Most of the leftists I’m seeing are asking for a different centrist candidate to replace Biden. There is of course a minority that is gone because of Israel and other things Biden did, but that’s a small segment with no discernible impact in the general, aside from maybe Michigan but those aren’t leftists they are Arab Americans.

Leftists were the ones demanding a primary in the first place, had that happen and Biden lost if people saw his issues in a dem primary debate this wouldn’t be an issue because we’d have a different dem nominee. Leftists weren’t the ones who cancelled the primary and are running someone who can’t talk, that is the establishment dems. How was it irresponsible to say Biden is too old when Biden is now on the verge of losing because he’s too old? Leftists aren’t the ones making Biden lose in polls, they are demanding he drop out so he is replaced with someone who isn’t too old precisely so the dems don’t lose which they are on path too. leftists wanted Biden out -> Biden stays in -> Biden loses -> you: why would leftists do this? that makes no sense, you can’t do the opposite of what leftists want then blame them when it doesn’t work

The problem is that because no party has an absolute majority they will face tons of dysfunction and gridlock, France has serious declining issues so the left and center parties who have a higher amount of seats will be blamed for it, allowing the far right to have a much better chance in the next election since they can campaign on that.

That’s not necessarily true. There have been other world powers throughout history but they don’t all behave the same way. US behavior may be influence from the British empire.

It already happened when Obama assassinated a US citizen without trial to no consequences, the court just formalized it.

Even just basic guarding of the border would have avoided it or most of it, not to mention how many would be saved had IDF not fired on their own people. Instead they had moved Gaza border guards to help protect settlers stealing land in the West Bank. It’s an example of how a population allowing a government to dehumanize another group, in this case Palestinians, leads to they themselves being put in danger and dehumanized by the same government.
