Israel has faced attacks for decades including under his watch. Yes he probably didn’t wear it on his sleeve but this is likely partially how he felt the entire time. It’s funny he can excuse himself as being radicalized from violence and lashing out in the heat of the moment, but then can wonder why Hamas acts like that when they’re locked inside their whole lives, and 85% of their soldiers were orphans of people killed by the IDF raised by Hamas. The terrorists he’s upset at were just more extreme examples of what he’s going through.

Cenk makes a good point here, I’m not sure why Hamas is agreeing to this deal. At any time Israel can take as many Gaza’s civilian hostages as they want, and I don’t see why the Gazans they are freeing will be better off in Gaza during the bombings. Hamas isn’t getting any fuel or an extended ceasefire either. Maybe they feel like releasing the child and female hostages will give them better PR and it’ll make Israel look bad as they’re not admitting publicly they had Gazans hostage?

Every relevant humans rights organization concluded Israel still occupied Gaza in 2005. They still locked them inside, still controlled the perimeter.
