@Kalki Avatar That's good. I've found that too much mind wondering over sexual ideas, if they are that vivid, can easily lead into having blue balls, which could also trigger flatlines or could occur during flatlines. The experience can be painful, and could lead to strangely enough feelings of defeat, loneliness and depression, especially when faced with the possibility of intentionally jerking off to release some of that tension. If you don't have enough letting go or meditation experience, you won't likely survive through the experience.

@FlowerNote I hope you can recover from this. Pornography can be abused easily.
-
@Girzo That's great! I assume you're on Nofap monk mode?

@Harikrishnan It isn't wrong, it's energetic really. If you haven't researched and done enough chi-gong, or microcosmic chi orbit meditation, or studied the chi meridian system, then it won't make sense. Leo is interpreting semen retention as biological, not energetic/spiritual. Best thing to do is to do your own research and practice.

@Consilience Good on you for quitting porn! The sleep issue could be resolved by doing work outs more closer to the late afternoon. That way the exhaustion can be beneficial for sleep. Doing yoga, chi-gong, meditation and sleep meditation helps too.

@diamondpenguin This is why you must do some form of yoga and/or chi gong, or meditation, to calm yourself down! Meditation, yoga and chi gong are like yin aspects of the Tao. Follow these yin-activities with exercises like calisthenics, weight lifting, cardio, isometrics, martial arts or anything that funnels some built-up tension in your mind into yang aspects. About wet dreams, sometimes they occur if you allow the mind to wonder around sexual ideas. They really don't occur frequently, normally wet dreams happen once a month or twice a month. Any higher frequency is because the mind wonderings.

@Stenne Semen retention works only if you have a goal or desire in mind to funnel that extra energy, extra motivation and mental clarity! I've done very long streaks and can tell you it works when you put that energy to use. There are geniuses in the past that have done some form of sexual abstinence to give themselves a boost in energy. Leo isn't a leading authority on sexual abstinence or Nofap because honestly he hasn't even done the practice nor told anybody he done Nofap in the first place. He made a video about his healing journey after using 5 meo-dmt for a month, and he admitted to having a porn collection and viewing it often. His position can only have value if your are as horny as him, so any higher degree of difference in horniness isn't going to compute at all! So, I'm saying it works, the question then becomes this: Would you like to verify for yourself? Spend time thinking it carefully if this is the right choice based on your current situations in life. That's all! Also, I hope you experience what I've experienced with this practice because it's amazing!

@Lyubov That's how to do Nofap properly, you use the energy it gives you into some passion or hobbies you have.

@28 cm unbuffed This is the key right here! One of the biggest mistakes anybody can make trying out Nofap whatever mode it is, is to make the Nofap a priority. Big mistake, because you'd just sit there not trying to sexually transmute that energy into your passions, your career, your mind, your body even get's the energy to apply to working out/martial arts training, and so much more to sexually transmute energy into. I honestly will not take anyone's words seriously if you haven't given Nofap a really good go. Any justification to explain the attempt not to try it out is ego justifications. For anyone interested in this practice, try out the Nofap for 30 days, 90 days, 180 days and 365 days, hard mode or monk mode mode, and come back here and we can have a good discussion about it. Otherwise it's just excuses to try it out or excuses to not do it. Below are some lists of geniuses that have done this practice to a degree. You can find more examples. Swami Vivekananda was one of the very few that took this practice hard core, full sexual abstinence for 10+ years, and he achieved ridiculous feats of human intellect and physicality, despite his early death from tuberculosis. Mike Tyson is a really good example of this practice. For 5 years straight, he abstained from masturbation, sexually transmuted most of his energy into boxing, built himself up like a bull with the help of his coach and dominated most of the boxes in his prime years. However, notice when he changed his coach for a new one, allowed success to get into his head, and started messing with women, he starts to lose his edge, his stamina and struggled much more in fights, despite his bipolar disorder. Bruce Lee was another amazing example of supreme fitness and mentality, thanks to this practice which gave him that much energy to put into training like crazy that for his small frame he could lift ridiculously heavy weights and hold them out for long periods of time, while having super fast reflexes and speed. Nikola Tesla is another genius that sexually transmuted his energy into his mind and is able to design machine parts, and I mean every part of a machine, before putting it on blue print!

@Chumbimba I can relate to the feeling. I've had a wet dream in the past and I couldn't remember what the dream was about, so it sort of felt like I was robbed under my feet. A bit later, during a lucid dream, I literally had sex with a woman, which became a wet dream and felt deeply satisfied.

@Arcangelo Don't spoil the secret

@Dryas It's worth giving Nofap a try. From 90 days to 30 days, even if it's for 2 weeks, it feels amazing. Also, if you do relapse, which I guarantee will happen frequently, the masturbation and orgasm you'll feel is incomparable to the masturbation any average guys does for a day or multiple times a day. I've fapped many times a day to different types of porn, had real sex with women, but sorry, nothing compares to releasing sexual energy, either a relapse or when the release is intentional, the orgasm is far more amazing!

@Space First of all, congrates on trying out the Nofap challenge! I've done a few 90+ day challenges and I say it's worth it for most average people to push it to around 30-90 days. The first 1-2 weeks I've experienced the following: A huge increase in energy, so much that when I was doing body weight exercises, I'd be doing more push-ups, pull-ups with more intensity and volume, and I ran for an hour when my limit is 20-30 mins. Even tiring myself out still didn't effect my energy late at night. My brain fog significantly lifted from abstain from porn, slightly more than meditation, and I'm able to think more clearly and articulate my opinions to family, friends and people. My anxiety around people in general decreased and feelings of confidence occur more often whenever I socialize or visualize on things. I felt more positive moods than normal and felt less depressed and lazy. I used to watch porn videos, read both porn comics and erotica, fapped to my imaginations and women, and nothing could compare to the horniness I felt in those 1-2 weeks, especially week 3, than the horniness I felt in the past. If I wasn't meditating and doing some forms of hatha yoga and chi gong, I would be more aggressive than normal. Also, my E.D became a non issue, and had some morning woods more often. My ability to concentrate and meditate went more smoothly, that it almost felt effortless. I felt a strange sensation around my forehead and emotions carry some form of energy. Around the fourth and fifth week was when the flatline occurred. Depression, laziness and strong indifference to people sets in, along with a slight drop in energy and libido. The difference for me here was that I felt a good sense of peace from my horniness. I think flatlines have their value and are probably detoxing effects to the body and mind. If you know what to do during flatlines, I think you'd be fine. In fact, I meditate, contemplate and self-inquire more intensely. Some of my flatlines last anywhere from a week to a month, depending on the degree of energy increased, and the best thing about flatlines is they get shorter over time, in relation to your porn/sex addiction.

Just appreciate that without Christian, and other religious moral codes, most people would behave like animals. -
I'd recommend researching food combining, because some foods don't combine as well.

@Lyubov I can relate to the feeling. However, over time I don't care as much for the single statues and the loneliness. That extra time and energy goes to building myself up, instead of worrying about what other people think of me.

@Consciousone35 Could you explain which society, which system, which prison and at which country you think isn't dealing with sex offenders more adequately? Also, could you explain your life purpose more? -
Yes, the past defines you.

@flowboy Firstly, the problem isn't limited to sociology, but the essence of it. I think that the act of spreading one's belief is masculine. For example, priests were allowed to preach their religions to other lands and convert the other 'outsiders'. This attitude, literally and metaphorically, is you penetrating, mentally, an idea into other people's minds you think is right. Secondly, those techniques I would also say are rhetorical and for persuasion, to influence or to deflect, and both sexes can do these things to each other. Plenty of examples in informal social settings and in debate forums. Thirdly, by itself, the word 'toxic' can have many negative meanings, and are too general. Do you mean toxic as in poisonous? or as in 'toxic relationship' like in dysfunctional relationships? Here, the toxic is used as in 'toxic masculinity'. For example, machismo males are what I think of when I hear 'toxic masculinity', like criminal, sociopathic/psychopathic males that actually are dangerous (Ted Bundy, Charles Manson), and not the more subtle examples provided by Leo. It's important to keep context in mind, which is what I assume some of the users you've responded to are not keeping in mind, and why you responded the way you did, so no disagreement here. Lastly, are you a libertarian? Because those last few sentences makes more sense if you are, because they value individual freedoms, de-regulations, and property rights. However, here I do disagree because there are ramifications to every action. If we, as a society, left a frat boy to his own devices, without any repercussions, he would take advantage of the situation. If he became violent towards a boy, his justification would be in line with his freedom and right to do so because he is free to do so and he trespassed on his own property. If he assaulted a woman, and she pursued justice against him, his justification in his defense would be because she was violating his property rights of his own body, how she was touching him first, hence she's actually the one that surrendered her property rights of her body to him.

Danioover9000 replied to Forestluv's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Forestluv If I'm correct, it originally came from 4chan or reddit, typically used in trolling or to meme ideas. Probably 4 years ago, which means it can mean almost anything at this point. Lately, it has been re-contextualized as racist symbolism. -
Danioover9000 replied to RedLine's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@RedLine Is suffering also love? My answer would be it depends. If I'm the one perpetrating evil, for example killing people, then I'm in conditional love of what that brings in my experiences, yet I would be suffering prior, during and after each killing. If I'm the one victimized, of course I would be suffering from not experiencing the love that is normal to me, yet some people do derive some enjoyment in being victimized, aka masochistic desires of that suffering. Revenge cycles are also interesting cases of love, too. -
Danioover9000 replied to RedLine's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@RedLine The misunderstandings of non-duality and being God is true, because people misunderstand what the Ein Sof is, why the Ein Sof reincarnates in each sephirot, and why the Kabbala/tree of life is structured, why each sephirot's are arranged separately as realms yet are connected to each other. The misunderstanding lies mostly with existing within Malkuth, the physical realm, and interpreting other realms and spirit through Malkuth and not, say, raising your consciousness using spiritual methods, astral projecting and channeling into each sphere energetically and so on. -
@Bodhidharma Here, you answered your question. As long as you arrive at some sort of peace or understanding with your sexual nature, then it's ok. You might benefit more with doing the old school of pornography, like visualizing your fantasies. That way, you preserve some of your privacy, in your mind and out of sight of your gf. The stuff I said before still stands, working on communication and know when to give your time to her, or when you give yourself some space.

@Red-White-Light That's a good sign to ease off of the investigation. Pushing too far can result in psychosis. -
I've heard of him before. Great share!
