@spiritual memes I like the topic dude! And I always laugh at your profile picture ?. I think the answer would differ according to context. Speaking on the academic context, overall I think folks are likely becoming more spiritual, or perhaps closer to being spiritual. I think relativism lends itself to that, and my understanding is that relativism is popular and growing in academia. Though perhaps in some disciplines, such as Law, I don't think its as prevalent as before. Though, I think that could be to do with an expected backlash against the relativism of the 20th century and so relativism could still be on the rise in these subjects, in a big picture sense. Relativism is something that lends itself to spiritualism, and coming closer to spiritual views, imo. But is not spiritual in of itself. That said, what the fuck spiritual actually means is, imo, going to just be, from a logical standpoint, arbitrarily decided.

@universe I get your pov regarding actualized.org and depression. The issue for me is where else should people with depression go? People with deep mental health issues, imo, resonate on a level of consciousness that is very easily manipulated by all sorts of exploitative bad actors. If folks with depression leave actualized, they may end up in a darker place. Out of the frying pan and into the fire as they say.

I think you are representing a partial truth as a full truth. So I think there is validity but also invalidity to your view. Imo, depression can also come from trauma, i.e. you get home invaded, then get depressed. And that might actually be out of desire, i.e. out of desire for you to not experience malevolence again.

Imo, you would get value from the following. - Getting a new sense of what are and aren't healthy boundaries. (When I say no I feel guilty is a useful book imo) - Get a new understanding of what counts as abuse (Dr Ramani is a useful resource for this, imo) - Doing inner work such that your attachment style shifts to a secure attachment. Imo, you are currently in an attachment style that makes you attach to people like your father, i.e. narcissists. So, until you change it you will continue to be attracted to this type of man. And if you don't address this you can and likely will get into the cycle of continuously having relationships with thee kinds of men and you'll maybe wonder why you are so 'unlucky' in love. If you switch to secure you'll generally automatically be attracted to people with secure attachment styles. Depth psychotherapy would be my recommendation for making this switch. - Get an understanding of cluster-b folks and how to deal with them and spot them Dr Ramani is a useful resource imo.

@Zeroguy I don't think it can all be put down to Nahm being kicked. Its certainly a possibility, and I imagine it improved things round here. I think he was a case of someone who focused on eastern wisdom without enough focus on western psychology. I think he likely had some unconscious drive towards maintaining an internal narrative of power and superiority. I think he could have had a lot of value to give, and also would have a better quality of life himself if he had integrated the two.

@StarStruck I really like the way he maps out all the different stages of energy, as well as ideas about how to jump between different energy levels. Its pretty cool to me the idea that something like Apathy can actually be a really positive thing to promote folks to resonate with, i.e. if they resonate with shame usually. In comparison to LOC, presuming by LOC you mean David Hawkin's Level of consciousness stuff, I haven't really compared them in my mind yet. I haven't gone through power vs force, only letting go by Hawkins, which I understand isn't as in-depth as Power vs Force regarding energy levels. Have you got an opinion on Dodson?

You have to meet people where they are at and then walk then up the staircase of self actualisation, imo. Relationship content isn't going to resonate with the same people as pick up will.

I want to watch a TV series or movie in which you have a character who is consumed by jealousy. Preferably the film/ tv series would show a narration of their inner monologue but not mandatory. I want to sit with the emotions that come up.
