  1. This is an interesting topic.
  2. IMO they are creatively dull, really hard to get fulfillment just crunching numbers, trying to meet quotas, trying to close a sale. Shoot higher, contemplate what brings you the most joy.
  3. This would be a super interesting video indeed. Would imagine it being similar to the Quantum Mechanics, Derrida, Incompleteness Theorem episodes.
  4. This shit is better than half of the stand up comedy specials on netflix
  5. Starch is a great addition to the diet but not the foundation to a diet. Thats a swing and a miss. Protein (amino acids) is the most essential thing your body needs, then healthy fat sources, then you can introduce carbs in the picture.
  6. Psyched Substance 2 years from now: "Combining DMT with Heroine"
  7. Beans and Legumes are the most calorie dense, but they are packed with nutrients, making them a good option if you are active and you aren't over eating for you energy demands. Potatoes/Sweet Potatoes/Squash are slightly less calorie dense than bread but are good options for energy. Oats are a great carb source as well.
  8. Never done one myself, but apparently coffee enemas are very cleansing for your liver. It can be addictive though, in fact it was on an episode of "my strange addiction" where this couple, both husband and wife were addicted to taking multiple coffee enemas every single day and even their teenage son living with them told them they were addicts and needed to stop. This is probably extreme, as with most of the stuff on that show, but it seems like the caffeine effects may hit harder and be more enjoyable that way.
  9. Evil from your egos point of view. The trying to stop evil just perpetuates evil, thats the whole lesson here. Turn inward.
  10. Much respect to Minhaj, this video is also hilarious
  11. I'm talking going full-"blown" Neale Donald Walsh between the sheets
  12. Well yeah, beyond the things that can be intuited, all that is stuff you have to talk about. Unless infinite intelligence has got your back in the bedroom.
  13. Always blows me away that sex is such a basic need on the bottom of the pyramid with all the the demonization and disownment going on and that has been for ages.
  14. Theres a spectrum of hair pulling and ass-slapping. If you feel into it based on your rapport with your female partner, her personality, behaviors, innuendos, ect you can pretty much know. Thats not to say you guess or assume that you can go straight into hard ass slapping (if you were even into that), you play as conservatively as you can. You only do it when its apparent. And when its apparent, its apparent, and this is always staying within reasonable bounds and respectful. If a girl didn't want to be slapped on the ass there would be no ass slapping unless the guy is refusing to read the signs. And if signs are misread, the guy listens to the girl and stops. Its not like she just got raped or violated because a guy slapped her ass with a sub-harmful level of force because things were giving hot and heavy. If the guy doesn't stop, then thats a separate problem. Not that big of an issue if you tap into your intuition, don't go overboard and respect your partner.
  15. @Jahmaine Finally, a fellow non-trial seeker on here. Lets do a meet up
  16. Deep down you already know where that line is, unless your sexuality has been warped by porn and the lines are blurred I guess.
  17. Both sugar and trans fat will cause diabetes and are likely to be found in the similar types of low quality food habits. A person who develops diabetes based on their food choices and life style will most always be consuming high amounts of processed sugar and low quality fats (which maybe aren't necessarily trans fats, but their saturated fat intake is probably too high) so the "low sugar-high trans fat" option doesn't exist. Cant think of any scenario where a person is keeping their blood sugar in check (which takes conscious eating habits) but is somehow consuming tons of trans fat.
  18. The frying with shitty heat-damaged oils is much worse for your body than sugar, which most people don't realize. That being said, fries are a simple fast digesting carbohydrate, they spike your blood sugar quickly and hardly provide any nutrients.
  19. Your critique on enlightenment being taken too seriously is like saying anything which people want to take seriously themselves is being taken too seriously. There is no should/shouldn't or right/wrong being preached about reaching enlightenment. Its the opposite of that. Its a matter of personal desire, nothing being forced down anyones throat. You make a lot of claims on the effects of the teachings on the listeners, which is pure conjecture, jumping to conclusions. Have you witnesses any of this first hand? How many people do you know in real life that follow actualized.org are experiencing these negative life consequences? Again, there is no "how you must act". A clear theme of consciousness work is "you can do whatever the hell you want". This is even overstated, that there is nothing "wrong" being a devil or ignorant. The only reason you take the work up is out of personal desire, not because you are being told this is the objectively right thing to do. How many times has it been said that the map is not the territory, Leos teaching is pointing to something bigger, not his teachings themselves. Duality is not considered inferior to non duality. They are equal from the absolute perspective. Its about raising consciousness to a higher vantage point. Zooming out to get the bigger picture. Speaking for myself, my life has improved dramatically, I have never been as fulfilled since I've started doing this work. If you don't get that out of it, no one is forcing you to stay, your energy writing critique articles could serve you better elsewhere.
  20. @Raptorsin7 I started off doing mindfulness meditation, then transitioned into kriya yoga. Now I still do kriya yoga, but mainly my own spin on the breathwork techniques and visualizations. It was getting really technical for me to follow the exact lessons and I wanted to use my spiritual practice to "let go" more, so I merge meditation and kriya into one. Recently started focusing on contemplation more. Since I started reading Peter Ralstons work, I've been trying to tap into a "state of not knowing" trying to free myself of any beliefs about my direct experience, and comfortably sit there to get authentic insights. I like doing that now while I'm driving, instead of listening to music or podcasts all the time, it gets me in a flow state of being.
  21. This type of commentary in regards to salvia I find very rare on youtube, uploaded all the way back in 2014. Highly interesting how the insights he describes fits in with non-duality and actualized.org, before he knew about spirituality. Not recommending people go do salvia over classic psychedelics, but its evident it can be of use to some people if done properly.
  22. You have to start somewhere when you set out for truth. Of course a belief has to be taken, but lightly. This has been addressed multiple times.
  23. This is cool. During the same inhalation/exhalation/ r no breathing at all, if you want the dots to move the other way, you can make it happen. So it really isn't the breathing its your mind controlling which way they go at will.
  24. Look into starchy and fibrous vegetables. The starchy, complex veggies will give you more calories, energy, while providing nutrients and the fibrous will give you fiber, nutrients, but relatively lower calories. Then then there are simple sugars, you want to try to eliminate these (all processed forms) But fruits can give you quick energy, in the form of fructose, but they don't spike your blood sugar as rapidly as processed simple sugars and many contain all sorts of vitamins/minerals/phytochemicals. Check out this article for a basic guide: https://www.swimming.org/justswim/beginner-guide-carbs/ If you want to keep sandwiches, look into Ezekiel bread. Its made from grains which have sprouted before being milled into flour. And it tastes delicious. A good complex carb source in your diet, keeping the convenience of sandwiches.
  25. Stepping in the runners POV, a lot of dedication and training go into preparing for the marathon. The marathon is an event that would no doubt be extremely unhealthy if done of a regular basis (like alcohol) it is extremely stressful to the body. But the runner has trained for this with a lot of hard work and time dedicated. Probably with an extremely strict diet/lifestyle as well if seriously competitive. Around the marathon you are really trying to get as much caloric energy in your body as you can. Afterwards, you are so depleted, your big event is over, I can see why you want to let loose and celebrate, reward yourself. The beer here serving 2 functions, to replenish (as any other shitty carb source would do here lol) but also give yourself a reward after all that effort and training. Since alcohol is a toxin, in small amounts consumed it can be categorized as hormesis, basically exposing your body to small amount of stress/toxicity than gives you benefits. Just like cold showers, eating raw plant foods, exercise, all forms of hormesis. But with the alcohol the margin of benefit is definitely low. But imo, if its something you enjoy, the psychological reward payoff could definitely be of value to you.
