@Nivsch For example, bias towards the media you call true or false. How would you know? How do you know there isn’t an Israeli propaganda machine and the west is simply observing what is happening, with a humanitarian bias? How do you know for sure? Of course this is more nuanced, but try to grasp the kernel I point at. How do you know the things you were taught in school were even true and not deeply riddled with survival bias? It is I Canada and the US. Why not in Israel?

Yes, you could misuse it that way. You could, someone else could. But, you also have biases that are deeply obvious to others which you can’t see or refuse to look at.

For example, this video here: this type of media is very different perspective than what the west shows. Which, makes sense . My favourite part was when they show a Palestinian woman in front of all this rubble claiming she thanked the Israeli military for destroying Hamas. That makes me wonder 😂

Supposedly Palestine was a metropolitan area before with a rich and diverse culture before it was occupied by Israel 70 years ago or what have you. Again, as was Canada and the US, both of these countries have blood on their hands when it comes to the destruction of indigenous populations and their rich cultures. However, the history of Israel and the land surrounding it is something i know little of.

No. Most people were against the Hamas attacks. My views is most people in most nations want most humans to live free of fear of death, free of fear, and to live safely. That is my wish that Israel is a safe place to live and that Israeli’s are safe. The killing, destruction and suffering implemented that Israel has done to Palestinians is disproportionate. Most people in most nations are against murdering, killing and genocide of innocent people. People are generally against the killing of innocent people regardless of their nationality. People see what Israel is doing to HUMAN lives. People don’t want child, women, and non- militant men to starve to death, be shot, bombed and murdered. People want international law to be followed. It has nothing to do with viewing them as a lesser form of human. That’s what Israel is doing when they shoot and bomb indiscriminately based on the videos and photos.

List out your epistemically responsible list of 10-15 interpretations. Notice how many interpretations exist in this thread alone and add them to this list as if they are your own. Steele man different sides. Review a large body of sources and different perspectives. Compare different perspectives in an unbiased and balanced way. Be honest when you don’t know. Be honest when your survival needs distort truth. Self reflect on your biases and the biases of your tribe. Study how humans work as individuals and as collectives. Put yourself in others people’s shoes and really try to see from their perspective. Question yourself, your world view, your biases, your emotions, your triggers, your assumptions, etc Take nothing anyone says at face value. Allow what is true to unfold as you focus on clarity and accurate perception. Study how conflict works, triangulation, demonization, intention vs result vs interpretation, Question and study how your mind works. Question your own hypocrisy, self deception, lying, acting to know when you don’t know. What are your values? What is War? What is truthful vs untruthful media? What is genocide? What is self défense? How do we deal with ambiguity in conflict as to who to right and who is wrong?

I honestly don’t know. But, I am not going to believe you over another source. I will continue to observe the different perspectives. I will disregard and claims as I am still sorting through it all and don’t have the time to commit to full grasping it all.

Genocide is genocide, whatever your backstory as to why you are doing. I love the Jewish people. But, I am biased against genocide. My understanding is that Jews are NOT currently at risk of genocide. But, are committing one, or at least killing and starving a lot of innocent people. (Correction: Not the Jews, but is Israeli government) The survival concerns between Israel and Palestine is more complex than I understand.
