outside of consciousness. Physical laws are within consciousness. -
I think higher heart rate is normal when you masturbate, but I never experienced all that other stuff

@zeroISinfinity haha pretty accurate actually

I saw a bug on my wall and thought to myself, what is its purpose? Why is it here? Why did God create something so small and meaningless? It just sits there and does nothing and then reproduces and dies. Then I realized, my life is no more meaningful or important than the bug's life. To the bug, its life is more important than mine. All meaning is relative. This wasn't depressing, it just showed me that life is what we make of it. I intellectualized this concept of meaning being relative before, but I never really encountered a real life example of it in this way. Thought it would be nice to share.

@meow_meow If you're interested enough, this video explains it pretty well

@James123 All this technology is basically a superpower. The ego always thinks it needs more to be happy. -
@meow_meow Yes they need to exist, but any purpose you assign is relative. They do not have one single purpose, they can have infinite purposes because they have no purpose. When you think there is one purpose to something its meaning becomes finite and limited. The bug thinks its life is more important than mine, and I think mine is more important. Why? Because it is not set in stone, it is relative. Meaning is something your mind creates so that it can navigate reality. An object needs to have no meaning in order for you to assign meaning in the first place! Notice that this is only relative to the food chain. What is the purpose of the food chain? What is the purpose of keeping animals alive through this food chain? What is the purpose of creating animals for this food chain in the first place? It goes on forever, the purpose is to just be itself without any existential meaning. Yes, animals are needed for other animals to be alive. But why? There is no REAL reason, it just exists exactly as it is for the sake of existing. There is no reason you can find out there in reality, it just is how it is. You create the model of a food chain in order to make sense of how reality works and realize that animals are needed for other animals to survive, but that doesn't say anything about its actual meaning. You could say the purpose of a computer is so that you can access the internet, but if all humans suddenly disappeared, it is just some object that can display the internet. Who is to say what its purpose is? There is no one left to assign it a purpose. It just exists as it is.

@ItsMeGod Awareness is curative. It made it much easier to see past the stress and anxiety my thoughts caused me and cope with situations in the world. I keep it under wraps pretty much, it is much too radical to simply tell other people. I will hint at spirituality here and there with my mother just to plant that seed. My brother is also super into spirituality like me and actually got me into it. -
@zeroISinfinity Someone else might have felt the same way even if it was a joke, so its all good Good luck with your witch girlfriend
