Regarding the post on YouTube corruption. This is something I had been contemplating and noticing a lot recently as well. It’s sad, because I felt like for a while YouTube was a great platform that was quite unbiased and showed you interesting, thought provoking material. They were not like Instagram TikTok and twitter and held a certain integrity in not showing you dopamine fueled shorts and catchy thumbnails. And now you don’t even get shown videos of creators you’re subscribed to. I mean I found this channel via YouTube and it changed my life deeply. One good thing about YouTube is they don’t seem too politically biased. It seems like they just serve up what will make them the most profit, but they aren’t pushing some agenda like Zuckerberg or Musk (pussies) I was doing some searching for my own channel and it was so hard to do research. Seems like tons of videos are just gone or lost in the sea of slop that YouTube recommends first. Feels like YouTube is just like an entertainment platform now, and even educational channels are whoring themselves out to user retention and keeping people addicted. Sad. At least we have books still

I think the whole “sacred medicine” thing is not much more than a label for people to feel better about just getting high. And it doesn’t ensure it’s safe at all. I’ve sat in many ayahuasca and peyote ceremonies with trained Shipibo and Mexican Shamans from the desert. Plenty of people had horrific, traumatizing, and psychotic trips. Yet everyone just says shit like “that’s what the medicine wanted to show you” “there are no bad trips” as if the psychedelics are these wise entities who never fuck up. Super stage green and even partially purple imo. Also tons of shamans die from cancer from their tobacco abuse. What an absurd notion that just because they call it medicine it won’t fuck up their lungs. So glad I graduated this from this whole ideology a while ago
