  1. @Leo Gura For someone so smart you sure can be stupid
  2. "And if you listen very hard, The truth will come to you at last When all are one and one is all."
  3. @Nak Khid Misuse of the word I guess, I'm not a native English speaker. Sorry about that
  4. @Nak Khid The Self IS the illusion here. The harm is basically an illusion on top of an illusion.
  5. Don't know if anyone has posted this before, but it's really worth the listen.
  6. @studentofthegame Very good point! Holistic health leaks into every aspect of life.
  7. @LfcCharlie4 Oh yeah good point on the D3. I would go as far as to say it's needed for every single type of diet out there. Unless of course the person gets a lot of sunlight. But living in the western world, that's pretty rare
  8. Go to cronometer.com . Enter the foods you eat in a day and see which nutrients you're lacking. If you can't be bothered to do that (which is understandable), just follow these basic rules. - Include Dark leafy greens, nuts/seeds (Chia seeds and Flax are really important because of the omega 3's), Legumes, Grains (Stay away from wheat but eat Brown Rice,Oats etc.) and lots of fruits. Make sure to include these all every single day, otherwise deficiencies are very easy to have. - Take a B12 supplement or eat B12 fortified foods. A plant based diet if done correctly is just as nutritious as any other diet, maybe even more nutritious. However it's a lot harder to keep balanced in my experience. But if you're serious about your health it can be very easy. I would also like to suggest a great youtube channel to follow for this. It's called [Simnett Nutrition] and he has a lot of great recipes that are actually pretty damn tasty. And on top of that he actually explains how to get all the necessary nutrients in a vegan diet. He was really helpful for me when I began eating plant based a few months ago. Best of luck !
  9. @Preety_India You're welcome! Let me know if it helped.
  10. Magnesium. It's the mineral that is responsible for controlling anxiety and making us sleepy. Magnesium sources include: - Dark Leafy Vegetables (Definitely not the only reason to eat a TON of those) - Nuts and Seeds - Dark Chocolate (Preferably go for 80% cacao or more, so it doesn't have a lot of sugar) - Legumes (Lentils,Beans,Chickpeas) Also consider taking a magnesium supplement. It helps, but of course it is not necessary. Try eating more of these foods, and I'm sure it will help you a lot, not only with sleep but with your general health. Also like @Preety_India said, chamomile tea is really good too.
  11. @TrynaBeTurquoise Yeah he is one of the most conscious doctors I have ever seen. I will definitely check it out, thanks for the suggestion!
  12. It's definitely 'good' that you love them, but don't put them on a pedestal. Don't view them as "superior" to you. I don't know if that is what you're doing, just making sure :P.
  13. Thank you so much in advance to anyone who takes the time to read this... I have been dealing with anxiety-induced chronic gastritis for the last 3 years or so. I was 16 years old at the time and I was really anxious about money. Both of my parents were unemployed , however we were managing with help from saved money and my grandmother helping us out a lot. So since I am really good with technology, I decided to learn coding in order to start freelancing so I could make some money in order to make sure I could help with the situation, as well as set up a career in the field for many years to come. The thing is I was doing it from a place of really intense fear. I think this was also from fear of not being worthy. Anyway after learning programming for about 2-3 weeks I suddenly had really intense nausea and threw up. And the nausea wasn't going away. I was hospitalized and eventually got diagnosed with chronic gastritis. At the time I didn't realize it was from this anxiety. After a while, I started to code again, and every time I did my stomach symptoms would really flare up. I did some more research and spoke to doctors and I came to the conclusion it was from anxiety/fear. Since then, I have never tried to pursue programming again due to fear of my gastritis becoming worse. A few months ago, after getting on the Self-Actualization path, I realized that I want to pursue a career in life coaching. But due to lack of money I am not able to participate in a training program or take a course. A week ago,I had the idea to start a dropshipping business to make some money so I could do a program.(The money needed to start it is only about 1000 dollars so I can do it right now with money I saved up from a part time job.) But yet again, only 20 minutes into planning how to actually do it, I had one of the biggest flare ups in my symptoms ever. I am at a loss here, how the hell am I supposed to do anything with my career if my health suffers so much? Maybe this is all just from the fear of getting a flare up. And it is a self-fulfiling prophecy. But even if this is the case, how can I break this cycle? Excuse me If I wasn't very clear about something, my English is not the best, I am from Greece...Any help would be IMMENSLY appreciated. This is my biggest problem right now.
  14. @Nickyy Hmm, that's true. I didn't think about that. What about working on a business? While I am doing it my anxiety seems uncontrollable...Should I just watch it?
  15. @DrewNows Thanks for the tips, but I already drink green smoothies and eat loads of fruit/veggies in general. My real issue is, even if my gastritis completely heals, I will still be afraid of it coming back whenever I plan my career path...Which will most likely cause it to come back (psychosomatic again). That's the fear I want to "beat".
  16. @Anna1 Yeah you're probably right. I will give it a go. Thanks again for the help!
  17. I did right after I realized it was from anxiety and basically the therapist told me to face my fear. But when I did, my symptoms got really bad. But that was a long time ago, maybe I need to try it again and open up a bit more, because I was really afraid of expressing emotions back then.
  18. @Anna1 Thanks for the link, I will read it and see if I'm not doing something. Although, I have already implemented a plant based diet, have been meditating for the negative emotions, and I take medication for the symptoms, yet my gastritis is still here, I can't seem to get over the anxiety around money. Regardless, thank you for taking the time to find the article .
  19. @effy01 That's good to hear man. And you're not a coward by any means , it is really scary for many of us to get in touch with reality because we get so lost in our heads. You're not alone. Anyway, best of luck.
  20. Life is a waterfall We're one in the river And one again after the fall Swimming through the void We hear the word We lose ourselves But we find it all
  21. Like a lot of people have said, don't expect to be "good" at meditating for the first while of doing it. You are not going to get many benefits for the first few months. But don't let that discourage you, it is because your subconscious mind is bringing your fears and anxieties to the surface. If you let them be after a while they will purge and you will feel incredible peace. But it takes a while. For me it was 4-5 months before I started to really enjoy it. It might be less or it might be more for you. If you get discouraged look at it like learning any other skill (Guitar, Cooking etc.) . You are not going to get good right away, but once you do it will be a fantastic feeling.
  22. Surrender to the experience. That is the most important part. Also, be sure to have a tested substance and be in a comfortable, familiar place (setting)
  23. So my parents are always telling me about how I was always such a well behaved and calm child. And the fact that I never caused any trouble. So I'm thinking that I was stage blue at a very early age. Could that mean that I have a lot supressed tendencies from stage red? This is worrying me because while I have been doing quite a bit of shadow work, none of these are popping up and I'm thinking they're burried so deep that they will come out in a very unfortunate time. What can I do about this?
