Un ironically, China is the only country giving Communism any ounce of credibility. Without Communism and the Communist Party, what would China be like today? The answer to that is simple: India. China would be like India. Without the cultural revolution throwing out spiritual superstitions, China would be religiously superstitious and backwards. They would be less industrialized, less literate, etc... Why India? Its because the two countries are incredibly similar and came from similar starting positions. Massive populations of over 1 billion people, incredibly religious and superstitious, dominated by western powers. As of today, its estimated that 19% of the population of India is illiterate, as opposed to 3% in China.

So a while ago, I posted this. Welp, they're back. My Aunt has been insistent on finding me a "nice Lebanese wife", because she wants for me to marry a woman who is a practicing Shia Muslim, as well as is Lebanese. I received a phone call from my Uncle that apparently they found a woman for me. She's a 100% Lebanese woman who works at some sort of health clinic. This woman's parents and family are very strict about religion and so my Uncle said that I was not allowed to "do anything" (have sex, kiss, etc...) until marriage. But they want to set me up and schedule with her family (not with her, her family) to have me meet with her with the supervision of her parents. We are both in our 20's. Of course I declined and said I was not romantically interested, but I later agreed to meet with her as friends. I'm sharing this because for you westerners, white people, and Americans, this is completely out of the ordinary for you all.

Would any of you actually vote for Bilzerian and do you view the popularity of people like him to be Israel's fault? Or the fault of some sort of secret Muslim Brotherhood / Jihadi conspiracy, which is what conservatives like Mark Levin have been pushing.

I don't want to do this as I'm dating a secular European woman for whom my family doesn't really approve of.

They're def okay with Sunni but a Shia wife is strongly preferred. I don't know "what shia sect is allowed" as it pertains to marriage but I know for a fact that our family's sect is اِثْنَا عَشَرِيَّة . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelver_Shi'ism I don't know of any women in our family who wear a hijab. I've seen photos of my woman cousins wearing a chador but only for umra and hajj. I don't know if this girl prays five times a day, but I know that my uncle and a few cousins do. I was told by my; Dad, Aunt, Uncle, and her Dad that this family is very religious.

My family is getting more serious about finding me a wife, and I recently received a phone call from my Uncle saying that they had already found me a wife, and that I'm schedule to meet with her soon. I spoke to her father over the phone, and he said that if I get married, they'll start to teach me all about Islam and such. I'm wondering if this is a good idea. One part of me is considering that this is a good idea because it would involve no effort on my part, as in no need to learn how to date, attract a partner, or do pickup. I just have to meet this woman, see if I like her, and maybe we'll hit it off. But another part of me is rejecting this because I view this as a betrayal of my values. The thing with this woman is that she is some sort of Muslim. If I get married to a Muslim, she and her family will try to rub off her values onto me and try to make me a Muslim. I feel as if this would be antithetical to the values I built up over the years watching Actualized.org videos, going on meditation retreats, and reading spiritual books. I'm so confused right now. Are married people happy? @Leo Gura Do you personally feel as if you missed out on happiness because you never got married or had children? I don't know why I'm even considering this. I think its because the cultural forces of my Arab family are pressuring me to conform, but I'm wondering if it will make me happy.

This is 100% Israel's fault. Anyone who can rub together two braincells can just go to any news outlet, see the brutality of what happened in the Gaza strip since (October 7) 2023, see all of these wars (Iran and Lebanon), see how close Netanyahu is to Trump, and then connect that to Israel and Jews. Even amongst Republicans, approval and support for Israel is at catastrophic lows. As long as Israel continues to behave this way, expect more people like Bilzerian to enter politics.

What I was trying to communicate is that Chinese politicians are incredibly qualified and serious. In order to rise to higher levels of Chinese politics, a politician has to serve at lower levels and is evaluated for their performance. Also, formal education is a must. Its a meritocracy which weeds out stupid and incompetent grifters. Look at Xi, his mannerisms, his maturity, his formal education, and compare him with Trump.
