Israel is probably lying about how many Hamas they have killed. They claim they’ve killed 6-8,000. But we also know that about 16,000 of the Palestinians killed in Gaza were women and children. That would mean all or almost all of the men they killed were Hamas fighters. That is unlikely, Hamas is a volunteer army that was numbered at 30,000, most Palestinian men weren’t members.

Hamas offered almost right away to return all the hostages in exchange for Israel returning all their “prisoners” (most of whom are held without charges and they have admitted is for political capital, so essentially hostages). 3. I myself brought this up but I think people are misunderstanding it. I wouldn’t say Netanyahu wanted his to happen or views Hamas as an asset. Just that the government in Israel is doing everything it can to hurt advocacy for a state even if it means putting Jews at risk. The blockade and violence directed at Palestinians has resulted in many attacks but they were usually small casualty wise for Israel, they just slipped up on October 7th. The plan seemed to be to slowly choke the Palestinians and pummel them when they lashed out with the idea they could never do much damage, and then use what damage they do cause to further justify restricting them.

Not even remotely true. US interests are not to control the Middle East, they’ve made it much more chaotic at times for financial gain. US interests were to push for a two state solution to avoid risking a wider war but Israel lobbying bribed the politicians. US support for Israel occupation has worked against their interests and made it the target of extremists such as on 9/11.
