  1. -- you need to be away from people and places where these things are linked and find new places and people where these things aren't --and take up a creative activity if you haven't already, making art, music or writing perhaps. etc etc These types of activities can replace some of this
  2. Your advanced meditation is let go of some of these food attachments. Little things are actually attached to big things I advise you buy a book on healthy diet immediately so you have a physical object on your table reminding you in detail of a better way. 1) do not always eat 4 meals eat when you are hungry 2) right now you are recording in writing what you are eating, so now using a book or website in eating healthily you need to write down some foods which are healthier in a meal plan (but you can do it n combination with your less healthy foods to make an easier transition) 3) the first meal is the most important one to eat as healthily as possible because this sets the tone for the rest of the day 4) the meditation is this, positive affirmation, 5 minutes of repetition in the form of a question and answer "Will I eat and begin to enjoy eating healthier foods ? Yes I will eat and begin to enjoy eating healthier foods" This has to be done every day. This is what you want and you need to train your subconscious animal mind and it responds to repetition. That is an advanced meditation dealing with a problem and accepting a solution on the subconscious level that responds to repetition. Your conscious mind says "yes I understand that why should I say it 50 times? " It is because the subconscious mind is like a wild animal and needs to be told over and over again to get it to gradually settle. The advanced part is introducing something you get pleasure from and transforming it, dealing with the addiction and transforming it to better habits through repetition 5) Your first meal was burnt bean water with animal fat, sugar, white flour, nuts and various Tim Horton's chemicals. So a better first meal does not have to be breakfast-like, don't worry about that. The trick is if it doesn't sound appealing just wait another hour before eating until the hunger builds. At this point it will be appealing. Overnight oats 1/3 cup of oats, two whole fruits finely chopped, a small handful of unsalted raw nuts or seeds, a tablespoon of yogurt, 1/4 cup of organic apple juice. Mix and let set overnight in a covered bowl in the refrigerator. Taste it you will probably like it. If not wait another hour, do something else in the meantime and by that time your hunger will make you like it Drink: hot or cold tea, no fruit juice, no coffee Replace soda with cold tea or sparkling water that has a fruit flavor but without the sugar. Soda is one of the worst things you can put in your body. You had two meals with chicken. Try to cut down the chicken and meat to one meal or none. think whole grain, beans, vegetables as the staples. Make sure this is on at least half of your plates and eat it first, then as transition the other half can be your usual Mcchicken crap. If you have the good with the bad on the same plate and you eat the good first it is going to train you to eat better rather than one meal being the healthy meal and the other being the unhealthy meal. The healthy pre-made meals are ok but they usually don't instill liking for fresh vegetables since they are often in frozen form. You need a steamer and try to find some particular fresh vegetable that you enjoy and build from there. The steaming method is healthiest and it's easy. Just put a dash of olive or advocado oil and salt and pepper on it afterwards or add Tabasco The trick is eat when you are hungry and if you are not just wait until you are. Every meal should have something healthy in it that you eat first. If that is too unpleasant go do something else for an hour, the hunger will build and it will become appealing. If you feel impulse to eat junk, don't eat for an hour. Then it will be easier to eat something healthy first rather than be particular to some binge fantasy food.
  3. Have you been in these situations where people are on the floor and some going into convulsive movements or other strong reactions or hallucinations ?
  4. Cory Booker's Baby Bonds vs. Andrew Yang's Universal Basic Income Cory Booker's Baby Bonds Booker’s plan would offer all newborns $1,000, a low-risk savings account managed by the Treasury Department and then add up to $2,000 annually for children in low-income households. By age 18, Booker’s team estimates that for kids from lowest-income families, the nest egg would average some $46,000. 3 percent estimated rate of return on account. The baby bonds idea isn’t new. British Prime Minister Tony Blair made the proposal a centerpiece of the Labour Party’s 2001 campaign, and his Chancellor Gordon Brown began implementing the plan in 2003, only to have the Conservatives cancel the accounts upon taking power in 2010. Hillary Clinton proposed a $5,000-at-birth baby bond in fall 2007 as part of her 2008 presidential bid, before abandoning the plan as the primaries dragged on. He also advocates raising the minimum wage to $15/hour. Andrew Yang's Universal Basic Income "The Freedom Dividend" Andrew would implement the Freedom Dividend, a universal basic income of $1,000/month, $12,000 a year, for every American adult over the age of 18. This is independent of one’s work status or any other factor. This would enable all Americans to pay their bills, educate themselves, start businesses, be more creative, stay healthy, relocate for work, spend time with their children, take care of loved ones, and have a real stake in the future. Other than regular increases to keep up the cost of living, any change to the Freedom Dividend would require a constitutional amendment. It will be illegal to lend or borrow against one’s Dividend. Young claims a Universal Basic Income at this level would permanently grow the economy by 12.56 to 13.10 percent—or about $2.5 trillion by 2025—and it would increase the labor force by 4.5 to 4.7 million people. Elizabeth Warren's Wealth Tax Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass) recently announced her proposal for a wealth tax, which would apply to Americans with more than $50 million in assets. The tax, which Warren refers to as the "Ultra-Millionaire Tax," would raise $2.75 trillion over a 10-year period, according to economist Emmanuel Saez. Here's how it would work. Americans with $50 million or more in assets would be assessed a 2% annual wealth tax, while those with $1 billion in assets or more would be assessed a 3% rate. The plan would also increase funding to the IRS to help combat tax evasion, especially by the wealthy, and would also provide for a one-time tax penalty on people who renounce their U.S. citizenship in order to avoid paying the wealth tax. "used to build an economy that works for everyone, including universal childcare, student loan debt relief, and down payments on a Green New Deal and Medicare for All. And we can make a historic investment in housing that would bring down rents by 10% across America and create 1.5 million new jobs." _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ The plans are actually quite different. Notably, Cory Booker's plan is more modest, relatively easier to pass and oriented towards newborns $1,000 per year with yearly increases (apparently up to 18?) and the yearly increases up to $2000 based on family income. This variation is designed to reduce the income gap. I haven't seen further detail, I am not sure how long it would take for the child or parents to be able to draw money out of the account Yang's proposal $1,000/month, $12,000 a year, for every American adult over the age of 18 is designed to to grow the economy and counteract future automation of jobs. Nevertheless this is very hypothetical at this point with Booker and Yang far down in the polls
  5. One cooking method I often use is steaming in a large Chinese steel steamer. before it's finished cooking I heat up a frying pan, put some oil in and add spice and sometimes crushed garlic or fresh ginger, cooking the spice medium low for a minute or so. Then add the steamed food into the frying pan and cook for a couple of minutes. However if you don't want to do this you could start buying pre-prepared food from a healthfood store, that you just need to heat up Amy's is one of many brands that does a good job on these items. If not you subscribe to a service that delivers these items to you on a regular basis. About the mediation had the wrong impression you were a newbie it but I see that you are not, it was the advanced meditation you were speaking of
  6. I was thinking that same thing. Maybe both plans could be combined into one with the amounts adjusted into one ness
  7. If you were to do a breathing technique that produced hallucinations would that be physiological ?
  8. Can you please describe your understanding of the not so big difference between the Hoff method and Holotropical breathwork ?
  9. The Wim Hoff method is inspired from Tibetan techniques
  10. Bloomberg is now considering joining the race, the front runner is BIden I haven't reviewed Bloomberg positions closely but he seems like he would be similar to Biden . At this point he is known for being a gun control advocate and somewhat concerned about climate issues. Biden seems to be the front runner at the moment but the candidates are close. Bloomberg's personality seems slightly less annoying to me than Biden's and I predict Biden would win but it could be very close. I think Bloomberg would have to add more nationally relevant issues in addition to gun control. He does have huge financial resources as well owns a large media company
  11. Who do you think is second best after Sanders and capable of beating Trump?
  12. very few people have taken ibogaine it so you will probably not get a first hand account. The effects can last for days The primary effects of 5-MeO-DMT last approximately 5-20 minutes when smoked, 30-45 minutes when insufflated. For many people there is an additional period of time (1-2 hrs) before fully returning to baseline. These differences in duration are important considerations ____________________________________ Fatalities have been associated with the use of ibogaine; concomitant opioid use and comorbidities (eg, cardiovascular disease, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety, stress, schizophrenia, epilepsy, or other imbalances in the autonomic nervous system) increase the risk of life-threatening complications including sudden cardiac death. Ibogaine should only be used under the supervision of an experienced health care provider. Mild acute effects occur frequently and include nausea, vomiting, ataxia, tremors, headaches, and mental confusion. Manic episodes lasting 1 to 2 weeks have also been reported and manifested as sleeplessness, irritability, impulsivity, emotional lability, grandiose delusions, rapid tangential speech, aggressive behavior, and suicidal ideation. __________________________________ Because of the somewhat unpredictable nature of 5-MeO-DMT, a sitter is definitely recommended. 5-MEO-DMT is more potent than DMT, and may also cause stronger side effects. There are not many studies on it compared to the very different DMT (despite the same name part)
  13. the only way to do it properly it is to be in situations where you are physically present with other people with different perspectives interacting with them or at minimum listening to them.
  14. you need a very basic book on a healthy diet , not something exotic or overly complicated Something for ideas and that you leave out on the table to physically remind you. And then begin to transition gradually . On a plate make half good stuff and half you regular stuff. Eat the good stuff first (use this mindset for everything) At the same time meditation will help you but it is not directly related to diet and having a good diet is not a prerequisite to mediation. That would be an excuse not to do it. Meditation is more of a prerequisite for eating properly than the reverse. starts small, 5 minutes in the morning 5 minutes at night, eyes closed sitting silently and still, at the same times of day and night each time Don't expect anything mystical just get used to the physical routine it. Don't will anything to happen just observe your thoughts as they come to you and go. If a thought comes, wait until it passes. You can worry about it later this is just 5 minutes. It isn't directly attached to diet. Anybody can do 5 minutes. Do that for a week and then increase to 7 minutes. The persistence is what is important. As for diet you can learn more cooking techniques., eating out or ordering food in is more conducive to eating poorly
  15. People you think are "normal" can have private sides to them you might not know about or a stronger vulnerability to psychosis if stressed in particular ways that you might not find stressful. And in this situation LSD lasts a a long time so it prolongs these adverse reactions. If he had meditation practice under his belt it may have helped. Or not
  16. If you want to take that route, enlightenment is an illusion
  17. Please quote exactly Alan Watts or list the video title so we can hear is exact words This calls to mind two recent threads _______________________________________ TOPIC Please help me understand Alan Watts later years and death ... My understanding is that Alan Watts became an alcoholic (along with his wife), and became quite depressed on his later years, dying of heart ... ___________________________________ I can no longer find this recent thread. Either it was deleted or is hidden if I am not mistaken, Anyway my comment there was the effect was that Alan Watts was a great speaker and eloquent writer but he did not practice the spiritual disciplines he spoke of enough to escape dying at 58, stressed out and attached to alcohol and cigarettes. So we have to look at what he said as coming from a man who only practiced some of what he preached. He called himself a "philosophical entertainer", I would add also a social critic. He is one of the great orators of the 20th century in my opinion, carved out his own niche and was gifted with a beautiful voice. He did not dedicate to being a monk for at least several years to have the first hand experience to attribute being enlightened as per Zen and other traditions he spoke of and then to call it something only certain people are born with or ordained by some force to have However other thread is this other thread accounts for people who came, in part from outside of traditional methods ____________________________________________ This is my thread and it also includes similar accounts on video of claimed enlightenment experiences of Eckhart Tolle Adyashanti Mooji: Rupert Spira Sadhguru Some of these are men who claim to have awakened of become enlightened spontaneously not even having studied spirituality or practiced it beforehand So how can we know if they were actually enlightened or not? We cannot know, nor can we know if enlightenment is more than a feeling, behavior and proclamation. What if a person has a sudden overwhelming feeling of oneness? Are they enlightened? Some of these famous speakers are perceived by huge numbers of people to have been enlightened yet some did not put in a monk-like dedication to practice. Yet some monks have been dedicated to the practice and spiritual disciplines since having been children and many of them might not be interesting to listen to or be considered to be enlightened. It is wiser to not seek an answer to this question. Continue to vibrate on your higher frequency. Know one knows what may come to you mystical experiences do not only come to the enlightened but some of them are only interesting moments not things to cling to What counts is persistence and compassion for the self and others That is greater than mystical experiences
  18. That might be an opinion of more weight if there was any data behind it. 19. The obvious solution to integrating the content of this channel is to is to sing about meteorology. Whatever city or town you're in, do a daily song that reports the weather and additional songs with meteorological topics. That would perfectly express oneness and make the actualized community proud Do judge this right now, sleep on it
