This is valid, still doesn't mean it is responsible or mature enough to have it. Perhaps they should have thought about this before declared so passionately on their desire to eliminate Israel and the US.
-
Iran isn't under such a massive numerical disadvantage that it needs nuclear weapons for balance. Iranian leaders may indeed have religious restraints as you explained and I respect that, but democratic restraints are far more reliable and robust.
-
Resolving the nuclear and ballistic missiles threat.
-
@Karmadhi You have stage Red cells in any country, but here it is reinforced by the far right extremists in the Knesset.
-
@zazen The Iranian regime and especially the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is an entity that no one would want to bet on when it comes to possessing nuclear weapons. Its simply too dangerous.
-
@Raze If even one hospital was bombed it would explode on the media. As far as I know Israel does not use car bombs. This "90% are civilians" has never been admitted. Powerplants are connected to Iranian's military purposes too.
-
@Raze All I can say I said in the parallel thread on many posts about the society. Check about the IAEA history of report and basically every western intelligence agency including Iran's rethorics over the years. The regime supporters are estimated to be around ~30% of Iran's population.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLAtvdEtC97/?igsh=MWRnMXViMGxucnBmbQ== Unfortunately not everyone is well informed, but most Israelis do know how to differentiate between the Iranian regime and the Iranian people. According to ChatGPT like 55–70% of the Israelis make that distinction 🙂

They said it themselves countless times. If you generally believe them, so why you don't believe them when they serve it to you on a silver platter? So why did Israel make lasting peace with multiple Arab nations? Conspiracies like mushrooms after the rain.
-
Can you please explain more what you mean?

I disagree about Lebanon and Iran. Hezbollah has evolved into a semi-military force which could cause a davastating damage - thousands of rockets with 10-20 falls in Israeli cities every day - If Israel would try to attack Iran nuclear facilities. But Hezbollah has been significantly degraded 9 months ago so that Israel can attack in Iran freely. If the nuclear program of Iran's regime turns out to be destroyed, than this whole process was quite smart and justified in my opinion. This is true that the timing still might be affected by political considerations, but sooner or later it most likely had to be done anyway.
-
@Karmadhi Because they don't have nuke and this is the purpose of this war to ensure that, what I think is legitimate (if Netanyahu won't abuse this war too, and do different unecessary things...)
-
Only to destroy the regime's nuclear facilities and ballistic missiles.

People from the deep right wing I thought I know for years are now happy from Eli Cohen (in Netanyahu government) suggestion to bomb 100 buildings in Iran for each building that falls here. I tried to explain to them that half of the Iranian people actually symphatise Israel, but no, they are too lost in fear, hate and supremacism. As much as I think the anti Israeli leftist side is problematic, the same problem exist in the opposite side of the equation and not any less severe. People's consciousness can get lost in rabbit holes in just any direction and now they can't be talked to. Will take them years to heal from that.

@Raze Don’t project the obvious double standard coming from your camp onto me. If you can’t already see the criticism I direct at the militant sectors in my society then nothing I will ever add will convince you otherwise.
-
@BlessedLion This isn't about brainwashing. Netanyahu's government is horrible (if to put aside the war in Iran which is another thing) and there are enough sectors in Israel who criticise him. It is just that you take those militant Right wing sectors and generalize them on Israel as a whole without you really knowing the country. You ask Israelis to behave honest towards Palestinians but see what you are doing right now on Israelis.
-
Luckily it won't be able to "defend itself" with nukes 😌

He is a teenager. Not reservist. If anyone do whatever they want the army itself would be at risk. Also the vast majority of the army is not combat-oriented but focused on defense, intelligence, logistics, communication, medical services and more.
-
Usually not. They are reservists (their service isn't mandatory like it is for 18-21 year-olds).
-
Ok this is about actual refusals of many reservists due to a deep loss of identification with the values of Netanyahu’s government (translated with Google Lens)
-
Actually today - yes. Many refuse to do reserves but I will add to here what I read after I find it. Here is data about units inside IDF calling to end the war: https://x.com/restart_israel/status/1913233098356949215 The olive-green circles are IDF units, and the numbers are IDF serving members who participate in the official letters. No official refusal mentioned here but as far as I know many refuse, I will try to find the link to that too. You are right. Most ultra Orthodox refuse to enlist to IDF.

Yes (non-combatant)

To buy tons of weapon to the Palestinian authority, withdrawing from lands, international funding to the Palestinians and public mutual recognition. These are very high risks for Israel to be just "time purchasing". -

Oslo agreement has only brought more terror inside Israel. hamas doesn't want any agreement or solution which recognize Israel's right to exist.
