  1. I remember in some other thread you mentioned that some guy asked on a date to marry you. This is pretty much the same situation with reversed roles.
  2. Doesn't the 2nd noble truth say something along those lines?
  3. The question is if you are not going to move out now, when will you? It's not like the situation is going to change any time soon.
  4. I think I did. I took ungodly amounts of psychedelics though, so my memory is faint
  5. Writing well seems to be one of those fundamentals that will carry you through your whole life. My hope is that if I master it now, I won't have to worry about it in the future. I also publish content online and want to be 100% sure I don't publish things with bad grammar. Also, academics. Sentence structure, punctuation, where to set the comma.. There are many things I know I could improve on.
  6. I can convey my ideas reasonably well through writing, but I am aware that I still make plenty of mistakes. I would love to get to a point where I make 0 mistakes, but since language is such a vast and complex field, I'm not sure how to approach this. Is there any software to improve your grammar skills? Should I just start copying random texts word for word? I'd like to improve in both English and German. Would love to hear your input!
  7. The free version already goes a long way.
  8. I've read some of it, definitely wasn't a fan.
  9. You could always use distilled water.
  10. @GGG While Leo might be right to an extent, take sustainability into account. If you cut out 90% of your diet and it gets too uncomfortable to stick to, you won't. I'd advise you to download myfitnesspal, track everything you eat and eat clean 70-80% of the time. Have some junk once in a while if it helps you sustain your diet and stick to your caloric goal. And don't make such a big deal out of it if you eat some "bad" stuff. Do some squats and pushups at the end of the day. Dieting is really not that big of a struggle as most people make it out to be. You just have to be consistent and accept that you'll be hungry here and there.
  11. Then why does rape exist? Your position is basically "Most people agree on one thing, so everyone else is evil and immoral.". This might be true in your moral framework, but other people have a different moral framework. They might even accuse you of being evil. You probably would argue that your made up framework is better than their made up framework. And hey, you might even be correct. But that still doesn't make your made up framework true for everyone. Tell that to all the masochists on this planet That is really just your 21st-century privileged 1st world opinion. How is a country going to survive in the middle east for example if they don't have the power to inscribe people into the army? That certainly would be an infringement on someone's autonomy if you ask me. You have mentioned spiral dynamics before. Shouldn't the fact that there are different 'levels' of morality be enough proof that the same morality doesn't apply for everyone? Your morality is based on the values that you have. Other people have different values. So other people have a different morality. I don't get how this is so hard to comprehend.
  12. I wouldn't go. How is your relationship with your sibling(s)? Maybe you can explain your situation to them and they can talk to your nephews and nieces.
  13. Raping a human is bad because most of us value autonomy over our bodies and that of others. So raping is bad relative / in the context of that value. Some people don't value the autonomy of other human bodies or they just value their own selfish sexual urges more. So in their moral framework, it would be permissible to rape another human being. Most of us would agree that rape is bad because most of us live under a similar moral framework. We have come to the collective agreement that we don't want to live in a society where rape is a thing. If you would want a specific example, imagine there are only 2 humans left on earth, 1 woman and 1 man. Now for the human species' survival, it might be necessary that the man forces his will upon the woman to ensure that survival. So if you would value the survival of the human species more than the autonomy of a person, rape might be permissible. Of course, this is highly hypothetical and I'm not trying to justify rape. I'm just trying to explain to you that even the biggest atrocities can be morally justifiable under a different context and a different value system.
  14. @Striving for more totally, spend some good money on a good laptop. But tbf, the return on investment kinda drops after around 700 bucks. You probably wouldn't notice the difference between a 2k vs a 700$ laptop unless you do some video rendering or gaming. I personally feel like touch is kinda gimmicky. I bought a zenbook from Asus 1.5 years ago. It has 16gb ram, i7 gen 10, 500gb ssd, and an additional graphics card. it was like 1.1k €. so pretty much everything you mentioned just without the touch screen. I don't think it's a bad idea to spend a decent amount on technology that you are going to use a lot. But if I'd be in your shoes, I'd do some research to get the best bang for your buck. This one seems to be cheaper and meets your requirements as well. Maybe wait till you find a good deal. I've heard the Dell xps series is also really good.
  15. @Someone here It's literally toxic. Don't do nutmeg. There are way more risks than benefits.
  16. @EntheogenTruthSeeker You talk about wanting to be grounded and mention a bunch of spiritual techniques? If you want to ground yourself, workout, integrate lessons you've learned, focus on fundamentals, talk to people, make friends and take a step back from extreme spirituality. Unless you have a good reason, carnivore is pretty stupid, Don't just blindly copy Leo.
  17. How do you measure out a difference of 2 micrograms? I'd take a minimum of a 2-day break between 3-day cycles.
  18. I did the exact same thing when I was a kid
  19. Throwback to when I was bulking and I thought eating 54 nuggets would be a great idea
  20. @spiritualryan What do you consider a mega dose? What is the highest dose you have done so far? How many trips did you have roughly?
  21. All except the never-ending quest and emergence. Imo the first one is the best. Integral psychology is also really good, but it's not specifically about spiral dynamics, it compares a lot of different developmental models.
  22. There is really nothing logical about objective morality. It's really based on a lack of perspective, which is commonly found in stage blue. Although I can see how an overintellectualizing philosopher at stage orange can LARP as an objective moralist. Read up on what stage yellow means and try to understand it as it is. Don't just put a simplistic label on it. If you'd want to classify stage yellow as moral relativism, it certainly wouldn't be the same moral relativism that stage green is talking about.
