What if the accuser isn't about the truth? Does this make a difference in the nuggets of truth Trump is claiming? I do not think Adam Schiff is truthful. In fact, he has shown his lack of truth consistently during the Russia investigation and lead many people to believe he had hard evidence against Trump. Maybe Schiff should be on trial as well. I don't see the Dems letting up at all on Trump in the future. If Trump gets another term we will see more of the same......Impeach Trump....

I do understand this. Do you think it is healthy for the human collective? Healthy in the manner of what we are attempting to accomplish here?

Curious....how will he begin this process and keep the money in the country. This has been attempted in the past by raising the top tax bracket for people making over $400k annually to 96%. The money went outside the country. But there has been bloodshed across the nation.... Sad to say, but if Trump gets in for another four years, there will be unnecessary bloodshed.....Why?

I guess that would be in the context of that time.

What is he concealing? I thought he released the transcript.

Government and Religion did not help this situation. I think it may have been better if Religions would have worked to keep marriage out of government. It doesn't belong in government, it is a religious sacrament. If people want to get married, get married. We can't expect people to change there religious traditions, which are thousands of years old, and accept something so very different. I think these type of things take years to evolve, and when the LGBTQ community throws it in the faces of religious people it is natural for them to rebel. By having government involved it makes religious people feel like they are being forced to accept it. Had government not been involved, the LGBTQ communities could have gotten married in there churches/communities and it could have been a smoother transition into acceptance. Why does government care weather I am married or what race I am? When it comes to government, I don't see advantages in being straight, gay, or otherwise, but I do empathize with all in this situation.

This is very general.....can you be more specific The act of abolishing slavery was not radical. This was done by constitutional ballot and over a period of time. The civil war was a radical movement started by the opposition after this amendment to the constitution. We see this happening today in this country because people don't like the process.........or the results. @Leo Gura is correct, if you don't like it, get off your ass and get involved.

This is funny because I wouldn't buy an electric car due to the amount of electricity which comes from coal plants in my area which is about 50%. In other words, I won't buy a coal powered car. I give my friends who own electric cars crap about this in a joking manner of course. This puts me where on the SD? Balance: Complacency and Radicalism are the enemies IMO. History has shown us this many times when a nation falls.

I believe I am observing some intellectual dishonesty in this forum/topic and perhaps I may be included in that. This is something I am working on being mindful of. Would we have similar statements if Trump was a Democrat and the five page document read the same? President Obama said "he would have more flexibility to move missile's out of Europe after the election" to Medvedev. This statement may have been interesting to discuss on here at the time, but I get the impression it would be similar, just switched around. @Serotoninluv I used to be very liberal and as I get older and do more research I find myself moving to the right. I don't think I was really liberal, just misinformed. Now, does this mean I am going from a big tree to a sapling? LOL

For two years much of the media and many high ranking politicians claimed evidence that Trump colluded with Russia. Is this still true or was this "Fake News"? Not according to Mueller. I don't think Trump would have released the telephone documents so quickly if there was a possibility of illegalities in them. Are there thoughts of incriminating documents still out there?

@outlandish I look at science as black and white. It is either this or that. Shouldn't science be 100%? When I was in school there were many things that were a certain way and now, when I am helping my children on school work, many things are different than what I was taught. Now, I ponder and question many things in science. 20 years from now you may feel the same or you may not, but I am quite sure the environment will be fine. Every generation creates enormous fears which are unnecessary and I'm not going for it.......as I've done in the past.
-
@outlandish The 97% work for a government entity of some sort, don't they? I understand there is a lot of money involved on the 3% side but to omit the money on the 97% is......well, it just is. Are you saying that there has never been any manipulation on the 97%?

In regards to Bernie and Warren I don't think there are enough people in the middle to support a win against Trump. On the other hand, if Biden is the nominee, I think many of the Bernie and Warren supporters will sit at home.

I have also read many articles which talk about the manipulation of climate data. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with them but I have found in my experience that for every article in favor of something there is an article on the contrary. In this case I depend on my own data in the area I reside. It is interesting that the data you are advocating show's my area cooling which is what I have found.

I think they are using children as pawns because it has proven to difficult to make the case to adults who can think for themselves. The reason I made the personal observation is that I have been an outdoorsman in work and play my whole life. When it is said that this was the second warmest August on record and I am thinking it was one of the cooler August's I can recall, I have questions. People can think for themselves, no.....
-
I live in Wisconsin and a couple weeks ago I was thinking that it would have been nice to have a warmer August for my vegetable garden, but it sure was comfortable. A week later, as I was watching the news and they said it was the second warmest August on record. I am having trouble believing this and wonder if the science could be skewed. I think science can easily be skewed, and is in some cases to meet certain objectives. I've seen this in my line of work and it usually comes down to...........money. I don't think it is good that we use children in such ways and let them out of school to protest. They need to grow up and give thought to things but it is not necessary for them to get involved until they are cognitively secure. I see how much we learned about our environment and we continue to do better things, but I do wonder, why didn't Greta go to India, or China.
-
I see much fear and anger in this individual. How is that moving toward green? This episode isn't much different than the stuff I saw as a child. It's NOT healthy to scare our children all the way to the psychologist. In fact, it's already started with many children.
-
The topic as I understand it is "Greta-Thunbergs Speech". Does anyone think it is good for our children to think our world is doomed? As a child, I thought we were doomed as well, and found out many decades later that this was a trauma in which was very harmful to me. How is this (Propaganda) helpful to the collective, let alone, our children?
-
Yep, I think Bernie can spend a lot more than Warren.

I recall when I was that age, my biggest fear was the killer bee's coming up from the south and killing all of us. I prayed that the ice age they were talking about would happen sooner so the bee's wouldn't come any further north. It's too bad we put children through this kind of trauma every generation.
-
What would the best minimum wage be? I think having a Federal minimum wage is futile. Sure, $15/hr is great in northern Michigan, but very little in Seattle or New York. The difference in the cost of living within a State can also be substantial.

I've never mentioned keeping military weapons so why do you insist on talking about them? Military weapons are not what we are discussing, what the Dems consider assault weapons are the AR's and the simi-automatics which look like military weapons. AR's are not issued to soldiers in the military. Have you ever taken a walk in the woods knowing there is a 500 pound bear in the area, with cubs? I have taken many walks with my dog, along with my wife and daughter's and yes, openly carried my loaded rifle. Yep, I'm pro gun. You got that right. Imagine where we would be without them. Hungry, I suppose LOL. I think the tweet by the New York Times was a true feeling of there surroundings in there attempt to protect people from being offended. They just forgot the dog whistle...
-
@Serotoninluv So the fear for keeping AR's legal is due to the potential damage it can do? Between my brother, my father, my son-in-law's, and myself, we have about 9 of these type of rifles. I have a mini-30 which I have hunted with many times. My brother and father have several SKS's which are also used for hunting. My son-in-law's have a couple SKS's as well as a couple AR's which are used for hunting, plinking, and competition. We use these rifles for recreation, hunting, competition, and protection, if necessary. Nobody walks around open carrying one of these rifles as they go to Wal-Mart. My thought on this issue is that the Dems want to take these rifles from us because of the potential damage they are able to do, yet the damage which is actually being done today is 20 times greater with a hand gun. The Dems are unaware (Or are they) that if they ban these type of guns, the bad guy's will still have them. I can think of better things to discuss, which cause unnecessary and unwanted deaths in America. Why the Dems choose assault rifles, which are related to less than 300 annually is beyond me. How about "The New York times" Quote, "18 years have passed since airplanes took aim and brought down the World Trade Center".
-
I tend to assume everyone is seeing and reading the same things I am. I realize I need to be more specific and I am working on this. The basis of that particular portion of the discussion was in regards to registering all guns. The lack of trust, when it comes from government, is the fear for most people. AR's were specifically addressed during the debate, and the discussion was to get rid of them specifically. For decades the Dems said this was not there intension to ban the AR's, but many could here the dog whistle. The next lethal form of gun is not the AR, in fact, it's not even close. Here is the dog whistle; they get the people to register there guns. They ban the AR's which are used in less than 3% of all gun deaths. Then they tell you that shot guns are the problem, so let's ban them (Used in 4% of gun deaths). Well, we might just as well get rid of hand guns because 17 people will be shot and killed tomorrow using them. You are correct....The fear of my daughter's not able to protect themselves or there family. It seems to me that much is said in regards to the tools which are used to kill people rather than the people themselves. Even with the remembrance of 9/11 recently, there were many people who say that planes did this. I don't think it is intellectually discussed in that manner. Jeffery Dahmer killed 17 people without a gun. If all the guns in America were banned, how many lives would be saved? Or, how many would be lost?
-
Well...Watching the latest Democrat Debates, the cat is out of the bag. They were openly talking about gun bans and this has been the fear of many Americans. People kill people, not guns, cars, airplanes, knives, and bombs. I think it is time to work with people and help them instead of blame them, and the tools they choose to do evil. Love and tolerance of others.
