  1. Greetings everyone. So recently Leo published a blog post about the 99 names of Allah. https://actualized.org/insights/the-99-names-of-allah And all the way back in 2018, he published a video Understanding Islam. https://www.actualized.org/articles/understanding-islam This is a bit perplexing, but I don't think Leo understands Islam. He's trying to twist Islam into this higher consciousness vision when it is really far from that. First criticism, the greater jihad. In Leo's video, Understanding Islam, he presents Muhammad as a sort of self-help guru. According to Leo, Muhammed taught that the "greatest jihad" was the fight against the inner self. That to fight the enemies of Islam through military conquest was the lesser jihad, but the greater jihad was the fight to improve and become a better person. I have two problems with this: Criticism No.1: The greater jihad hadith is not a reliable hadith according to most Islamic scholars. Some scholars go as far to say that the hadith is fabricated. Criticism No.2: The are authentic hadiths which directly contradict this. Beginning with criticism No.1, the greater jihad myth comes from this inauthentic hadith: " Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) narrates; “The Prophet of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) returned from one of his battles, and thereupon told us, ‘You have arrived with an excellent arrival, you have come from al-jihad al-asghar (lesser jihad) to al-jihad al-akbar (greater jihad) – the striving of a servant (of Allah) against his desires.’' " Now while this hadith may sound nice and beautiful, like as if Muhammed wanted us to improve ourselves, there are a few glaring flaws to be found here. Firstly, the chain of narrations is not sound. In order for a hadith to be considered sahih (authentic), there has to be a reliable chain of narrators going back to the prophet. More info on that here: https://friendsofdeoband.wordpress.com/2012/09/17/analysis-of-hadith-the-greater-jihad/ But this hadith first appeared in the 11th century, and Muhammed lived in the 6th century. Now with criticism No.2 , there are hadiths which directly contradict this idea that the greatest is the struggle against the inner self. Its even in contradiction with the Quran. Those believers who stay at home—except those with valid excuses1—are not equal to those who strive in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has elevated in rank those who strive with their wealth and their lives above those who stay behind ˹with valid excuses˺. Allah has promised each a fine reward, but those who strive will receive a far better reward than others— Quran 4:95 And here's the final nail in the coffin for the greater jihad myth. “I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, which Jihad is best?’ He said: ‘(That of a man) whose blood is shed and his horse is wounded.’” Sunan Ibn Majah 4:24:2794 And wait, there's more: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The best life is that of the man who holds his horse's rein in Allah's way and flies on its back to the places from whence he hears a war cry or the clatter of arms, seeking martyrdom or slaughter on the battlefield; or that of a person who goes to stay on the top of the hill or in a valley, and there he performs Salat (prayer), pays the Zakat and worships his Rubb till death overtakes him. He has no concern with the affairs of anyone except the doing of good." riyad as-salihin 12:1299 The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked: "Which deed is the best?" He (ﷺ) replied, "Faith in Allah and Jihad (fighting, struggle) in the Cause of Allah." riyad as-salihin 12:1287

  4. Iran is 100% correct when they say that America is the great Satan. And Israel the little Satan.
  5. I myself don’t agree with the one-party Marxist-Leninist government of Cuba or State Socialist economics, but the newly imposed oil blockade is hurting innocent people. Average people lost their access to electricity and there’s no gas to fuel trash collection, so trash is piling up and spreading diseases. A problem which didn’t exist before Trump’s new blockade. Do these rich people not understand what is it like to live like this? These Republicans are psychopaths.
  6. @Leo Gura What do you think about America’s current stranglehold on Cuba? Obama partially lifted the Cuba Embargo. But Trump now has not only not undone that, but added additional sanctions and imposed a (oil) blockades. Now the Island nation is suffering from severe power blackouts and an economic meltdown. Why is Trump doing this? Why is it that Obama wanted to end the embargo (but didn’t because Congress didn’t let him) ? Why is Trump being so cruel to Cuba when they’ve done nothing to us? Such a stark difference between Obama and Trump.
  7. But Persians are not Arab Palestinians. Lebanese are not Palestinians. Why are they so concerned?
  8. I didn’t mention their support for Hamas, my main grievance is with Hezbollah, which has become a state within a state
  9. @Leo Gura What about Iran’s support of proxy groups such as Hezbollah, Houthis, Popular Mobilization Forces, etc… I’m Lebanese and Hezbollah has been responsible for a lot of destabilization sectarianism, and corruption. Also not a valid reason for war?
  10. @Leo Gura Do you think that there is a valid reason for war with Iran on the count that Iran has been killing the protestors? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_Iran_massacres They also support proxy groups such as Hezbollah which are responsible for destabilization, and are accused of pursuing a nuclear weapon. Are these not valid reasons for a war?
  11. https://www.actualized.org/insights/a-warning-to-christians I can only assume the same applies to Islam, because quite often people I can hear my old religion (Shia Islam) wooing and calling me back. And it’s like a comfort, because similar to how Christians associate Christianity with sweet memories of waking up for Christmas, I sort of do the same with Islam because of my family.
  12. This is a tribute to Leo's recent blog post. https://www.actualized.org/insights/more-conformity-examples Post more examples of conformity, and discuss it here.
  13. Just to give me thoughts on the war. I’m absolutely supportive of the Iranian people in their struggle to overthrow their oppressive Islamist government. The reason for this, is because I’m Lebanese, and I’m upset at the Iranian government for supporting Hezbollah. Hezbollah is one of the worst things that has ever happened to Lebanon. That, and the PLO setting up shop in southern Lebanon, and the civil war. Hezbollah is a vile organization. I’ve meet teenagers who were approached by the organization for recruitment. They keep dragging the country into war with Israel, and are largely responsible for sectarianism. Lebanon is not a functioning state. The currency is one of the most worthless in the world, they suffered from the Beirut port explosion which was largely caused by corruption. The country went for a while without proper trash cleanup, sanitation, and an economic meltdown. And instead of focusing on this, Hezbollah will focus more on its obsession with Israel. If we have to live in shit, that’s okay, just as long as Israel is destroyed. The largest army in Lebanon is not the Government army, it’s Hezbollah. And when the new Supreme Leader of Iran was announced, they swore their allegiance to him. And Hezbollah is so massive, it’s considered a “state within a state”, as they practically own the South. The main government doesn’t really have autonomy in the south. An army larger than the national army swearing its allegiance to a foreign head of state? Is this normal?
  14. I’m surprised Leo has yet to comment anything about this war but he keeps posting on his blog about Epstein and pedophiles.
  15. This rant by Vaush is utterly brilliant. Everyone please watch it, he’s really good here. Better than “experts”.
  16. https://www.actualized.org/insights/actualized-quotes-427 Leo here is reminding me of Osho. Rajneesh was very famous for his criticism of Politicians. Saying that politician was the worst career that someone could have, that they were all mentally ill, that the desire to enter politics was born out of an inferiority complex, etc… https://oshoworld.com/what-is-politics https://oshofriends.com/key_issues/32849 https://oshoworld.com/politics-and-love
  17. This is incredibly relevant because Reza Pahlavi said that he doesn’t want to install himself as a dictator or a monarch, but rather to act as a transitory leader to move Iran to a multi-party secular liberal democracy.
  18. https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet 10/EFTA01660679.pdf " Donald Trump, the president, had parties at Maralago called "calendar girls". Jeffery Epstein would bring children and Donald Trump would auction them off. He measured children's vulva and vaginas by entering a finger and rating the children on tightness. We were taken into rooms, forced to give oral sex to Donald J Trump. I was 13 years old when Donald Trump J raped me. "
  19. @Leo Gura Thoughts on the Iran conflict?
  20. @Leo Gura Your thoughts? If you’re reading this.
  21. From a Spiral Dynamics POV, this is an attempt by America to forcefully remove the BLUE government and force it into ORANGE. Iran is not so blue as you’d think. https://www.reddit.com/r/interestingasfuck/s/qZD19m6mKl
  22. — 🇮🇷 Statement by the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps): {And do not think of those who have been killed in the way of Allah as dead; rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision} – Holy Quran We offer our condolences and congratulations to the presence of Imam Mahdi (may our souls be sacrificed for him), the Islamic Ummah, the esteemed religious authorities and scholars, and the great nation of Iran on the honorable martyrdom of the pious scholar, the foremost martyr of the Islamic Revolution, and the rightful deputy of the Imam of the Age, Ayatollah Khamenei, in the blessed month of Ramadan. Almighty God accepted this great warrior's soul and the pure son of Lady Fatimah in the blessed month of Ramadan, like his leader, the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and granted him the blessing of martyrdom. We have lost a great leader and mourn him, who was unique in his era in terms of purity of the soul, strength of faith, prudence in affairs, courage against the arrogant, and jihad in the way of Allah. Martyrdom at the hands of the most wicked terrorists and executioners of humanity is a sign of the righteousness of this great leader and the acceptance of his sincere services. Martyrdom on the path of Islam and great Iran is a sign of victory and approaching the goal; however, with the martyrdom and migration to God of Imam Khamenei (may God be pleased with him), his path and conduct will not stop and will continue with power and glory. This martyrdom will make our nation even more determined to continue the luminous path of dear Imam Khamenei. The criminal and terrorist act of the wicked governments of the United States and the Zionist regime is a clear violation of all religious, ethical, legal, and customary principles; therefore, the avenging hand of the Iranian nation will not leave the perpetrators of the Imam of the Ummah's killers unpunished, and they will face severe, decisive, and regretful punishment. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic, and the great popular Basij will powerfully continue the path of their leader to defend the precious legacy of this great leader and will stand firm against internal and external conspiracies and punish the aggressors against the Islamic homeland with a lesson. In conclusion, we invite all segments of society to demonstrate their national unity and cohesion with a passionate and epic presence in the scenes of national defense, showing the world and the wicked and terrorist enemies of this nation their solidarity.'
