  1. Because if you stay getting high all the time, thats going to become your baseline and that feeling you are describing is slowing going to fade, then you have the problem of being even lower when you aren't high. Just doesn't work that way.
  2. You're basing your self improvement/self worth off of ideals that society has indoctrinated you with. You stopped doing the things that you thought were "wasting time" and replaced them with things that are "productive", but why don't you have happiness? Because being productive doesnt equal happiness. This is not an excuse to stop taking responsibility for your duties, but 4 hours of studying every day? Thats excessive. If you love what you are studying, it shouldnt feel like work to you. You can probably get all your assignments done and get the understanding you need to pass in 1-2 hours a day. Spend those 2 extra hours "not doing". Just be, meditate, or whatever puts you in the present moment, escape trying to be productive.
  3. Haven't awakened in one fell swoop on psychedelics, but have accessed mystical states that have opened my mind in ways I didn't think were possible and have been a huge catalyst into personal growth and deeper inquiry into the nature of reality. The psychedelics didn't do it alone for me, its all about intention and what your mind is open to, how deeply you question, the understanding you already have. You need some context into non-duality as a roadmap and not be locked into any limiting paradigm.
  4. @LfcCharlie4 The best quote to live by I have discovered that keeps you in check to make sure your training intensity/frequency is in the normal range is: "Training should feel like sex" This is always accurate in my experience. Sometimes you go heavy/intense, it feels amazing, like sex. That is the feedback that your body can handle it. When you are going at that same intensity and it feels like death, you are starting to swim in dangerous waters for your nervous system and increasing the likelihood of injury or dysfunction. If thats the case lower the intensity, do lighter weights, get a pump with a lot of blood flow to your extremities and that should "feel like sex". This is some wisdom many people seriously into fitness haven't discovered yet.
  5. I think the answer to this is God is infinite love and the fact that God has nothing to fear in its absolute form. Theres no limits to anything so any limits you are assuming has to replay over and over is not the case.
  6. Forget Sam Harris, you can’t really say anyone is 100% one stage, its highly nuanced, the colors blend together at different degrees.
  7. @LfcCharlie4 BTW Yeah Ben Greenfield is shredded, if only we all could inject stem cells regularly .
  8. Yes, I have found training for gains purely makes you neurotic and unhappy. Doesn't matter how much muscle you have really, you are always unsatisfied. When you take a primarily health oriented approach with exploring movement (developing a wide range of skills) and challenging your body/mind to become stronger you get more fulfillment. Theres always that part of you that wants to look good naked, of course, but thats just a partial slice of the pie. When it comes to attracting women it really doesn't matter all that much in the big picture. Can't put all your eggs in that basket.
  9. @LfcCharlie4 I usually do a couple days a week focused on strength/power with things like barbell lifts/olympic lifting, a couple days where I do conditioning, primarily with kettlebells and bodyweight, and a couple days where the intensity is dialed back and I do some bodybuilding with dumbells where I take the reps higher with lower weight, slow the tempo and focus on movement quality keeping in some functional movements. Mobility is also a huge thing I work on every day. My eating is all intuitive (Paul Chek has a good podcast episode on intuitive eating), just sticking to clean foods listening to my body, when the workout intensity is high I take in bigger portions and go higher carbs, when its lower, especially earlier in the day I go keto and try to keep my body in a fat burning mode with low glycemic variability. Basically what Ben Greenfield proposes, I have found that works for me as well. When I workout later in the day after some meals prior, I do more hypertrophy, glycogen depleting style workouts (functional bodybuilding) and early morning workouts where I just put some fat in my coffee and go, my body doesn't have a lot of glycogen so thats when I do strength/power, heavier weight with low reps, quick intense bursts. This formula has been working well for me in gaining strength/muscle improving body comp.
  10. Look into how much vitamin A you are getting in your diet from whole food sources. Possible cause. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/vitamin-a-deficiency-symptoms#section9
  11. This is just a toxic ideology you are feeding yourself, nothing of which is grounded in truth. You are the one making the distinction between mediocre/superior, therefore putting yourself in the mediocre group, which is the source of your problem. If you believe these things and that you are mediocre they become your reality. Break free from this mental prison.
  12. It may be the kratom itself. Theres shitty smoke-shop kratom that is an inferior product with all sorts of heavy metals. And then there are reputable vendors online which sell clean product. A higher dose may be needed. Maybe around 8-10 grams (completely relative to what she is taking now) a typical 3-4g dose may be peanuts compared to what she needs. I wouldnt go beyond 10 though to start (who knows though for an opioid addict, you need to experiment but start reasonably) Good thing with kratom you can't overdose, at worst you will just get an unpleasant nauseous feeling if you take too much. If she gets results from 10g for example, you would then methodically lower the dosage very gradually to keep finding the minimal effective dose.
  13. @montecristo Have you looked into kratom for beating opioid withdrawals? This has helped many people come off opioids. Its not a long-term solution like ibogaine, but is much, much better for you than opioids.
  14. It can be cardiotoxic at certain doses for different people. Isn't just like salvia where you need a tripsitter to make sure you don't jump out a window. You could have a fatal reaction if you take a bigger dose needed to treat addiction in this case, not to mention the trip lasts 24 hours. Is a trip sitter going to stay awake with you for 24 hours?
  15. Ibogaine is like the psychedelic version of "scared straight" (salvia too)
  16. This virus looks like a dog toy.
  17. Unless you are competing for an actual bodybuilding competition, which takes an extremely rigorous lifestyle, this "bulking and cutting" cycle idea is nonsense for the average person who just wants to gain muscle and lose fat. Not only is it unnecessary from attaining an attractive physique, its unhealthy and puts a a ton of unnecessary stress on your body. Its an outdated idea that 99% of "gym noobs" are indoctrinated with and I fell into that trap myself years ago. I learned first hand that real gains in strength/muscle/physique take immense patience and you aren't going to get there with a couple years of bulking and cutting. It doesn't work in the way you think, you aren't going to go bulk/cut, then ditch that and do maintenance. You are never going to be satisfied with your body that way. Also: You are indoctrinated by the fitness industry which only cares about selling you phony supplements and a phony lifestyle that once you stop "eating big" you will lose your gains. This is extremely false. They try and say if you go longer than 8 hours without eating (or some similar number) you will start becoming "catabolic". The truth is, it takes waaaayy way longer for your body to start becoming catabolic and using its own muscle tissue for fuel, you would have to really undernourish yourself. All this eat, eat, eat propaganda is just making you gain excess fat (you might put on a little more muscle tissue, but at the expense of excess fat and sub-optimal health and hormone profiles) Hormonally speaking, your gut is more primed absorb nutrients when you give it daily breaks from digestion (aka fasting) for males optimally 12-16 hour fasts per day. This will also boost your blood serum testosterone a lot. Same thing with the "post workout eating window" myth. The reality is, you want to give your body around 2 hours before taking in solid, substantial food that is hard to digest, this is where hormonally you get the best response for food after a workout. It also takes much longer for your nervous system to shift from sympathetic (intense workout) to parasympathetic (rest and digest) to really calm itself and take the blood back to your inner organs so it can properly absorb nutrients.
  18. Youre judging what God should and shouldn’t allow from what is threatening to the ego.
  19. I agree. This is a very touching video, something to contemplate about in relation to modern medicine: Really triggered a ton of empathy in me.
  20. It can be and often is, but I think on this forum especially the potential for addiction is overblown. It really comes down to emotional maturity. You aren't going to be fiending for it like meth in any case scenario, lol. With the breeding of the plants to contain higher and higher levels of THC, I think this is playing a big part in issue on people becoming addicted. In the plants natural state of having balanced cannabinoids and terpnes, in my experience, is highly beneficial in terms of giving you a new perspective on consciousness. That being said, you only really get spiritual benefits when you use it few times and far in between. And won't take you as deep as a higher dose psychedelic trip as far as forcing radical truths on you.
  21. @Raptorsin7 Its tricky because modern medicine does have good qualities, in the sense that the new technological breakthroughs can save lives on the spot and things of that nature, primarily. But when you think of it, so many of the pathologies that modern medicine comes in with the life saving technologies, are problems caused in the first place by all sorts of chemicals, toxins in food and other drugs from big pharma. The nature of the dysfunction is cyclical and intertwined with all sorts of conflicting money/survival interests. Ideally, in the future the foundation of health will be natural medicine, but for outliers and special conditions all the newly developed technologies will be there.
  22. I would stay focused on your breath the whole time. Keeping that focus will make it hard to fall asleep. Fuel your body with some clean energy prior, no fast digesting carbs that will make you want to snooze off. Maybe a cold shower prior or some green tea to keep you alert. All just ideas.
  23. @Serotoninluv This is an interesting thought that I have contemplated many times: what would a color that was never perceived before look life? If that shrimp can hallucinate additional colors humans cannot, would that then make it possible to have access to extra-ordinary colors during a psychedelic breakthrough? Maybe during the breakthrough you could perceive these colors but once returned you have no working recollection of what they looked like. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this.
  24. It arouses the hot witches. Srs. Personally, I grew a beard because most of my life, especially in my childhood years of being indoctrinated into hyper-fundamentalist christianity, I could not have the luxury of growing a beard even if I wanted to later my teenage years. Once I awoken and entered my early 20s, having a beard felt natural, I was told It looked really good on me, and most importantly, perhaps the thing that matters most: It requires way less maintenance of my facial hair and time spent shaving. Of course beards still require maintenance but I can go a few weeks in between without having to worry about touching it up.
