Gaza was firing largely ineffective rockets because they were under a crushing blockade Israel refused to lift, and Israel broke the ceasefire multiple times causing the conflict. Oct 7 only happened because after funding Hamas (funny considering they’re considered a impossible threat) israel moved Gaza border guards to assist settlers in the West Bank. Iran funds Hamas and Hezbollah but that doesn’t mean they were involved with Oct 7. Hamas regularly acts on its own like when it came out against Assad who Iran backs. It wasn’t impossible for anyone to live in northern Israel prior to Oct 8. The actual threat to peace is inarguably Israel, it keeps the population of Palestine hostage and has been constantly trying to escalate with Iran who was much more interested in just having their proxies cause issues. Rather than disarm Iran israel is encouraging them to get nukes for their survival. Iran offered peace by signing the Arab peace initiative which Israel rejected and continues to reject. Israel would rather have a major war than give up their apartheid of Palestinians.

No it isn’t. Gaza is completely blockaded, they can’t do anything unless the fence is left unguarded. Yet Israel is engaging in plausible genocide according to the highest international legal body. The West Bank population isn’t even doing anything yet Israel is expanding settlements and killing hundreds of them. Hezbollah said they’d stop firing if Israel ceased bombarding Gaza, yet Israel is invading Lebanon. Iran just damaged some buildings and said they will not engage in more attacks unless attacked and now Israel is announcing it will try attacking them again after constant assassinations potentially triggering a wider war. None of this has anything to do with security.

Except the constant conflict increases radicalism in Israeli society and causes left leaning and wealthier who tend to be at higher development to flee the country, so Israel’s development will decrease. By 2050 the majority of Israel will be solid blue Haredi and messianic Jews.
