Thought Art replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Remember to be kind, and allow yourself to question your interpretations of things. Being open and closed in a calm cool way. Realize this is a thread about conflict, so some degree of disagreement, different interpretations, confusion, etc is normal. As long as we remain relatively kind and respectful to each other given the nature of conflict things are going well here. -

My main take aways of Ram Dass work is the importance of love, embracing old age and dying, dealing with suffering, the complexity of family life, and his down to earth way of making you feel like he is lovingly going through the same as you are. -

I can easily say the same thing about the belief you aren’t God. Yet, here I am existing… I am not saying a, belief but that’s fine if you choose to interpret it that way. i think a lot of us has facets of what God is. Remember the elephant and the 5 blind men. Remember, the truth is what you are. Hello, look at your hands… the hands of God. God fills all things. All things are God. God is not sitting outside of itself. Yes, God is in a constructed way as a human, but it’s still God. God = Being = Consciousness = Truth = Actuality = what is the case = Now = this Like, saying a castle is bricks. It’s a castle, but it’s still bricks. -

Reading the book Cosmic Nutrition by Mantak Chia found this quote ”The Oneness (Wu Chi) splits and becomes two. These two are the poles and energies of yin and Yang. They emerge continuously from this point within the expanse of infinity as a result of the endless movement within the primal sea. By their combination and interplay, the yin and Yang give rise to all forms that inhabit the world of the relative universe. Thus, all antagonistic complimentary dualisms of the phenomenal world are but the two faces of the front and the back of one ultimate reality”. Wow, Chinese medicine has quite the epistemic foundation.

Quote from “Be as you Are” By David Godman and Ramana Maharshi “The Self This is the term that he used the most frequently. He defined it by saying that the real Self or real “I” is, contrary to perceptible experience, not an experience of individuality but a non-personal, all inclusive awareness. It is not to be confused with the individual self which he said was essentially non-existent, being a fabrication of the mind which obscures the true experience of the real Self. He maintained that the Self is always present and always experienced but he emphasized that one is only consciously aware of it as it really is when the self-limiting tendencies of the mind have ceased. Permanent and continuous Self awareness is known as Self-Realization”

Non-duality is very paradoxical How is it I can reach that state and then time is real? Or it continues. This I find a miracle

@BlueOak Right, no. I think you’re not understanding what I am saying. Buck stops with you. God is the only being in existence. It is consciousness and consciousness can be aware of what it is. It’s not personal, but it’s absolute. I am not talking about identifying as an ego… but the ground of reality itself. The fundamental truth, the Tao, Infinity. It’s you. Like, here you are existing imaging God as something other than existence. That’s insanity. Ramana Maharshi for example speaks of the three normal states we exist as… Waking, sleeping and dreaming. What I am pointing to is the stateless state which is true under all circumstances at all times regardless if anything ever. -

@ivankiss You are it. It’s a God “I” a universal “Self”. There are Enlightened people, as far as the dream is concerned. You are It. When you aren’t there and only God is there then what is the case is God. Therefore, it’s you. Sneaky little dualist here. There is no actual difference between you and God except what you’re imagining -
@Schizophonia If someone is developing and working on a meaningful life we can act in a way to nourish them, and nourish the community.

Self Is. All is SELF. All is God. Saying “finite” isn’t God is retarded. Until you grasp that, you are lost in the labyrinth of your own mind when it comes to understanding Truth (Absolute Truth vs Relative Truth) and understanding what God is. Saying you are not God, is like saying What IS ISN’T Which is false, and the only person saying they are not God IS is-ing, IS God. -

@Squeekytoy Or maybe you are just self deceived? How would you know? You don’t know. If you don’t know say you don’t know. Not knowing is better than knowing most of the time. I’ve come to my own conclusions on this. The problem is when you look around the room, at the wall, at your hands you think it’s just regularly ol’ finite reality. Instead of realizing that it’s all actually infinity and God right here right now. The problem is you lack the awakenings, the insights the contemplations, the direct experience, the neuro connections, etc Regular Ol’ mundane reality is God. It’s hiding in plain sight. You’ve created an image of God as being some “other” or “specific” or “out there” or “Infinite not finite”, all of this is bullshit. You want GOD? Look at your fucking hands and stop dreaming. Your hands are the hands of God. Your hands are actually infinite. How many cells in your hands? How many atoms? How many building blocks of the atoms? And down to an infinite degree you realize that you are God. How many things can you do with your hands? Knowing you are God, and appreciating the miracle of life is no contest. It’s a very personal endeavour. It’s challenging, is scary it’s confusing, it’s difficult, you need to be thorough and strong and say “No” when reading other people’s bulllshit. I am extremely humble at reality. There are many facts yet to discover and much growth for me to have in the finite domain. But, God has total knowledge of itself and can awaken to this fundamental truth, while still being finite. It’s paradoxical. If you want to know what is true YOU have to do the work instead of being lazy little whiners and poopoo ers. All of this is very subtle but also very profound. You guys are just being lazy in my opinion. -
@trenton Well, you love chess. Why not build some kind of career around it regardless? Are you competing in tournaments regularly? Are you hanging out with other chess players?

@ivankiss Oh Yeah? Well glad I am not some push over who listened to the likes of you. Because I am God, and I have realized this. The realization is ever unfolding. -
Question if the day: What does it mean to nourish? Nourish the body, the mind the spirit. Nourish industry, community, friendships, relationships, marriages, healing, etc
