  1. I've decided I don't want to be the part of this community, please ban me or delete my account, as I didn't find a way to delete it myself.
  2. No it's not in my opinion. Tax is collecting money into one big pile. Then when they decide what to do with that money it becomes resource allocation. But who makes that decision, what makes them qualified? In my country, very often, public spending is done very badly in my opinion. Also very often government spending is very inefficient, because there is a lack of skin in the game. It doesn't seems to me that Elon Musk is about personal gain, he truly beliefs his goals about spacefaring civilization and sustainable future and with what he achieved so far, he seems extremely qualified.
  3. Yes, change is important. And all those things you mentioned are important. But but it can feel very overwhelming, all the techniques and all the ways you can improve yourself. Just take it easy, for one... And for two, I will say what worked for me: - 80/20 rule : what of those things you feel like would benefit you the most? for the past years, for me the most impactful was journaling, contemplation and psychedelics ( so what does this mean in reality: I think a lot, then gather my thoughts linearly through writing. Sometimes I do shrooms and I write my insights) - just do it : just change something and see the effect and than change something again and so on... sort of scientific approach
  4. I wouldn't equate spirituality and meditation. There is a difference in my opinion. Mindfulness meditation has been really helpful in my life. But it's sort of a mind technology and not a belief. Not to take away from spirituality, but it's very personal and don't think it's not very recommendable. It's only for those who seek it in my opinion. If you don't seek it, don't bother with it.

  6. It would be great If you could provide some details or link some reference, because from my googling around, it is regarded very safe and has very low toxicity. Also from what I read, the FDA didn't ban it for the reason that it is not healthy, but because it doesn't technically qualify as a dietary supplement. But of course, there is lacking long term use research, so it should be used carefully.

Just to clear some things: By describing it as mild I don't mean it as a negative, in fact it is very positive in my view, because I don't do very well with "harder" stimulants like coffee, it makes me very jittery. I like green tea, that I would include in that mild category. Overall if I would choose only one nootropic, piracetam is my go to. And Japanese green tea.
  8. It is over the counter in my country as well. It is very mild in effect in my opinion. I do 4,800 mg a day, sometimes I have extended periods off it. For me it has been really great for motivation, getting more enjoyment from simple things and work - so I presume this classifies as mood. As for focus I have been struggling with mild OCD and ADHD and I think it helped. But for the type of focus, where you want do sit down and focus on a task, focus meditation works the best.
  9. I've been doing functional patterns for the past year+ with personal trainer and now I'm continuing on my own. I has been really great, never felt so good physically. It is very stage yellow approach to training and I highly recommend it. Had problems with some aches and pains when doing traditional weight lifting in the past. With FP I feel I can push myself without really compromising my joints and shortening muscles etc. You don't really need much space to exercise, while it would be good to maybe do it outside on in the park or some more open spaces, it certainly can be done indoors.   12. Yes, I second this. My father is a chronic interrupter, he just gets very excited when sometimes jumps into his mind and want to say it right away. Also sometimes my whole family is this way, and everybody talks at the same time, its just chaos The best way to deal with this, is to take a hold of the conversation, be the captain that steers the ship, be the moderator. If you are speaking, just finish what you wanted, interrupt back the interrupter. If you let it slide, you just reinforce the bad habits of the interrupter in my opinion.
  13. Yes, I've found the functional patterns fascia release method the best. You use foam roller or lacrosse ball and instead of rolling around the muscle, you find one spot on the muscle where it's tight or hurts and apply pressure on that point for minute, two or longer, then roll the roller further along the muscle, stop at the next point apply pressure and so on.
  14. I highly recommend this book from Stuart Chase as an easy read and a primer on semantics, Korzybski's map is not the territory stuff, etc. It might be useful to you as Leo often uses these insight in his own teachings.
