  1. George Carlin said something similar, actually. Life is a freak show, and America has the front row seats. I’m paraphrasing, of course. He turned a lot of shit into comedy gold.
  2. It’s just a stream of consciousness. Where does consciousness begin or end?
  3. Thinking is hard and can lead to painful truths.
  4. If they were in the U.S., definitely not. I like their chances in some European countries, though!
  5. There was one party I attended when I had my longer hair and beard where I was talking with a woman who called me Jesus. I took her cup of water from her and returned with a glass of wine. Seemed like a neat party trick to me.
  6. Long ago, in a galaxy far away..
  7. I never thought about it that way, but that’s a fantastic analogy. We have a bunch of Hester Prynnes now who are stigmatized because of something they did or said.
  8. Why not livestream both sides disarming nuclear warheads? I know it’s less entertaining than watching a couple of bickering old guys, but it’s far more valuable.
  9. When I was a kid, the saying was “I’m rubber, you’re glue. Whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you”.
  10. Reality is. Should there be a reason? Who decides?
  11. How is saving the life of someone who wants to die better than killing someone who wants to live? Either involves a lack of compassion. I see it as your body, your choice. Also, is life inherently sacred independent of context?
  12. Oh, Mitch. Such a fine example of toxic life purpose. Such wasted potential for a smart guy to accomplish great things. I feel pretty confident in saying the day he leaves is the day the Senate starts running smoother.
  13. Probably for the same reason “majority power” wasn’t a slogan for anything.
  14. Tough call. I’d probably switch my shift for less money, but it depends on your budget/living expenses.
  15. It’s funny, really. A couple days ago, I was wondering what happened with this!
  16. It’s the essence of not knowing. Everything is fresh and miraculous at that age. This is why toddlers are prone to do things harmful to their own survival and stress their parents out.
  17. May as well add A Perfect Circle and Puscifer to the list also.
  18. I have no fear of death, but I fear that I will regret the way I’ve lived when I do.
  19. Well, he already lived through one... But yeah, probably.
  20. I think this goes along with life purpose. A monastic living, in any belief system, is only something the most dedicated followers undertake. It’s not something to dabble in with the hopes of waking up eventually. So, it is certainly a viable method for ardent believers of Christianity, but only brings suffering for those who aren’t.
  21. If it’s something you’re passionate about, don’t second guess yourself and overthink. Live your life. Experience things.
  22. Just gotta be selfish more consciously, that’s the point.
  23. Also, does Game B include and transcend Game A in the same way a stage yellow person includes and transcends stage green thinking, or is it an entirely separate thing?
  24. Ok. So. Anyone care to agree or disagree when I say that containment as described in the other thread is Game A?
