  1. do you know what unconscious is? It is not something I choose. These problems are present even in dreams. Am I responsable for what I dream too?
  2. yes, it is an illusion you can look for what is behind the sensation of your back/column, it is a good self inquiry exercise
  3. Most people like to spend their time doing stupid stuff like that you mention. It is not my case. I want to contemplate to understand the Truth, I want to change myself troguth self-development to know how it feels like and I want to express my creativity. I am not interested in entering data into accounting software, watching tv or dumb stuff on youtube, it hurst to me since I feel I am wasting life doing that insubstantial tasks, but on the other hand I feel like a failure, unemployed and living with my mom. Last 2 years my self esteem went to the shit because I live like a teenager when I am 28.
  4. I know that. But, If am not even able to get a regular job (in a specific are which I build my career because I thought there were most market demand) (finance and accounting), how the hell am I gonna build a income source from my interest (spirituallity, postmodern philosophy, metaphysics, aesthetics, theology) if only 4 freaks like me are interested. I thought deeply about this 10 years ago before entering uni and I got to the conclusion that it is not possible to get money from my talents and I have build a career in some practical stuff and let my passions to the free time so I can´t do it even when it does not product money. What I miscalculated is that work was going to rob me all day.
  5. that hour in the middle of the day is to lunch with the collegues or go to your apartment and lunch and come back and in the morning I would go straight to job. The oly free time I would have would be 22:00-24:00, where I am exausted from the activies of the day. Maybe I could practice do-nothing meditation there, but not intellectual stuff.
  6. can you briefely explain the technique? What I do nowadays is do noting of I am not doing a high concentartion required actividy or talking, I don´t know any other way
  7. past = desire -to escape from present- future = desire -to escape from present- Reality is define by that which IS independently of your desire. So if you are manipulating (imagining/thinking about present and past), it is not real.
  8. If you start learning about spirituallity they will tell you that God/Good is not only a believe that religious people have but something that one can experience for oneself through mysticism (pscychodelics, meditation and so on), been enlightenment the ultimate understading that reality is Good/Peace/Perfect/Beauty. Then you research a little bit more and find that all individuals go trought similar stages in their spiritual journey towards enlightment, despite their culture of time. So you have this cross-cultural transpersonal map now. Then you look for the people who "fullfull" the map, the most prestigious secular teachers who are enlightened nowayday -and therefore should have a higher understading of realtiy than the masters that are in the previous stages-: Shinzen Young, Culadasa, Daniel Ingram, Michael Taft and Kenneth Folk among others. Then you find that this people don´t dare to say clearly that the essence of reality is Good, they are not sure, and their metaphysical ideas in many cases are not much different that those from a normie athetist. Even the buddha, who is the referent of enlightenment, strongly oppose these Absolute notions of reality agains the previous traditions who were like Leo Gura and talked about Absolute, Perfection, Good, Love, etc. So what place has God now in our intellectual understanding of reality? Should we rely on people that takes 5-Meo-DMT and assume that it gives them a higher understading of reality than those who are enlightenment? Please no "go and find by yourself", "God is just an idea in your mind that is happpening in the present", "you are imagining everything" and similar advaita parroting. We all know that. It does not help at all to go deep in this subject.
  9. It is not about hours. I can have an excelent business idea, build the project this afternoon and start making money next week. Why not? And also I can spend 8h/day "working" doing non producting sutff for years as most people do. For health reasons the best I think is weak up early, work the first 6-8 hours of the day, then lunch and forget about job until the next day.
  10. What vipassana? I have been doing vipassana noting (seeing, hearing, feeling, thinking, smelling) for a while and 0 kudalini
  11. You are "speaking" in your head anyway so no, it is not useful, it could even be negative since you are more "in your head" and less present.
  12. Ask him about the relationship between the Absolute and ethics in relative world: ¿Is there good and bad in relative world? ¿why? ¿why should we do good and not bad actions? ¿is suffer good and not suffer bad? ¿why? from the pov of Absolute everything looks perfect so.. ¿good and bad are just illusions? It is actually one single question but I express it in several for you to understand my point. Thank you.
  13. make sense, thank you! I am also very inclined to awareness but I feel guilty to don´t put laser attention on the object and doubts about if I am doing the meditaiton correctly arise; but you says it is no problem so you give me relief
  14. With TMI I always have the doubt if I should focus hard on the object (stomach in my case) or be more relaxed into peripheral awareness and have the meditation object as a "second priority"; I experiencie the second one as more "mindufull" and the first one as most narrow and concentrate. The problem I find whit this system is that it does not specify the degree of attention you should put in the object so my meditation is mostly disturbed by my doubs about this trade-off between laser attention vs awareness. It spoils my meditation so I just prefere to practicse only concentration meditation or only mindulness meditation, but both togheter are a mess for me.
  15. I think flow has to be more with concentration rather than awareness (meditation has 2 components concetration and be aware, elightment is the second one but you new concentration skill to get there) for example when I am the zone doing pickup if feels more like concentration
  16. Well, maybe not all of us have that freak spiritual genetics and we need to fill the existential hunger with some ideas until we can have direct experience; I have been meditating hour and hours for years and I have not experience any major insight yet. As Leo said you always fill the gap with something, the methapisical question can´t be avoid. So yeah, ideas are important, let´s say I have an extrem nihlistic relativistic athetics cosmovision, probably it does not even make sense to me to meditate and it does not make sense to puruse any goal for me and I become depressed, meanwhile if I believe Being is God and Love, it probably give me strengh to be a good person and follow my spiritual path. I know it because I experience both during my life. Ideas and believes are very important -and cannot be avoided-; don´t despite them.
  17. When they talk about being = non being, relative=absolute, emptiness=form, I understand they are talking about non-dual stage (Wilber), or arahatness in buddhism, where the Absolute and the Relative are experience as the same, but this does not have methapisical implications nor is related with cessation. If Wilber talks about God and the Absolute I thinks it is because it make sense inside his philosophical system; it is an intelectual understanding, not an experience. He talks about Consicussness but also he admits he is able to enter into cessation during the brain waves stuff and there is no consciuss there, he does not explain this contradiction.
  18. You are wrong. Not all schools are equivalent, that´s too relativistic. You can make intersubjective studies and see that is possible to classify different phenomenology and different methapisics from differnet people and tradicions in a map of transpersonal development, that is what Ken Wilber did. And according to this map the therevada buddhists (at least those who reach nor being nor not being) are in the top of the spiritual develoment, why? becasue they already experience what I am God and I am consicussness people say (advaita guys for example) and went beyond that phases.
