  1. I’ve never had L-theanine but in some Mark Manson video i hear him talk about large doses of coffee being like a low dose of prescription amphetamines. Personally, the usual cup or two of coffee does nothing to me. However, for work I have to wake up at 3am, and and it’s hard to kickstart your brain on 4 hours sleep. So I decided to slowly sip on 2-3 cups cold brew (medium to light roast) who should maximize the caffeine available and extracted. I would not say it “ energizes” but it definetly slides you in this concentrated slightly flowy state. Many people get the jitters but I don’t
  2. @NemraThe Sunshine Makers is pretty fun
  3. @Aaron p not a dietitian but I’ve researched about too much protein/too quickly makes the surplus convert into glucose. Since protein powder is basically predigested ultra fast absorption protein and usually high doses, then there should definitely be some of this gluconeogenesis. Whole foods win, always. Also, your shake is probably sweetened with some nasty sweetener like sucralose which wipes out the gut microbiome, the good bacteria as you could expect. Dr. Gundry has a lot of content on this
  4. What difference is there between straight up buying crypto or other tied assets like crypto ETFs? (eg. MSTR, STRC, ARKB…) I know for companies/politicians and such is difficult or maybe illegal or value fluctuations/liquidity problems to directly hold crypto but for a regular human, why choose one or the other?
  5. I guess with everything that’s going on I should not expect otherwise. Not complaining btw. might ad Dune while you’re at it
  6. Gold stocks I guess. And how do you go about it? Is it just dollar cost avg. or you trade it like fiat?
  7. Bakery: I do use it a lot for brainstorming, and mostly for tweaking or making a base recipe I can base off. That is specially helpful since I’m not experienced enough to be able to create something from scratch or make a tweak to get to a very specific result. It is not perfect but it gets me like 60-80% of the way there. With limited budget it really helps not having to experiment from 0.
  8. Some Chinese folk through messages attached to ETH transfer to some accounts, including WikiLeaks, warns about mind-computer technology used to deprive people of their senses, weaponizing animals among other things, all used by military and private sector. He claims to have realized he’d been mind controlled his whole life. He also killed himself after sending this into the blockchain from what I understand. There are many sources reporting this. None mainstream that I could find. https://www.tradingview.com/news/cointelegraph:85e7c466e094b:0-programmer-sends-2m-eth-to-wikileaks-alleging-brain-computer-weapons/
  9. Cocoa butter with some milk and sugar? Sure
  10. @something_else I mean. Mind-computer tech does exist. Very primitive from what I know, like Elon’s brain chips. But you’re right. The guy saying he was mind controlled all his life and killing himself should point to some craziness. Also Wikileaks stopped publishing years ago right?
  11. Le Creuset has stated that Dune and Palm are the only colors that are lead and cadmium free. Enameled cast iron. Your basically cooking on glass. As non reactive as you can get. Even stainless steel from what i understand can leach stuff like chromium or copper depending on what’s in it. I would go with some reputable brand. Just like ceramics, the enamel could contain heavy metals too. According to some info I read online products from China, ceramics (as opposed to iron) and very bright glazes (like red) tend to have more heavy metals. I used french-made Le Creuset and Colombian-made Victoria. Stick to the mild colors. I imagine, just like tattoo ink you can get an idea of what metals might me brewery depending on the color. Other options are glass dishes but even those can have some nasty stuff.
  12. Probably you know him but SquatUniversity has great content on training related to anatomy, injurys, dysfunction, etc. I’ve seen he’s done content on kettlebells for correcting posture and imbalances and I think he’s talked about flat feet
  13. Comedy is the tell tale sign of intelligent life.
  14. México, known for its machismo just elected their first ever female president: Claudia Sheinbaum. That’s a big deal in and of itself. Seems like first world countries are starting to lag behind hehe. Besides the broken gender barrier, it’s the second period Mexico gets a president that not only has some dignity and respect for humans and the country, but actually has passion and a deep love for the common people and the land. In my opinion (which is shared by 65% of the country) Andres Manuel (the current president) has done a historically good job. He managed to disrupt and hopefully put an end to the decades (basically 90 years) of combined government form the parties PAN (religious) and PRI (capitalist bullshit) which managed to run a masked dictatorship selling and exploiting every single thing this country has, from its people, to its resources and its freedom. During the campaigns, you could taste the desperation the old parties have (they even had to join forces) as they realize their time is done.
  15. @Twentyfirst even if she was a man, we got a great politician. But it is important to recognize that she got to win despite the fact she is a woman in an very sexist country. There are worse places, no doubt.
  16. Why do I (we?) get hooked on what triggers air trauma more specifically patterns of inconsistent attention/affection?
  17. So a girl and I became friends during lockdown, we weren't best buddies but I'd like to believe we where somewhat close. We kinda drifted apart towards the end of lockdown and then we each went abroad for a year and when we came back, naturally the friendship was a bit weak. I tried to take steps to regrow the friendship and it did for a couple months (still not best friends) and we each have our own friend group. A couple months ago, as a result of some constant teasing and suspicious jokes, what I thought was a date (and a couple of rejected invitations) between the two of us, she came to a friend of mine and asked about me, more specifically if I liked her and that she had only ever meant friendship. He told me about it (as it was intended) and I felt cornered to tell her that (indeed) I liked her but I wasn't planning on trying anything and just beings friends was just fine. She took it quite good. The next couple of weeks she even seemed friendlier than usual. After that her openness and warmth started rapidly deteriorating for some reason. To my knowledge I never offended her or anything. After confessing to her I did try to do friend stuff and just be friendly to her (I didn't wanna make a weird thing out of the situation) but maybe at some point she got weirded out, thought I was still pursuing her or something. It has gotten to the point where she won't text me unless she needs something like homework, and never replies. And in person she rarely ever talks to me out of her own initiative and when in a group she won't even look at me when talking. She even exploded and shouted at me a couple of times when she got stressed out about something (so bad she even came back to say sorry some of the times, but that was the only sign of friendliness). However, she doesn't actively avoid me, meaning she doesn't turn around and walk away when I approach her. To be honest, she isn't that close of a friend and I don't know of its worth risking making things worse and talking to her to try to figure what's wrong. Maybe she just decided she's not even interested in being friends, which is fine, but I would like to know just so I can move on. Getting close to the end of the term, I wouldn't wanna leave this festering during winter break.
  18. @Shrooms_Alvarez Why r u trying to replace friendship with prostitution?
  19. @Basman Idk, I don't feel comfortable cutting her loose just like that. How would look like anyways. The thing is we'll be sharing all clases next (and last) semester and then were graduating and I really wouldn't want to end things with her like that, but as you say, it seems that she really doesn't give a shit so why would I.
  20. During the trips (LSD, shrooms) I have a real bad time with my balance and there some very noticeable muscle soreness and fatigue. And it feels as if my weight shifts to wherever I lean. I find it quite hard just to walk around to get water or smth . It’s not so bad that I’m unable to function but it’s bad enough that I just lay in bed for most of the trip. And maybe it is the laying in bed but I get quite drowsy too.
  21. @DefinitelyNotARobot the LSD where more on the stressful side (one was definitely a bad trip) though not the whole lengths of the trips. The shrooms were quite pleasant but there where some background concerns about the trip going haywire and just life stuff. Energetic music really helps to counter act the lethargy and weakness
  22. @Francis777 Three 150ug acid and a 2g shrooms
  23. @Francis777 I’m definitely not in peak health but I ain’t very experienced with psychedelics either. Maybe it has to do more with experience?
