  1. @Preety_India I honestly couldn’t agree more, my teachers say life begins when you are fully awakened and reach 1000. to me living life wouldn’t be using prana as my main energy as I’ll want to be out in the world building businesses, playing sports and most importantly having lots of fun. after all the reason we’re here is to be happy, I don’t see the need for all this denial to achieve certain states, maybe it works for Yogis who meditate all day in their caves but that isn’t my personal path! I just honestly don’t see it as viable for those of us who are active in the world personally.
  2. Recently come across the term breatharians, to me it seems very dangerous as it is mostly, even though I am vegan myself, the raw vegan stage Green types I notice in the comments praising this and talking about transitioning. Doing researched I noticed this has actually been a thing for decades with (no surprise) multiple deaths being reported by following a breatharians book who herself failed a 7 day challenge of no food/water under Doctor supervision. It also seems highly convenient modern day Breatharians have 10 day workshops costing $1000's to 'initiate' you into living off of the Prana (Ray Maor if you want to google him). There has also been reports of breatharians being seen coming out of fast food joints which is kinda funny, and most gurus have been exposed and caught nourishing their body with things other than good old Prana. However, there's a case of an Indian holy man who says he was touched by goddesses who told him he need not worry about food or drink anymore and supposedly hasn't eaten or drunk in years, but all he does is meditate all day. A lot of western breatharians consume liquid calories in the form of juices and similar things several times a week supposedly, but admit it would be impossible to live at a 'level 4 Breatharian' (supposedly your body makes its own water from your skin) in the western world. To me this seems like Bullshit, and taking advantage of those who have struggled with ED's in the past, or want a more 'spiritual' way of eating, however who knows like with everything there could be things to learn, as a society we consume far too much food hence the obesity crisis across the western world, but this seems like far too extreme in the other direction. Trying to stay open minded but to me it does seem like a fabrication of the truth, and a lot of these 'breatharians' will be consuming more calories than we are led to believe, it also screams HUGE deficiency problems to me, and more importantly the cases of people actually dying, but would love to know your guys inputs and if there's any breatharians round these parts. This has been debunked in a number of videos on YouTube, but who knows maybe in 200 years we will all live off of the Prana Videos from both sides:
  3. @iTommy potentially who knows, although is it optimum for human health? Most breatharians also eat a bit still. and Ray Maor lost 18lbs in his 8 day experiment, so he must eat some sort of food or he wouldn’t of lost 2lb a day if that was his norm?
  4. @pluto you didn’t really answer my questions regarding blood tests and making sure your body is running optimally. for example studies have shown starvation can actually begin to cause bliss states, so maybe that’s why these sort of practices have been associated with spirituality for so long?
  5. @Nickyy I believe exactly the same ngl. Like my understanding of the highest teachings is that this is it, there is no special state, it goes full circle but of course you understand you aren’t thebsmall I but the big I and pure natural awareness but you have your individuality, the best phrase I’ve heard is transcendental individuality. however not saying diet and nutrition isn’t important in personal development, I take nutrition very seriously and also go to the gym etc and play sport so diet is key, I just don’t think you have to eat a certain way for spiritual reasons. although the more compassion you develop maybe you will stop eating certain things, who knows.
  6. @Nickyy yes it may help. I’m not denying being healthy and living a healthy lifestyle makes the path much easier. My point is you don’t have to at all. Pure Natural Awareness is always here, now, no matter what you are doing, it’s just for the majority it is in the background. To me though this seems more about chasing states, and wanting to permanently “feel good” instead realising this is it now, this moment we are experiencing now is the whole teaching, there’s a reason Ramana said the highest teaching Is silence, and that transmissions have been used for centuries to help people, maybe breatharians can detox their body better or whatever, but it’s certainly not necessary to realise the truth of your being.
  7. @pluto I understand what you mean, but most enlightened teachers have repeatedly said enlightenment doesn’t mean you escape from the laws of physics and our body. It just seems strange that the majority of the most enlightened teachers over the last century haven’t been practicing this, hell most aren’t even vegan, and I don’t see how diet influences your access to the absolute. For example my teachers are certainly not breatharians or raw vegans yet are definitely at 1000. There is no difference in absolute terms between a guy meditating on the Himalayas using prana as energy, and a guy drinking beer watching football, they could both have the same understanding of reality. @pluto are you an athlete? Have you had your blood tests and other checks to see if your body is in good stead etc,l @Leo Gura am I just being closed minded with all this? I get it’s possible, but surely more teachers who are finished would be advocating this if it was true. Id love to know your input as I know you eat meat still, so are you less “spiritual” as a result of that then??
  8. @DrewNows fair enough but just be careful man. I follow a lot of plant based doctors who focus on holistic healing the body etc, and I’m not quite convinced raw food can satisfy all of our nutrient needs, maybe I’m wrong like I said, but I also feels it’s I credibly expensive and very biased towards certain macros. I also don’t think you have to be spiritual to have a yellow/ turquoise understanding, remember SD is a model of Psychological development not spiritual development wish you the best of luck!
  9. @DrewNows very little, is that the raw vegan guy you posted about in another post? Personally, I don’t subscribe to raw veganism I imagine it can work for some, but there’s a lot of cases where it leads to deficiencies and lots of health issues when done incorrectly, the same as normal veganism, I’m 90% sure I was B12 deficient for a long time which caused dersssion and fatigue for a while. I saw Vegan Gains/ Gojimans videos on fully raw kristina who did a video with that guy and he says stuff about the holocaust and seems quite into conspiracy theories, but hey he looks great for 65. by the way what diet/ way of eating do you currently subscribe to?
  10. @DrewNows I am not judging you or your decisions, I am attempting to analyse this way of life as I am always open to optimising my nutrition for my own goals and motivations in life. And yes Natural pure awareness which we are is infinite and has no needs, however as a body/mind (doesn’t exist in actuality I know but for convenience) we of course have needs. I am not denying this can perhaps be minimised through spiritual practices and utilising the Prana as Some Yogis choose to do, but whether this is optimum for human health is another discussion altogether. if this is your journey I wish you the best, just for the majority who live a highly active life I don’t honestly believe this is truly viable, maybe I’m wrong and I really could be, who knows. and I believe there is a difference between judging and taking skilful action and most importantly thinking for yourself.
  11. @Red-White-Light I agree and personally practice intermittent fasting, more strictly when on a cut in my training cycle. Apparently not, although it seems the ones eating the least are the Yogi's sitting in a cave all day, which is not my ideals in life, therefore it has little relevance to me. Most westerners who do this consume around 400-500 calories a day, maybe it works for them and if it does great, but it certainly doesn't make someone more spiritual, it's like me saying to my mates I'm more spiritual because I don't eat animals but you do... Personally, it's not something I'll prescribe to!
  12. The Return is like having your cake and eating it. You no longer have to starve yourself anymore. You can literally be yourself as an individual, call it transcendental individuality if you will, while simultaneously knowing you are the abolute and living from the 'big self,' knowing you are simply the absolute and believe me it is incredible while I am certainly not 'finished' yet, the peace that comes with living in a non dual level of awareness is unparalled. I no longer identify with my beliefs, I'm open to it being possible, but I see the term itself as quite misleading. Most breatharians still consume food, even if it's liquid it still has calories in it, and many were caught 'cheating' in the past, however I understand Yogi's could certainly do it if there whole life is sat around meditating all day, as you need hardly any energy for that. Even Ray Maor says this is very unlikely to be possible for someone engaged in life. So, from a standpoint of someone wanting to be engaged in conventional living, it seems quite unlikely this could work long term for athletes, businessman, people raising families etc, but I'm sure there will be exceptions and that it can work. Whether people can thrive on this diet is another matter, can I ask if Ray Maor was already practicing this beforehand why did he lose 17lbs in his 8 days without food and water? Sure you can survive, but can you thrive?
  13. @DrewNows I used those examples as you said 'the more spiritual you become' so I used some of most self-realized beings on the planet as examples of that being a very strange claim to make. When you say lost in the world, what do you mean? I would love to know your goals of this journey and your own awakening journey. I am not meaning to be pushy or rude at all, but am genuinely curious why you believe this has any connection with being 'more spiritual' as if one thing could be more like God than another, when everything is God, do you see how that makes no sense? Since all is God, and since there is no other, and everything is simply the Absolute how can something be more spiritual? 'Spiritual' is another concept/ belief, that like everything else must be dropped, if you ever wish to 'finish' on this pathless path. Yes, we are the awareness of this experience, but we are also everything in this experience as everything is simply a face of the absolute, this is it. There is no super spiritual realm you'll get to when you get enlightened, sure I'm sure from your fasting and practices you will have amazing 'states' you get into but at the end it all comes back to just this. This is it. I'm guessing you're familiar with the 10 Ox Pictures of Zen, and guess what happens in the 10th one....we return to the marketplace e.g. we return to the world (albeit self realized) to enjoy our life however we wish to, maybe that's using the Prana for energy or maybe that's eating cheeseburgers and watching seinfield re runs, but both, from an absolute sense, are as spiritual as each other I genuinely hope you find what you are looking for in this breatharian journey!
  14. @DrewNows I see your point, but saying things like 'the more spiritual you are' screams out Spiritual Ego. Please explain to me what diet actually has to do with realizing the absolute and realizing that this moment is truly all there is, for example Nisgadatta Maharaj smoked and sold Cigarettes, he's one of the recent enlightened masters of our times, yet since he ate and smoked cigarettes is he less self realized than you. To me, Diet is more of a self improvement concept than self realization. A carnivore can realize the absolute just as a raw vegan could. Think about the most self realized teachers of our time- Rupert Spira, Francis Lucille, Ramaji, Adyashanti.....none of them are breatharians. Awakening and embodying your enlightenment doesn't seem to correlate with becoming a breatharian to me, just because you eat or even eat meat doesn't mean you can't be self realized, this has been shown time and time again... Maybe breatharianism is great for your health and detoxifying the body, however saying this makes you 'more spiritual' seems like a clear case of spiritual ego, however I wish you the best of luck in terms of your health and really hope you don't severely damage yourself doing this. However just because you don't eat as much as someone else, it doesn't make you more spiritual than someone else, I'd really recommend reading some of the books on Leo's reading list such as 1000 to see the different depths to enlightenment, the guy who wrote that (Ramaji) is quite clearly a self realized being after being a seeker for 40+ years (not that that matters either) but isn't exactly the pinnacle of human health, anyways I wish you the best and truly hope you find what you're looking for on your journey whatever that is.
  15. @The Don YESSSS!!! The 10 Zen Pictures, the 10th and final one is returning to the marketplace (conventional life) with flowers under his feet, you won't have to go around spouting non-duality 24/7, infact unless your job or something revolves around it you'll likely rarely speak of it, once you are fully finished there is nothing left to do but go and enjoy life how you want to. But, that isn't to say there won't be hard and destructive times on the path, but you'll even be thankful for them after.
  16. You've picked awesome subjects you enjoy, well done man. Learn because you want to, do the essays to the best of your ability for the enjoyment of it, reach your full potential for the joy of doing your best. Integrate habits like meditation, reading and Healthy Eating/ Working Out into your daily routine, take it slow, there's no rush. But most importantly of all- ENJOY LIFE! We're here to be happy and enoy the ride, best of luck.
  17. Hey man, A Levels suggests you're in the UK as I am and I finished mine last year. I've been when you are and it's so fucking tough that stage of thinking everything is meaningless so you just do nothing, it's not that schoolwork is meaningless but in fact every thing is meaningless. So, then the question arises why do anything? Firstly, for the love of it, for example why does a footballer play football originally, or a painter paint, for the love of it. There's also then the reason we LIVE IN DUALITY in this realm, it goes full circle, you understand non-duality to realize we live in duality, and literally this is it. There isn't some transcendental fairground you'll get to when you become enlightened, you'll still need to shit and piss and your parents will still have a go at you if you don't do your homework. Also, another reason is, of course, Practical Reasons/ Survival. If you want any hope of getting a job when your older you're going to need those A Level qualifications, you'll have a tough time making a living teaching enlightenment (When you're fully done you'll realize there's nothing to teach, Hence why Ramana Maharshi said the greatest teaching is silence...) and Spiral Dynamics with little business knowledge and no real plan of how to market it.I'm not saying you can't do it but it'll be a lot harder than quitting school and watching the money roll in. School still has some value, for example Maths teaches us fundamental things about this duality we live in, and History shows us a lot of things that we can learn from as a society, so don't think everything except enlightenment is pointless, that's very reductionist. Enjoy duality man, there's no reason just because you had an experience or are maybe even living in non-dual consciousness that you can't crush conventional life, if you want to live in this realm you'll always need to take part in survival until you die. Congrats on the experience though, there is nothing better than living in Non-Duality after years of being imprisoned by the little I, but I can tell you're nowhere near finished and are still at the start of your journey so don't think now you are ready to go and teach everyone. If you haven't already read the book 1000, it goes over the depths of awakening and I think it will really help you with where you're at right now.
  18. @Display_Name An important metric for anyone wanting to become a dating coach imo, severely looked over in the industry for whatever unknown reason.
  19. When you 'finish' you'll realize it goes full circle. There won't be an 'ego' in the sense of the word you're using it as the I-thought is simply just that another thought. However you'll still have a personality, an enneagram type, food you like, your favorite movies etc and you'll still have thoughts. However they won't be 'your' thoughts, just thoughts that rise, do their thing, and then fall again. Think of it as kind of transcendental individuality, that's the best phrase I've heard on it.
  20. You're definitely right about Enlightenment being destructive. If you want to dive deeper into seeing just how destruvtive it is, look at Adyashanti's book 'The End of Your World.' After all, destroying years of beliefs and concepts about literally everything isn't for the faint hearted.
  21. @Shiva you say this ane he definitely has to for the majority of crowds due to being so mainstream, but in terms of his own knowledge it's certainly of the highest stead along with Rupert Spira, Francis Lucille, Adyashanti, Ramaji etc etc It's in the subtle things but you can definitely tell depths of understanding from different teachers, question- have you read 1000?
  22. @Joker Yes mate I finished school last summer and on my first hour after leaving purchased the course and got started, there's been a LOT of hiccups along the way, but I genuinely love what I do and the vision I have for the next 2-5 years. I probably can't post any links to courses/ people here, so if you want to learn more don't hesitate to PM me mate. I think I can share YouTube channels so the people I'd recommend is Jacob Rothenberg, Sean Dolwett, Tommy Kok and the Mikkselsen Twins although they are kind of out of date they have the best 'foundational' course out there imo.
  23. It's harder than it was 5 years ago, but that's like anything. I looked into Affliate Marketing years ago and like @Shiva says, having an audience is where you could make real money, look at YouTubers with millions of followers or 'Influencers' getting brand deals etc. I'm sure you could easily make $2000/ month but you'll need serious training and education, it won't be as easy as make a few posts and boom profit. How much money do you have to start a business?
  24. This is great advice. Also, check out Empire Flippers (where people sell their Online Businesses and I will eventually do that one day) You're better off starting something, 10k is certainly enough to get started with an online business like SMMA, Publishing or any of the other 100 options out there, look for one that appeals to you and you will be willing to put in hours upon hours, that's what I did and it's going well so far! Back to the Empire Flippers point, 10k would maybe get you a Biz making $500 a month if you're lucky, so it's kinda pointless. If you had $1M inheritance and wanting some cashflow, yeah great idea. I know someone who made $6k/ Month on average and sold it for $110k on Empire Flippers, so if you're looking to make money your best option is finding something you're interested in and starting it from the ground up and (Potentially) selling it in the future, in your situation buying one realky isn't an option. Like I said research your options, but don't just buy the first course you see on Amazon FBA, there's so many 'Gurus' out there who are excellent marketers but their products are far from excellent. Best of luck! P.S. You could easily turn 10k into a 2-3k a month business in 6 months or less if you worked extremely smart and hard, learned from people who actually want to help and actually take action which 99% of people don't do.
  25. @Haumea2018 Did you get to '1000' via their coaching/ RASA?
