  1. Yes, even though you are a single person ; an individual... The effect you have on the world is more than you can ever imagine. You have it completely backwards. You can change a person's life with just a few words. You can change her person's life with a simple glance. The effect you are constantly having on the world is more than you can ever imagine. Now if you're intentional about it... And develop a life purpose as you say... Then the effect you have on the world can be even more powerful because you are going about it in a disciplined and proactive way. Sorry you feel the way you do, but my friend do not lie to yourself, you have a massive effect on the world, just right now as you are without a life purpose.
  2. These are inarguably the two greatest footballers of our generation. They've been compared to each other their entire careers. But these two players couldn't be any more different. Messi is considered the better of two though by many. In spite of this, Cristiano Ronaldo appeals to people for a totally different reason. Messi is the ideal. Zero imperfections. Naturally perfect. No flaws. The best player God could create. He's a human cheat code as far as soccer goals. For a mere mortal, it is simply unfair. No matter how hard he works, Ronaldo cannot match the natural, seemingly effortless perfection that is Messi. Messi is the manifestation of the ideal in human form. Ronaldo must sacrifice absolutely everything and even then he is always a step behind Messi / perfection / the ideal. The ideal does not have to work so hard, it is already perfect. However, people know in their hearts the ideal is unreachable. Ronaldo represents actualizing your full potential. It's not perfect. But it is near-perfect. it's beautiful in its own way because of the commitment and journey to get there. If you're lucky, some sort of genetic freak like Messi 1 in a million chance with the stars aligning perfectly... then maybe but for the rest of us, we represent Ronaldo. Not perfect but taking yourself and developing yourself as much as humanely possible, given your limitations. You'll never be perfect, but you can create something truly magnificent and beautiful. to sum it up... Messi represents something you cannot become no matter how hard you tried. he represents perfection. while Ronaldo represents what you could become if you actualized your full potential. Ronaldo gives the avg person hope and reminds them of what they could become if they actualized themselves fully. he is a symbol of hope. -- this is why he is so beloved.
  3. That makes the story even spicier ? He's probably an autistic savant, and also a dwarf. What an anomaly
  4. @Consept I regret not taking the time to watch them all these years. Maybe a game here and there, or during world cups.
  5. I am me, imagining myself typing on the keyboard. I am me imagining others responding to me. Imaging Leo give release a new video every Sunday. Imagining have an individual experience. imagine
  6. @Tyler Robinson I would definitely bring it up and just be straight up about how you feel about it. Sounds like he's a kind of guy that usually gets his way also. So he plays it off like it's not a big deal and then does what he wants. As long as you don't bring it back up, he conveniently assumes that you were okay with it.
  7. I'm currently in a similar predicament as OP. I'm also looking for remote work. In the past I did consider software development. But kind of got distracted and did some other stuff like sales. The thing is, I did get a couple simple projects under my belt with coding and programming. I pretty much learned all of HTML and CSS. Made some simple websites with flexbox and all that type of stuff made it look real nice and function as well I didn't do any JavaScript related stuff, that's pretty much where I left off. From where I'm at, how much work do you think I would have to put in to become a junior software engineer? If it's only a matter of 2 months or less then it's definitely something I would consider working for. But as of now, I'm working towards some other stuff, but it probably won't be as stable or as secure as an entry level software engineer role which I kind of need considering how much I messed up my finances in the past couple years
  8. @Space AWESOME! gonna apply for some of those
  9. Sales job in a mattress store. people walk in only so often... you're by yourself most of the day in an empty store. when people DO come in, you get a few chances to make a very decent weekly earning (low six figures at the high end... maybe 50k on the low end -- assuming full time)
