@Michael569 ye I always feel this video puts the respective contributions of different countries in WW2 into perspective

I think it could be. I think it won't necessarily cure ADD, if you do indeed actually have ADD (sometimes I think its a misdiagnosis). However, I think it could be an effective way of dealing with some aspects of the trauma that I think many with ADD experience in their lives, i.e. due to having their neurodivergence mistaken for character defects such as laziness. That said, I think it would be worth taking the time to try to understand whether you are currently in the right place to be able to get results from psychedelics.

@Vrubel You field reporting broski?

@Illusory Self Personally, I think getting started with DBT therapy (i.e. get a workbook on it) and watching videos by someone like Patrick teahan could be a great start. Later down the road I think something like IFS could be great. I think its important to do some sort of depth psychotherapy at some point, to really get at the root of the issue, and IFS is an example of this. Imo, tho I'd recommend experimenting with a few of the different types of therapies, i.e. emdr, polyvagal, gestalt, humanistic, etc, and seeing what you find gets you the results that you want. It might be that IFS isn't a good fit for you, and maybe gestalt therapy is, or psychodynamic therapy is.

Sounds to me like you might just be at stage green, and also are projecting your emotions a lot

@ThePoint Also I note how you said you don't ever feel satiated no matter how much you eat. Have you ever heard of 'abandonment melange'. There's a psychotherapist called Pete Walker who termed it. Its a feeling that is common among child abuse survivors, and often is thought by said survivors to be a feeling of hunger. It apparently feels v similar to hunger but is actually, to my understanding, a feeling of deep abandonment. Are you certain that its gut health that is the cause of your issues?
-
Ah I understand bro. So, to my mind, you can approach the issue by trying to : 1) Reduce the intensity you feel off, 2) Reduce the frequency you feel off, or 3) change the way you act when you feel off. You could give these resources a go, I think they might help all three, and also are, to my mind, quite easy to use. https://www.uofmhealth.org/health-library/uz2225

Shout out to my homies who don't even know how to post GIFs

@ThePoint I'd recommend experimenting strategically. I.e. what happened on day 7 just before you relapsed. What do you think the trigger was? What could you do in future that might help you? Imo, its all data.

@Soulbass What did you find different about it personally?

I'd recommend being wary of advice from neurotypical folk on adhd things. I'm sometimes astounded by the arrogance. Re when to take the drugs, I'd say experiment around with it, and see what you like. Maybe get an ADHD coach to help you.

@asifarahim I'd probably go on your own search for a new forum. If you don't like the perspectives here, then I don't think it would be useful to follow a perspective here on where else to go. I think it will still be biased towards the views associated with actualized.org.

@Turtlelover577 Maybe you could do with learning how to learn, i.e. concepts like habits building and deliberate practice. Also, maybe you have unconscious barriers to doing what you intuitively desire.

AI depth psychotherapy

I don't think you could. @Girzo Chill out with the language

Great stuff dude!

@StarStruck I'd disagree on the first point. And the second point i think you are partially correct. Tho i disagree that you can learn the most from people you demonise.

@StarStruck I don't mind his orange, its his red (women as property) that I don't like and I think we need to careful about.

@Space The oracle has spoken

Lmao I found that vid partially reassuring actually. I thought analytic philosophers were difficult until I started trying to read some continental philosophers. I found the latter absolutely nuts to try and understand in the most part - a lot of jargon.

@Raze I think that perspective may have some truth to it from an economic standpoint. However, I think your comment here presents a bit of a naive perspective. I don't think your opinion here or Musk's approach understands the systemic nature of a place twitter. Imo opening twitter up for discussion in a way that doesn't have serious negative consequences, i.e. making the platform abusive, breeding hate crimes IRL, would be a complex, nuanced task, which I don't think Musk understands, and I see no acknowledgment of in your comment. In a way, I'm deeply worried that Musk doesn't understand what he's got himself into, and think its not unlikely that his leadership will cause a lot of harm to a lot of vulnerable folks, including the deaths of quite a few.
