  1. It's so funny because we are "not perceiving the now"... right now. In a sense you could say that us "not perceiving the now" is as close as you can be to the now. We can't see it precisely because we ARE it! IT is too intimate. To try and experience it is to cut it apart into an "experiencer", "experiencing" the "experienced" through an "experience". You loose yourself in the different facets of experience and loose sight of the broader structure which the very act of "experiencing" is pointing towards (or rather pointing from).
  2. You could ask the same about the human body. Why have humans evolved to look similar in certain ways, while looking completely different in others? See that it's not just a "social" phenomena, but something extends to how your very body is built? Your body is a mirror of other bodies, but it doesn't mirror every aspect of these bodies. It's not necessary for a baby to mirror everything in order to survive, in fact it would be counter-productive because it removes the element of change. Have to much change though and you get rid of the element of consistency. You could simply not exist as a limited form without consistency. Imagine a universe where every single atom is different from any other atom, absolutely no consistency between any two atoms. You could not have the kind of universe we're in right now. Didn't say otherwise. A mirror spontaneously mirrors the room, because that's how it's built. Again, a mirror doesn't think about "masking itself as the room". It just reflects the room, because they're inherently connected to each other. What I am talking about is a similar phenomena. You are inherently connected to other people and the act of "mirroring" them is a completely spontaneous phenomena that arises out of our shared nature. Precisely!
  3. BTW what I'm talking about isn't necessarily coming from a desire to fit in, it can come from other factors like fear, love etc. If someone fears the police they might try to suppress their accent in the presence of a cop for example.
  4. @Princess Arabia I'm not talking about trying to fit in in a social way, but more in a neurological way. Babies learn how to talk and walk by mirroring the people around them, and similarly you mirror the people "around you" (I'm not talking about them being physically around you, I'm also including someone in a video, because your deeper subconscious doesn't fully recognize the difference of a "real" person and someone talking to you through a video), but the baby obviously doesn't think of it as "trying to fit in". It's just that our brains are inherently social and are designed to fit in naturally. That's why it's so difficult to maintain a level of independent thinking. We "steal" how we think and talk from others and thus we have to move beyond how we think and talk if we want to know ourselves. You obviously won't start talking in a Chinese accent when being around a Chinese person, I'm not saying that you're necessarily trying to fit in to such a degree, neither am I saying that you are "thinking" about fitting in in that moment. What I am saying is that your body is subconsciously exaggerating a preexisting trait (your accent) in order to be more similar to the people you're engaging with (no matter if they're actually there or not).
  5. It has to do with energies and tension in the body I think. I once did a yoga retreat in an ashram and after like 3 days I noticed my voice start to change from all the relaxation that I was experiencing. I was way deeper than usual, because I was talking from the belly rather than the chest. You can notice your voice change slightly during the day, based on the situation you're in. It makes sense to imagine that something similar is true for the broader situation in your life. Same with my Russian accent. Most people don't recognize which accent I have, or that I even have one (genuinely the only two groups of people that ever do recognize it are women with a Russian fetish and people that hate Russians), but when I'm around Russians it starts to come out stronger. I think humans just prefer to talk the way the people around them talk. It's coming from a place of wanting to fit in with those around you. At least that's what I think it is for me.
  6. I didn't get that sense from this bit in particular. The only way "I" can fall away, is if "I" was something to begin with. Reality is a whole bunch of nothing. It never settles with any particular form, the "I" that fell away was one of these nothing burgers. However, the true "I" can't be reduced to nothing, as it is already that. It is already nothing and will remain true even if nothing is all there is. Chances are that your prior definition of "I" simply broke away, but don't stop there.
  7. It IS everything living and moving through you. What do you think was typing the words? It was EVERYTHING, restricting itself into SOMETHING. When you type "I am God", it is God pretending to be a human typing "I am God". These are Gods words, even if they are not the purest representation of the truth behind "I am God". They are the truth filtered through infinite layers of conditionings over conditionings, karma over karma. So both perspectives are correct. "I am God" isn't always the perfect representation of the truth, sometimes things are the clearest when they're left unsaid, but the words technically still remain true.
  8. The problem is that you're not trying to "face your fear", but instead are trying to "get rid of it". You are already thinking about it from within your fearful mindset. You buy into the fear and you want it to be gone, but the only reason you want it to be gone is because you believe in it to begin with. If you believed that it was just random nonsense, you wouldn't assign much meaning to it. But to you, it's not just "random nonsense". You believe it to be a fundamental aspect of your reality and you want to get rid of it in order to fundamentally change your reality. It wouldn't change anything. You would just find another thing to be fearful of. The only way is to face the fear. Face your emotions. Face your thoughts. Face yourself! You are the source of this fear. You are the thing that has to be investigated here. Why do you NOT trust in God? You think God is some kind of malevolent force that will punish with eternal suffering for... what crime exactly? What "evil" thing is it that you want, which would prompt the "wisest", "most intelligent", "most loving" and "most forgiving" force in existence to think that you are so evil that you deserve to burn for all of eternity? What could a tiny, little human do, to upset God to such a degree? You fear stems from a fundamental misunderstanding of God. Hell is very much real, but it's not what you think it is and you are not just going to go there because you somehow made the literal creator of EVERYTHING upset. To think that a human has so much power over God, to a point where they can make God genuinely want to punish them (as if God was following human logic which is to punish criminals), is human centric bs. We think that we are so important in the grand scheme.
  9. "OH MY I AM GOD This is it!!" You are welcome. 😉
  10. @Princess Arabia There is truth to that. It depends on what angle you are looking at it from. From a romantic sense... Yeah. I guess it's the reverse of "Don't ask a fish to teach you how to fish.", which guys will bring up from time to time. From that perspective, women have a capacity to understand men in ways, that men aren't capable of (unless they're gay idk). I personally think the whole idea of "not asking fish to teach you how to fish" is flawed, as humans aren't fish and dating isn't about killing and eating the opposition. I don't think it's about "men not understanding men" or "women not understanding women" or "men not understanding women" etc etc etc. I think it's about the fact that people simply do not understand people very well. This goes for both men and women. Men don't understand men and they don't understand women. Same goes for women. There wouldn't be all these debates about what it means to be a "real man" or "a feminine woman", if people understood themselves. Not a lot of people are interested in that.
  11. @Chosen144 If you put a 4L in your name people will think that you're affiliated with that guy, or that "4L" is some sort of crew similar to the A$AP Mob. It might be confusing for the fans and you might make the guy upset, so it's not the best bet. Plus it's still in too close of a proximity to the name"Unreal Engine 4", so the algorithms will mess you up real good. You can't build a building if there is already a building on a plot of land. Make sure that a plot of land is available. If your name intersects with another brand too much, you might end up being over shadowed. Try to come up with something that uniquely represents you. Pairing up "unreal" with some letters/numbers is a good idea if you want it to stand out. Optimally you'd go for fewer symbols, something that rolls of the tongue easily, something that feels good when saying it out loud. It could be as simple as switching the letter "u" for a "0". "0nreal" since zero represents nothing and kind of plays into the theme of being "unreal" (or not real). I guess you'd just have to pronounce it like "onreal" instead of "unreal", but if anybody asked you could simply explain that it stood of unreal. You have to figure out what works for you. Just hit up Google and see how available the name is. I looked up "0nreal" and I didn't find any big content creators or artists. That's the kind of thing you're looking for. That's when you know that a name is up for grabs. Everything else will just put you in a position where you have to wage a "war", of who can attract more attention, with whichever brand you share your name with.
  12. Women might care in different ways than men, but men do care about their age (and in certain ways they care the same). Do you think that a 50 year old guy, who is stuck in a failing marriage, who's children don't like him, who has a job he hate, doesn't care about the fact that he is getting older and that the opportunities to change his life are getting less and less (maybe that's his pov)? Do you think he will not be insecure about the fact that time is running out? Do you think that if you told him "Dude, your 50 years old, what are you doing?", his age wouldn't affect him?
  13. We have lots of beliefs about our beliefs. A scientists might believe that materialism isn't a believe, a spiritual person might believe that it is. Doubt is weaponized and used to further one's agenda. Ironically, the things you've never doubted are the things you should doubt the most. It's understandable though. These are the things that are the scariest one's to question, because they give you the very floor you're standing on. Pull them away and you're taking a free dive through consciousness, falling into an infinite amount of directions simultaneously. So I don't want to shit on this whole idea of not questioning your assumptions. They give each of us a ground to stand on and I respect them as such. The only reason you would question an assumption would be that there is something greater than that assumption pulling you. On one level this might manifest as the pain caused by the assumption, at other levels you could say that LOVE is pulling the strings, but the bottom line is that we're all made from the same thread of yearn. The force that makes you question an assumption is the very force that made you adopt that assumption to begin with. When another person is taking something for granted, it's happening through the same force that you're breaking your belief structures apart with. If Consciousness wants to appear as a human it will appear as a human. If it then wants to question itself AS that human, it's free to do so. If it doesn't want that to happen it's not going to happen. When you encounter the ignorance of man, try to meet it with some compassion. The reason you can see beyond their ignorance is the same reason they're ignorant.
  14. Okay alright where do I start this? I actually don't know where to start. There are so many things to say and think about. There is so much to explore and so much to see. So many different possible experiences. Yet I am not experiencing what I want to be experiencing. I am experiencing so many problems that I don't want be to experiencing. Maybe I am experiencing them because I have to experience them? I don't know and couldn't tell, but that isn't important. The most important thing is that I am scared of the experience of having to take responsibility. Responsibility for myself and those around me. Responsibility for these problems that I am facing. Think about it. These problems aren't unique to my being. They aren't confined to the "me". "My" problems keep affecting others and "their" problems keep affecting me. Maybe these are problems of the collective consciousness and I just keep "channeling" them unconsciously. Like a mirror that' reflects an image. I am reflecting the world back to itself. And that takes it back to the topic of responsibility. I should start taking responsibility for the things I reflect back into the world. I can be reflecting negative things or positive things. I can be reflecting lower levels of consciousness or higher levels of consciousness. Just like the eightfold path: It's probably time that I start reflecting positive things out into the world. I have a lot of negative habits but they can change. I can start developing positive habits that improve life for me, but also the world around me. That's the thought that feels the best. Creating a positive world. It doesn't matter if it's a realistic goal or not. What matters is that I start taking responsibility for myself. If I want to change the world I have to change myself first. I have to reflect a good image back into the world. Hope doesn't die unless we let it. If you can carry hope within yourself, you can also carry that hope into the hearts of others. It's like you're carrying a torch on. If 1 person can affect 2 people, 2 people can affect 4 people. And if 4 People can affect 8 people, 8 people can affect 16 people! I hope that I can carry it into the heart of at least 1 person. Because then my hope will live on. And maybe that can be a step towards creating the world that I'd like to see. Even if it's just a nano step. I might be scared of this responsibility, but that's fine. There are so many ways to deal with this fear and I'm sure that I'll find one of them (if not more).
  15. By externalizing your pain and painting it as "the world being evil", you just point your fingers away from the actual issue, which is an internal issue. It's a distraction. It's so much easier to keep blaming the world, because there is nothing you can do about changing it. YOU on the other hand can change, but it would require you to take responsibility for yourself and to move into action. You would have to let go of old beliefs, thought structures, emotions and so on, which would actually hurt. It's much more comforting to tell ourselves that there is nothing we can do, because the "world sucks so much". It's just a coping mechanism. But if you want to take your belief seriously then consider this: By blaming the world, you ironically choose to do nothing about it, because the only way to do something about it is to take responsibility for it. All you can do is try and be the best version of yourself that you could possibly be, that's the best you can do for this world. You are NOT creating a better world by giving into the hopelessness and negativity. SO if you really cared about the state of the world, then this is what you should be doing. Chances are that you don't actually care for the world and simply use it as a strawman to justify your suffering to yourself and the people around you.
  16. I think Chat GPT could've done a better interview. Don couldn't bring the conversation beyond the wokeness of it all. He didn't even do a good job at that. Elonsaid a lot of things he could've been pressured on if Don had actually listened to what he was saying instead of constantly trying to bring the conversation back to his original problem. A good example was when he was talking about censorship and he brought up the point that some people might consider the banning of child porn as "censorship". Elon said: He doesn't continue the sentence, but instead says that he will moderate the platform according to the will of the people which manifests as the law. I think Don could've put pressure on his conservative image and his libertarian views there. Is the only reason child pornography is banned on Twitter because of the law? Would he be okay with it if it was legal? Isn't he an "independent thinker"? Where are Elons morals and doesn't he care about the children and "family values"? It was a good opportunity to attack him from a conservative pov. Lefties already understand the problem with Elon, you don't need to ask him about the promotion of hatred and violence. Instead you should focus on attacking him on the inconsistencies between his views and the people he sides with politically. Conservatives care about the protection of children a lot, attacking him on this front will be more powerful than attacking him on a front people already dislike him on. Don was sneakily trying to get a "gotcha!" on Elon and didn't do a good job at that.
  17. Good thing is that it doesn't have to come to that. You are alive right now and you are carrying your karma with you right now, this give you an opportunity to deal with your problems in this lifetime. Think about it in terms of your life so far. When you procrastinate on an important issue it only gets worse. I'm not saying that your problems will get worse beyond this life if you don't deal with them, I don't know that, my point is just to be careful wishing for death, as things could be equally as bad if not worse. Observe your general trend in this life. Have things been getting better or have they been getting worse? This will give you a direct cue on whether your strategies have worked or not. Your goal in life shouldn't be to reach some peak, like some perfect sexual relationship, it won't fulfill you anyway. You should be focused on generating a general upward trend. There are people who wouldn't share what you've been sharing with others, so you're already doing good in that regard. The next step after sharing to to use the feedback you get to reflect upon your current strategies. I think that'd be the next mile stone to ascend to.
  18. This is the most fucked up and simultaneously the funniest thing I've read all week LMAO Respect for being so open.
  19. That's a beautiful realization! Everything is a mirror after all...
  20. This one dimensional portrayal of masculinity can easily get you stuck in inauthenticity. Let's say you make a mistake: It takes quiet some balls to own up and take responsibility for it, especially if it's associated with strong shame or guilt. However, I've met multiple of these "alpha male" types that struggle admitting to their flaws and mistakes. Owning up to a mistake can make you feel weak and incompetent, which might go against the fantasy of the "strong and competent" man. Introspection is disincentivized, because it actually takes vulnerability, which isn't seen as "manyl" for a lot of these guys. As a man, you will have to do both. You will have to know how to assert yourself, but you also have to know when to let something go. If you can't be "alpha" when the time comes to man up, or if you can't be "beta" when it's time to sit your ass down and listen, then you inherently limit what you're capable of achieving as a man. The same is obviously true for the opposite type of man. Demonizing and suppressing your masculinity will lead to the same problems.
  21. @Trazeharerama I think this public version was released in the last couple of weeks. I'm not sure about alternatives, at least ones that let you generate stuff for free.
  22. https://app.suno.ai/create/ You can generate 10 free songs a day. I'm probably not going to use it to generate serious ideas as of right now, but it can create hilarious parody music. Here is a parody of a modern trap song. It's called "Dumpling Mode" https://app.suno.ai/song/863152cc-6dc5-4fba-b2d0-feb142c7135c/ You can't give it specific artist names, but it's been quiet good at capturing the vibe I told it to go for.
  23. How did these flashes of light feel "physically". I've had similar experiences after my first psychedelic trip, when I first started to mediate. It felt like a nuke went up right in front of my eyes, disintegrating every cell of my body into pure loving light. Alternative you could say that it felt like being shot through a tunnel of light, at the speed of light, at which point your body dissolves into the light itself, revealing yourself to be the light. These were not just visual. It was a very powerful and visceral experience.
  24. You can realize it so deeply that you completely loose the ability to form sentences, words, and even thoughts. At this point, trying to put it into words feels like trying to drink an entire ocean through a single straw.
