  1. Moral character is more important. Let's say you are intelligent in a technical sense and you leave your job and you purposely leave a mess for your company because you make sure nobody can learn your stuff after you leave and you don't do proper handover. You make sure the company lose customers because of you and that everything is messed up. What happens next? People will dislike you and blacklist you. You also won't feel good towards your ex-company or ex-colleagues.
  2. Haha I think Owen Cook gave quite deep insights. Because most of YouTube videos on pickup are typically very short (less than 20 mins), Owen tends to give deeper insights as his videos were much longer. He emphasizes on gaining experiences and tell you the best way to be efficient and even effective at these is to sign up for his courses or watch his other video.
  3. He didn't say 'no forums' so I assume he may be lurking around. Anyway, I am checking on his progress of how many YouTube videos or social media feeds he watches or read.
  4. How is your progress @Nilsi?
  5. Of course he's right. People need to have standards and they should not sleep around so easily, guys and girls included.
  6. I almost unplugged by not using any social medias and YouTube. In the end, I realised I listened to some music via pure tuber (playing YouTube in background). Oh well today is day 1 again.
  7. Watch the latest video named Gaslighting from Actualized.org Youtube channel.
  8. I also have to wonder how many times I need to install and uninstall social media like Facebook, TikTok and Instagram. My work requires me to log in and check out some stuff on social media and check whether the link is working etc. I used Facebook lite sometimes. As for music, I normally listen to puretuber which can play YouTube in the background but I think I need to get rid of it as well. Yes it's tough trying to stop all distractions. I am starting with removing social media from my phone.
  9. Stoic Books: Ego is the enemy. The daily stoic. Obstacle is the way. Meditations. Shortness of life.
  10. I like @Raptorsin7 and his war with Nahm.
  11. Realizing you are poor at socialising is also part of the process. You will continue to grow socially.
  12. I always feel that if you are overwhelmed, it means you are feeling insecure. Maybe even powerless. So not sure why is overwhelm at 11 and powerlessness is 22. Probably being overwhelmed is usually a temporary thing and the feeling of powerlessness is referring to a long term state of powerlessness.
  13. Write down your notes and then do a summarized version. Next you write a book review and also invite others to talk about the book with you.
  14. If you are a CEO of a big company, you would care because you don't want the underlings to see what you are doing.
  15. It shows Andrew has a soft side. Maybe even softer than Tristan.
  16. @Emrie Well, there's pros and cons to any gender. It's good that you have made a decision but you should not backtrack so it's best to think deeply. When you see the group of girls, you are looking at the benefits of being a lady: Having fun, laughing, dressing well. But you have to look at the other sides as well: what's the cons of being a trans. Also, you should look at the pros and cons of staying where you are. Then ultimately, you have created a deeper understanding of yourself and created many identities. Next, you also should let go of your identities and know who you really are.
  17. Don't worry. Eventually, you will 'spend' the money. It takes enormous willpower to store lots of money. You will buy condos, houses or you will travel to gain new experiences. Or you will invest in stocks, crypto, companies. Or you will donate to help more communities.
  18. Without religion, there won't be enough schools to go around teaching people due to lack of donations and unity. There won't be internet. Everyone would still be living in the 15th century fighting one another for land. Most of the people you see today will be barbarians.
  19. Jap men are still quite masculine in general. If you compare with neighbouring countries such as Korea or China, the % of hen-pecked husbands should be much lower in Japan than these countries. Many guys in Korea are metro-sexual. They grow long hairs, wants to look slender and have plastic surgery done on their face to look slimmer. And are easily bossed by women.
  20. What is the most impotrant question of all time? is the most important question. Because you will keep asking and searching and understand more about yourself and everything.
  21. Not surprised. Back in the olden days, there were so many samurais and Japanese men are very opprensive and will slay anyone who is against them. Japan as a society is still very closed minded in my opinion. Like the ladies have to obey the man. The ladies have to cook and serve the man. Men who are poor have to work very long hours. Kids have to obey lots of rules at home including cleaning the house and throwing rubbish. A very regimental society with not much room for creativity. Not surprised they don't welcome new ideas like Christianity easily.
  22. I think there are three main parts. One part is of course integrating the lost parts of yourself. The second part is updating your belief system. For eg, a rape victim may feel she is dirty or traumatized after being raped. But if she let go and realised she is still divine and that her past does not define her future, she can get well. And the third part is being able to take action in an empowered state. Stop feeling sorry for self and live well.
  23. Congratulations! What is your old and new job like?
