  1. Hi all, When using the do nothing technique, it seems as if certain thoughts do not come up during the meditation, however as you get on with the day, they tend to show up. Why do these same thoughts not come up during the meditation ?
  2. @Falk Mainly negative ones which do show up randomly throughout the day. For example, maybe re-running arguments that may have been had with co-workers a few days ago which do not come to surface using "do nothing" but can surface later through the day.
  3. @vizual Hey, Yep, it seems as if i can go into a retracted state throughout the day, where certain negative thoughts randomly appear that do not appear during the meditation
  4. Hey guys, Can someone make it clear what the distinction between these 2 things are. How can you be sure, especially when using the do nothing technique, you are not just daydreaming. I think this was mentioned in a comment on a video and Leo said daydreaming does not produce any results.
  5. @cetus56 Yep, it seems difficult to really know if your falling into the trap of day dreaming or actually meditating !
  6. Hey everyone, I wanted to get your opinions on choosing to meditate at different times of the day. For e.g, if you know you need to do something in the morning and delay meditating till after the activity is done, wont you benefit more ? Rather than having that thought constantly appearing in the morning. Or does it really matter ?
  7. Hey all, I was wondering if anyone has read this book. Have you benefited from it ?
  8. @Arik Haha that seems pretty cool, it seems to get the biggest gains, a typical 20 mins daily habbit can only get you so far. Need to be doing the 1-2 hour sits to experience what you do !
  9. @Arik Hey, Do you simply let your thoughts wonder ? Is there a point when your mind chatter reduces or increases a lot during the sit ?
  10. Hey all, Leo mentioned in his latest vid & other videos that no amount of external things actually matter, e.g career, cars, relationships etc.. but how do you actually realise this for yourself, rather than taking it on word ? Its a difficult thing to accept/Internalise. People are always chasing after externals.
  11. @christianblake Hey, How come you found it difficult to Internalize and understand ?
  12. Haha, thats great ! Reckon I will get it. As long as it provides practical support, hopefully it can be of benefit. Out of interest, have you read any other books on topics such as these ?
  13. Hey guys, Although Enlightenment is probably the only way to stop suffering as there is no self, for most people that is still far away and they seek more practical help such as watching the mastering emotions vid. My question is what to do if you cant find an alternative in a negative situation. If you cant actually see the positive side like Leo does when explaining this video. Or is it better to follow the more recent videos on topics such as these.
  14. Hey all, Have you had more success with one technique over another ? For example, less mind chatter with Do nothing compared to Mindfullnes ? Or does it really make a difference which technique you go with ?
  15. Hi All, How long does it take for you to get the benefits of meditation ? And what effect has it had on you longer term as i am considering stopping.
