  1. @Dragon Liege Yeah I know about cross orientations and the terms you used. I only considered the possibility that perhaps romantic feelings and sexuals feelings cannot be completely seperated. As in, romantic feelings toward someone being some form of sexual attraction that is different from conventional sexual attraction. Because you are still attracted to someone (regardless of their sex or gender) for some reason. I think that maybe that's sexual energy too. I don't know for sure of course lol, but just thought about it a bit because I found it interesting
  2. I wonder whether "romantic feelings" could be just a form of sexual attraction, albeit different from necessarily having the desire to have sex
  3. To be honest I think it's too much (unless they are very short books). But especially with the books Leo recommends and similar books I read it and take notes and think about what I've learned after each chapter. With most self-help books I take time to do all the exercises and journal about stuff like: How will my behavior change? and on top of that, if I stick with a single book a little longer then I have time to let it sink in deeper into my mind. Do what works for you, but to me 1 book a week seems like plenty already. And make sure you do more than just read even if it's boring or difficult sometimes to take notes and such. Really.
  4. Yeah they've grown a lot and fast. In the beginning I just thought they were just another progressive media show, but at some point Sagaar kept mentioning he's on the populist right and kept praising Tucker Carlson and it just turned me off. I really don't understand Sagaar either, he's always happy to announce progressive wins and supported Bernie and yet identifies himself as right wing. It's absurd.
  5. "The company is your family. You will do everything you can for your family" (There's also some toxic Orange of course)
  6. A video from The Rational National: Great development and also nice to hear about his own experience with psychedelics
  7. Right wingers seem to be on the rise everywhere in Europe. It's a Stage Blue reaction against globalization, immigration, LGBTQ+ rights, etc.
  8. Nice to see some Stage Blue at the end with the priest lol
  9. Lol... Yeah let's pray Trump loses and his ego cracks
  10. I am sorry to hear this. I wish you the best of luck and hope you will be able to find healing.
  11. Lots of disagreement here and it will probably be worse in the real world. I can already see the right-wing and Trump use this to deny police brutality and racism exist. And I'm afraid riots might return if the officer gets acquitted. What I see: a broken criminal from a poor black community being difficult to handle + a ridiculous chokehold Some obvious solutions come from understanding where these problems come from. Which I guess are poor economic and social conditions and then for the police a lack of good training. For example: reparations for poor black communities would be a good idea as well as better training of police officers and re-directing funds to social workers where reasonable. Also let's remember racism is real regardless of what happened to Floyd and even non-criminal black people struggle because some police officers are actually racist. And peaceful protests do help in raising awareness. I just hope it leads to the right policies that will actually change things. I guess nothing really changed except now we got the perspective of how difficult it can be for the police as well.
  12. Introducing Thierry Baudet: the new surging far-right politician in the Netherlands. Other Dutch people here probably know him (and probably hate him ). I wasn't sure whether to place him at Red or Blue. He is very narcissistic and he believes Western Civilization will die if too many white people get replaced by immigrants.
  13. Negan from The Walking Dead (don't worry there won't be any blood in this clip)
  14. I didn't really know where on the forum to place it so I placed it here because I did want to share this. Appearantly there exist people who do not have an internal monologue. I find it almost impossible to imagine but it seems to be real. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zj5rdUCa2xo
  15. Good point. Same goes for mathematical thinking and there are probably many other examples. @Erick Yeah the internal monologue is just a fraction of mind. There is so much more to it.
  16. But is that the only difference? I partly agree because in the example of the shower thoughts it's indeed an internal thought process about his self in the past. But not every thought that I don't have to say out loud but happens internally is about my self. It's possible to think deeply or creatively about some problem you're trying to solve or question you're trying to answer without any reference to self. Although I am still interested in how different she experiences the illusion of self if at all because this illusion is so strongly connected to our internal monologue or "the voice" in our heads.
  17. Yeah I'm curious about them though. I also have been thinking about this more today and about how people can't imagine they can write in journals without an internal monologue. But then I realized people don't know where their own internal monologue comes from either. Our thoughts arise from nothing.
  18. Men's refractory period is not the same for everyone. I could only do it 3 times in a row but more like 10-15 times in a day (if I wanted to)
