  1. An ongoing abiding? Yes. Conscious deep sleep however is not an ongoing occurrence, and not something to be engaged in regularly. Good old fashioned regular deep sleep is much more beneficial and restorative for overall health and brain function.
  2. There is the possibility of conscious deep sleep. I have entered it a couple of times, and it is not uncommon among those who have reached an advanced stage in their meditative practices. You , the pure witnessing awareness in the waking state, witness the withdrawal from the body, mind-thought, senses, world (objects appearing in pure awareness),and retain this intrinsic recognition within the sleep state while intellect and self-reflection are fully suspended. But neither is it self-aware, because self-awareness requires a level of duality between pure awareness and me, as well as the presence of intellect. It is upon waking that there is the additional recognition and confirmation from our intellect that there had been an unbroken continuity of the primordial or pure awareness while we were in deep sleep.
  3. Does Buddha nature have a dog? Rrrruff.
  4. Metaphysics aside, are you not reincarnating yourself (your personal identity) on a constant basis? Where is this "self", you assume to be, in deep dreamless sleep? Is it not re-created or re-imagined again upon waking up,and re-affirmed throughout the day, until it's absence again in deep sleep? What sustains the sufferer other than the continuous, re-affirming belief or idea that "I am the sufferer "?
  5. Ashtavakra Gita says something similar : "My son,you may recite or listen to countless scriptures, but you will not be established within until you can forget everything." Good post.
  6. This is self realization. The end of seeking and the seeker. Until you have come to this yourself, these words have no meaning. What begins also ends. You are the one reality with no beginning and no end, so what is it that dies other than a false concept you believe is you.
  7. If you're struggling, know for certain, that is not the truth.
  8. If you think "I'm special","I'm unique", you are no where near enlightenment.
