  1. @capriciousduck I have high functioning autism, I've found that the best way to gain social knowledge is to social exposure with a positive mindset. The key thing when socialising is to understand the mind(s) of the people you are talking to, what are they motivated by, what do they seem to like, dislike etc, this is a skill that you will pick up. Fill yourself with positive ideas about yourself and others and go out and speak to people, you will learn unconsciously. Social psychology can fill your mind with unnecessary theories and can lead to you making potentially incorrect assumptions in social situations, I recommend against it, unless it's a formal education or for entertainment.
  2. It's healthy and human but I personally realised that it makes me feel down for a few days or weeks after, may not help with productivity and strength though.
  3. Are there any examples of people in popular culture that reached their prime in their 40ies. I'm currently 25 and realise that I will have to be personally responsible for my success and have had many setbacks after my dysfunctional teen years to get up to the level of a "normal" person. Most people seem to become "successful" before 30 and I fear that I won't hit any glory days till at least my late 30s. Any examples of people who became rich, happy later in life?
  4. @aurum Becoming wealthy is to free up time to work on creative expression. I'm not looking for a materialistic life, but one where I can be myself.
  5. @Spiral Wizard David Goggins is great for this, he talks about how drive is more effective and longer lasting than motivation.
  6. Western Chauvinists started by Gavin McInnes
  7. @Raptorsin7 I was there today, look at the root of the problem and how you can fix it.

  11. @Leo Gura It's normal to lose interest in the girl after you have sex.
  12. I was bored of right wing stuff and recently started watching videos by Contrapoints. She has an interesting left-wing perspective presented in an artistic form.
  13. @soos_mite_ah Yes! She has a very interesting perspective that I have never heard before.
  14. Kind of a niche request, but are there any SEOs in London on this forum? I'm a Beginner/Intermediate and looking to discuss the topic with others.
  15. @fridjonk One of his principles was to do things he hated so he could grow. I've used his ideas and they have helped.
  16. @28 cm unbuffed yeah listening to Goggins is great for that.
  17. @Leo Gura Any career advice for the "spontaneous and meandering"?
  18. @TripleFly My guess is that your perspective is 40% of what is causing your fatigue. You'll find another job soon anyway.
  19. Hey, I might be down sometime, if there are sufficient people.
  20. Anyone have the experience of having a beard, loving it, trimming it down or shaving it and feeling sad about how you look after?
  21. @Inder I dont believe in unconditional happiness at all, you are tied to the physical world and need. In a developed country it is pretty easy to change careers, look for emerging markets and develop your network and skills, be optimistic, it will take time to change your position. Don't stop doing the things you enjoy everyday as well, its good to escape a bit through entertainment to take your mind off the work day.
