  1. @Natasha mischievous sounds about right... ?
  2. It's not like people don't hate themselves, though... So from that perspective, just to say that everything is you still doesn't really mean anything.
  3. Life is a joke and we're the punchline ?‍♂️
  4. @mandyjw ? ? ? (never thought I'd take it as a good sign when a girl calls me creepy )
  5. Was gonna bet on tea and biscuits ? One of these days I will be right ?
  6. @VerballyHazardous There seem to be a few replies here from people who are able to understand from first hand experience how you feel and how it affects you. That includes me. Recommend that you don't waste your time and energy trying to apologize or defend yourself against others who don't or can't understand. That's the last thing you need. Forget them, they're not important, you are. Focus only on things that help you. For what it's worth, it may help for you to understand that your rage is a natural response to pain. It's your body that reacts this way, and it reacts to repressed emotional pain at least as much as physical pain (because there is actually no difference). Any hurt organism would react the same way if the conditions are there. When you understand how this works, you can find a more appropriate way of venting it without creating more problems, and not have to guilt yourself over it (which only adds to the pain and represses the anger). We both know that you love your pets, and we also both know that you can't push down the rage when it needs to come out. So think of any number of alternatives that you can come up with, and have them ready. You won't need it forever, but for now you do.
  7. lol just noticed this thread is yet another necro....
  8. I know it doesn't sound as spectacular or "special" as one might have hoped...
  9. In the sense that drama, not physics, is its most essential feature. In the same way that a theater play is a dramatic event. Or indeed a movie. Drama in the broadest sense of the word. As in the hero's journey. You don't go watch a movie for the atoms and gravity and electromagnetic forces, it's about the drama. That's the only reason for any of this. That's what life is. The illusion of physicality is just there to facilitate that. It's the sandbox in which to play. It's not about the sand, it's about the play. So it's not the senses that matter, but the pattern of the story and characters that they convey. If you want to recontextualize the visual field, that's how you do it, i.e. by realizing that it's secondary to what's really going on here.
  10. @Javfly33 Remember, our reality is not a physical event, it's a dramatic event.
  11. Vision gets a lot of importance placed on it because it happens to be such a dominant sense for us humans. But in and of itself, it has no particular importance at all. It just seems to be the main "window" into our "environment", but that's the lie. If we have an environment, it's energetic, and if we have a window into it, it is somatic (i.e. feeling and body-awareness). Also the role of vision in real life is more like the role of the visuals of a movie. The real meat of a movie is in the characters and story arc (or rather the pattern underlying both). The visuals and audio are really just vehicles for conveying that. They are the medium, not what's essential. The same story/characters/pattern of a movie could be conveyed in a book, a board game, a campfire story, or whatever other medium you might imagine. So the medium is secondary to the actual thing being conveyed, and the actual thing being conveyed is the deeper "reality" underlying the medium. It's the same with real life. The senses are the medium, but you see the deeper reality underlying it independently of the senses/medium. The senses/medium are just there to convey the underlying pattern. There is a thread here about whether or not we can see without eyes. The answer is yes. The senses are secondary to the real "seeing". And when "awake people" talk about the blindness/unconsciousness of the masses, this is what they mean. Not superhuman senses or superhuman states of consciousness or extra-sensory perception. They are all as irrelevant as any other medium.
  12. Thanks for the report ? What would be your top 3 tips for taking care of the body?
  13. Yah I believe you, and that's why I won't do it ? Anyway, I'm not quite convinced that there is any difference between energy and states of consciousness. But I wouldn't know how that figures into being a rock ?‍♂️ so I guess I'll have to revisit this if/when I'm out of my current state...
  14. Not sure how you mean that then, because seems to me there is only consciousness and energy, where energy is just "modulated" consciousness. Which is what creates the appearance of distortions incuding all egoic contraction/fear/resistance. It's all the same energy, and the only remedy to that is to release it i.e. surrender. When the energetic distortions are released, what more could possibly remain? As for the rock, insofar as we can say it may be conscious at all, it surely wouldn't be self-(reflectively) conscious. Absence of (re-)cognition doesn't necessarily mean absence of consciousness. And if it is conscious at all, it probably wouldn't have an energy system, so no energetic distortions and no states of consciousness, which means it would have to be infinitely conscious even without the ability to (re-)cognize it.
  15. The way I see it, surrender goes a lot deeper than the "present moment" thingy (although it's all the same really). Surrender extends naturally to the release of contraction, which means release of ego and expansion of consciousness. Such that to surrender your life completely means to fully "become" infinite consciousness. As you say here: Of course that's probably not how it is commonly understood. But surrender remains the single most relevant thing for waking up, even for someone who doesn't yet grok the full ramifications of it. And I think is equivalent to self-love (love releases resistance, surrender releases resistance, resistance being ego/contraction/fear). So they are equally fundamental since they are basically the same thing.
  16. To baldly go where no one has gone before! ?
  17. @AlwaysJoggin Tread carefully with that, make sure you don't create unnecessary or irreversible trouble for yourself when talking about this stuff.
  18. Thanks for sharing ? My guess is that maybe you just emphasize one side too much or repress the other side. Probably true of everyone. Both sides are already in us, we just need to drop any artificiality about it, that's all.
