  1. That wasn't my intent, I was just trying to encourage open-mindedness. I am sorry about your personal problems, I know you can't afford therapy but maybe consider saving up for it or seeing if you can get a payment plan. From what I know IFS therapy is almost designed specifically to deal with issues like patterns of being attracted to or repelled by certain things and unwiring them.
  2. We don't know if it isn't toxic to the collective. Large scale sexual freedom like we are beginning to have in societies hasn't been seen before in history, there is no telling what will happen. Frankly at this point based on fertility rates it's possible in the long run secular sexually free societies simply die out. Most westerners would say arranged marriages are barbaric, but studies show arranged marriages lead to happier relationships on average . Not to say I support arranged marriages, it's just an example. In the end what works is what survives. Right but it's not that simple. Everyone has conditioning. It's easy to point to other people's conditioning and say they are conditioned, but often times we are just conditioned in a different way, not necessarily free of conditioning. A lot of the conditioning basically evolved to be that way because the societies that had that conditioning grew and societies that didn't or lost it died out.
  3. "Conscious capitalism" is just the elite capitalists trying to placate the socialists and cause divisions in the working class to avoid a socialist, or communist revolution, or even just large taxes. http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=61403
  4. then why is 50 shades of gray so popular?
  5. do you tend to idolize people in general? That could be a sign you are developing some type of narcissism.
  6. Yes they are a toxic value. They are a massive timesink and will trick your brain into thinking it's accomplishing things when you aren't really. They will make you less creative because you are not creating, it's injecting already created things into your mind. They can also make you more irritable and negative. If you somehow turn videogames into your job perhaps then it is generating value for you, but that is very hard to do and don't just use that as an excuse to play more and more videogames, you should be taking steps to make that happen.

  8. @Leo Gura you forgot to include if transgenders can qualify
  9. John Gray was the author of the famous book men are from mars, women are from venus. He has expanded a lot since that and has a lot more useful information in his newer books and on his youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7_jZT1BIEg5nNGoHSM9JSA A lot of his advice is off the wall, and he mostly focuses on advice for women now but it is useful for both genders. The gist of his message is high testosterone in men and high estrogen in women is the key to a successful relationship, and both genders have major differences that when understood can avoid a lot of problems.
  10. look up symptoms for co-dependant/compensatory narcissism and if that sounds like you talk to a psychologist
  11. (this speaker is not affiliated with the 21 convention, he was just a guest speaker)
  12. Better parenting + institutions making lines in the sand and sticking to them + so called stage green people getting cancel culture turned on them enough times that they grow up a little. I've seen many people ignore cancel culture or support it until they themselves or their friend got cancelled, only then did they wake up to listening to the other side, like Anna Kasparian from TYT. Jonathan Haidt makes good points about this. Essentially it is a combination of young people being coddled and becoming extreme because of social media, combined with political polarization.
