  1. either you actually experienced 'God' by smoking weed/shrooms or you're in a drug induced psychosis and are stuck on this forum posting the exact same thing on a daily basis. Saying this stuff doesn't really do a lot, i think it's more practical to talk about how to actually reach that rather than just repeating the same stuff because most everyone on this forum has already heard this kind of stuff said, unfortunately just reading or hearing it doesn't mean people automatically snap into a different state of consciousness so it's kind of pointless to keep making threads about
  2. Has anyone here ever stood and stared with the most presence they could muster and just looked at their face in the mirror? Well I have, and something strange happened. It was like something snapped after a certain amount of time and my face stopped being MY face but just another object if that makes sense. It's like for a brief second I no longer identified with my own face and I immediately had some sort of ego panic attack backlash where I started freaking out and it felt like instead of being in my body I was actually the whole room or the air that filled the room if that makes sense (not exactly sure how to describe it). Had to run back to my room and engross myself in music or some YouTube videos to get myself out of the panic, I don't think it was a taste of enlightenment or seeing the ox because my ego was still very much there and very worried that this weird new feeling would be permanent, but it went away quickly. Hopefully next time something like this happens I can face it with a little less fear. Anyone else experienced anything like this?
  3. This is key really, I was having the time of my life doing psychedelics thinking I was just one of those people who didn't get bad trips. All it took was me doubling my dose and getting cocky to kick start probably the most hellish night of my whole life (ended with my family taking my to fucking hospital as they thought i had gone completely insane, which I kind of had). My fragile ego was pushed to it's very limits, what's funny is I still feel the call to do mushrooms lmao.
  4. So having read all 3 of Robert Monroe's books on the phenomenon of the out of body experience it intrigued me as to weather or not this is something one should pursue whilst doing consciousness work. I've only had a few myself and what's funny is they actually require you to be very focused and present otherwise you will just end up back in your body so it does take a bit of work on this side to actually make the most of them. In his second book about OBE's he talks about things happening in his 'real' life as a result of his astral escapades e.g. psychic abilities, knowing exactly what card will be drawn next in a card game, another example was him falling head first and nothing happening to him as though some 'force' wouldn't allow him to be hurt. All of this is just his word and I'm not experienced enough to know the effects of having a lot of these experiences but it got me wondering if there is some insights that could be gained from it. Thanks.
